Yeah, I'm currently sitting at 538 defense, the resil on the shoulder enchant keeping me uncrittable. Unless I changed some of my gems to have some defense I can't upgrade my weapon. Dreamwalker boots would be huge to get, though. It's funny cause I'm even using the defense to chest enchant to stay uncrittable at this point.

I hate these guys leaving after a wipe on bosses past Deatbringer SAruman. Now my ICC10 is ruined this week. Last week it was a silly man leaving in front of Deathbringer.

I suppose I should have known better joining with people that previously had never gone beyond Deathbringer Saruman.

A ninja on our server just took 2 hunter tokens and dbw lol, and apprently GMs wont do anything about it as "master looter can do what he likes with loot" is the rumour going around.

You can report it if loot rules were stated sometime during the run.

Doesn't matter. If there is an ML, and he loots the item to anyone regardless of what said rules are, GMing will do nothing.

"Players will often report to our In-Game Assistance department the unfortunate circumstance of becoming a victim to what is commonly referred to as "ninja looting." While we do not condone or support such methods, we regret to inform the victims of this exercise that we will be unable to assist with cases of ninja looting under any means. The reason for this is primarily due to the fact that we feel there are several safe guards in the game to prevent successful ninja looting."

    What is a scam?
A scam is the act of acquiring items or any other possession from another player through misinformation, confusion, or fraud. In short, using any sort of deception to gain at another's expense. If you are unsure if your particular case fits the criteria of a scam, contact a GM in-game and they will be able to assist you. Example: [Scammer] says: Give me your sword and I will enchant it. *Victim hands sword to scammer* [Scammer] says: ROFL NEWB! Thanks for the sword!

I grouped with a "ninja-looter," can I get the item that I am entitled to returned?
Players that loot an item out of turn or against the group's wishes do not meet the criteria for scamming, and will not be investigated by the GM Staff.

    All from Blizzard support

basically. Report all you like, blizzard wont even consider investigating. It's wonderful if you are the ninja'er though.

"That said, scamming is indeed something we do not tolerate and will be happy to investigate. If loot rules are clearly stated and agreed to, yet another player violates that agreement, that can be considered a scam. I’d encourage you to ensure all loot rules are clearly laid out in a raid before “loot drama” has a chance to rear its ugly head. "

    Read your own thread:

"The following response was written by one of our new teammates. Because they are still in training and do not yet possess a forum account of their own, they shall be posting via proxy through me."

You are reading a GM response to a forum post, I'm reading Blizzard support.

Pretty sure the ruling with an ML is, he is master looter he has command of how loot is distributed.

    edit: heres more

What is Blizzard's stance on ninja looting?

Players will often report to our In-Game Assistance department the unfortunate circumstance of becoming a victim to what is commonly referred to as "ninja looting." While we do not condone or support such methods, we regret to inform the victims of this exercise that we will be unable to assist with cases of ninja looting under any means. The reason for this is primarily due to the fact that we feel there are several safe guards in the game to prevent successful ninja looting.

It is important to group with players one feels he/she can trust whenever possible. It is equally as important to trust the party/raid leader to choose the most appropriate looting method to prevent instances of ninja looting. For example, master looting should only be condoned and utilized if the leader of the party/raid can be wholly trusted by those within the party/raid. Along the same lines, free-for-all looting should only be used if all members of the party/raid are considered trustworthy. Looting is maintained at the risk of those within a group. If items are mislooted or ninja looted, the In-Game Assistance department will be unable to intervene under any circumstances.

Guy is ML - Ok everything is fine here, feel free to ninja
    Someone asks "Loot rules?"
RL "DBW reserved, tier tokens will be rolled"

    RL takes everything.

    That's scamming, no?

Their definition of scamming falls short of raiding. It's typically, you promised to trade me a motorcycle for this armor, now you have both.

In a raid circumstance they say that ninja looting isn't possible, and that only group with people you trust. They say things like master looter is master looter for a reason, he decides who gets what items. When they take everything, it's not looked at as much of a scam. Item's aren't going into trade windows, people aren't losing money.

Once a ML is designated, that's pretty much end of story with GM's. They just say sorry it's not considered a scam. It's a pretty grey area, since you are right they can consider it a scam or look at it like one - but then they lose their "With our loot system, Ninjaing is impossible!" outlook. There are so so so so many cases of this, that they would be non-stop investigating the issues. This is their solution, tell players we don't consider it a scam, we aren't investigating.

GMs can intervene if the loot rules are explicitly defined in raid chat than broken, but I wouldn't count on it. I do know of several cases on my server of ninjaed items from VoA being moved to the person that won them, and ninjaed GDKP pots being returned/distributed.

GDKP is an example of a transaction taking place though, just random pug loot being ninja'd isn't the same thing at all. The players in the GDKP are all there with a certain understanding of putting certain monetary worth in and getting certain monetary worth back out again.

GMs won't help with ninjaed GDKP pots if the rules for that aren't laid out in raid chat either, so it's the same as their policy on loot.

EDIT: I've seen a ninjaed drake from sarth 3d (free rolls on it were pretty explicitly stated) moved to winning roll as well.

    Holy fuck, fuck pugging.

Some faggot turned off hellscream buff, then pulled a boss before people were ready on purpose to wipe us.

Blizzard needs to change hellscream buff so you don't enter with it, but actually turn it on yourself, and/or then it either can't be disabled or can be re-enabled at will.

edit: can mpk be gm'd lol

There's a reason that once GDKP start up on a server they pretty much eliminate pugs.

Want to be certain shit can't get ninjad? Get 25 people and massive quantities of gold involved. GM's will fix anything then.

Does the hellscream fall off the entire raid if you click it off of yourself?
