So... free ICC buff for no reason to bump up everything we do by 30%?

Is there any reason not to do it? Does it lower drops or something?

Also, WoW has always been approaching the lich king ever since warcraft 3. It's an important plot point for the game's progression through cataclysm (as I understand it... I could be completely wrong)... so I think it's acceptable to want players to experience it so that they have some understanding of what's gonna happen in Azeroth.

But I agree that the instances are not old enough to warrant this buff.

The buff is currently sitting at 5%. The higher% versions were datamined by mmo-champ. While frustrating to guilds who would have wanted to kill content while they were still just barely killing it, folks had been anticipating it earlier than now so it can't come as that huge a shock. 5% is going to help guilds who were dying to Festergut's Enrage, but not help guilds who don't know how to tank Princes or stay out of fire elsewhere.

Ugh. My raid has been screwed by time constraints, among other things.

First week Arthas was out:

My internet dies after tuesday night, never get back in to finish.

Second week:

Replaced someone. Replacement failed horribly at draw-in, barely managed to get sindra down the 2nd day. 1-2 attempts on LK.

Third week:

Replaced the person above... with another person that failed at draw in. Still managed to 1-shot sindra. Entire fucking night the 2nd day (3 hours each raid day) working on Arthas...

I think we managed to kill 1 valk that entire night.

So this week, we were planning to just extend lockout and have both nights for LK.

But now with the buff, we can probably get everything done and have time for like 30 mins on lk tonight, and the full 3 hours tomorrow.


The real question is, should we say fuck the buff and extend the lockout so we can have tons of time and hopefully get it down without the buff?

Or does it even matter at this point...


Oh well anyway, 90% of the reason I'm playing WoW atm is for a frostwyrm, and I'm just not up to doing gladiator again.

But yeah... fucking lol @ the ease of getting a frostwyrm via pve when the buff is @30% compared to through pvp. They seriously hate pvpers so much, lol.

- I just rolled a hunter on impulse, but found I'm loving it, and have just hit 19.
- Enter random dungeon queue, get SFK already in progress.
- Immediately notice upon entering that the druid is begging not to get kicked, and the others are saying, "Well, Trade the sword, then."
- Kill some boss or other, tank shield drops, palatank gets excited. Druid rolls Need, and wins.
- Palatank gets pissy. Next boss, rolls Need on a caster staff, and druid gets pissy.
- I finally pipe up, and say, "Please don't roll Need on stuff you don't actually Need."
- Druid: "i think u shuld shut the fuck up and b happy im even healin 4 u!"

...what?

When bads realized they could level exclusively via the dungeon finder by rolling a healer or tank. I'll bet that he has a main Rogue or Hunter and fucking sucks at it. But the diva complex only happens among people who are bad, so they usually never make it to 80 to be a pain. I'll admit, though, when I am irritated and find myself in a healing situation, I can get a bit pissy if people don't perform to my expectations. I do the same as DPS, though; I'm just bitchy.

I got votekicked at the last boss from deadmines on my 18 druid tank, after carrying a TERRIBLE druid healer and rogue named shaggytodope and vilentj, with retarded ascii of course.

Rogue did about 1/4 the dmg I did, shitty hunter's pet aggroed shit all over place, pretty much the worst possible run you could think of...

Except that we had me, the op druid (fucking lol @ swipe at those levels) in heirloom gear to carry them through.

But they were retarded and I talked shit back whenever they tried to say stupid shit.


So they votekicked me at last boss.

Which is pretty epic, because it cost me TWO HUNDRED EXP!!!

People in ICC25 pugs that tell me I can't roll on leather bracers as a dps warrior. They are best in slot, it's not my fault blizzard itemized them like that.

How can you make an ICC group, say it's Mainspec/offspec rolls, then deny somebody their MAINSPEC roll for a significant upgrade in gear? Isn't the idea to give mainspecs upgrades as opposed to sidegrades/downgrades? How can you deny them shit.

Every pug I enter, I ask the RL before I join if I can roll on leather. He sees my gearscore, knows he's about to invite probably the top dps of the raid, and then either says "No, no leather" or "ask the rogues"... Got in the raid, asked the rogues in raid chat "Mind if I roll on leather bracers since they are best in slot for warrior?" And get a reply of "yes i mind, go get your plate shit and stay off my agi shit"

Not sure about mask, but in 4pct10, bloodfang hood is single-digits in dps below t10.251 helm. You need a vanquisher's mark before it's a substantial upgrade.

Hard modes have only been available for like 3 weeks, and only 4 or 5 guilds downed putricide heroic before last week. Most of the "best guilds" you're talking about have only started working on arthas heroic last week or even this week, you really think that's enough time to throw the buff at hard modes already? Not like people even really had the opportunity to gear up in much ilvl 277 stuff yet.
