I have over a hundred mods installed and each and every single one is working already. The majority of addon authors make sure it's already working on the PTR then push out the release on patch day.

It's not hard to update mods anyway. Even with the downfall of WoW Matrix, through a combination of Curse's updater and a favorites>updated>email system on WoW Interface, every single worthwhile mod will be covered.

MUCH BETTER THAN BACK IN MY DAY WHERE EVERYTHING WAS MANUAL!

My random complaint is the EJ thread that says Ebonweave gloves are better than Heroes' Frostfire Gloves, when Rawr says they're much worse. I wasted gold when I could have just farmed badges sooner.

What I hate is that people say EJ is the shrine of theorycrafting and is 100% accurate in eveything and that is how you -need- to spec and play but from my experience in the shaman forums they are fairly clueless on itemization and are chain heal spamming retards. They used to be great but I hardly look at it for any kind of information on how to play my class

Dunno about that, the EJ Elemental/Enhance forum threads are pretty meaty. I learned plenty. Healing classes are always those 'whatever your guild needs you for' roles that doesn't quite fit on a spreadsheet, I guess.

Man I hate my guild, the geared people keep doing 10 man Uld, what's worse is most of them suck so they can't even beat anything besides FL...my group got past XT-002 Deconstructor in 2 nights and we didn't go back due to time conflicts and such. Like, I don't understand why they insist of doing 10, their reasoning is that we don't have enough people geared to do 25 but my argument is this, and I think it's valid:

Why do 10 man when the gear isn't even that much of an upgrade?

Their response: T8 is an upgrade and you need 10 man gear to do 25 man

You don't need 10 man gear from Uld to do 25 man. I argue if they want to get geared for 25 man then we need to run Nax 25 a few times more like maybe for 4 more weeks and get some people geared (we have no trouble clearing H Naxx in 2 nights). That way, we can have 25 Naxx geared people to do Uld 25 with and they won't have an excuse to be doing 10 man. The guy who leads the raids actually got upset when me and the top geared tank in the guild were telling him how stupid it was that he kept taking the best members and doing 10 mans. He did it last week and he did it again this week. Also I'm pretty sure the consensus is 25 man is easier compared to 10 man.

I really want to progress and even see half the bosses you guys are talking about. Probably time to hop guilds/servers after I get a few more pieces of T8, this isn't going to work.

10 man is much easier than 25 man, I don't really know where that consensus that you're talking about comes from.

As for gear, you can do it with Naxx25 stuff pretty easily, but that's not to say there isn't a couple good pieces in Uld10. Your guild leader is clearly an idiot either way though.

edit: Basing what you're capable of off of Naxx25 is really a horrible measurement. Naxx25 is bloody raiding for dummies.

Like I said, I'm not saying they're wrong. I just think they're accurate on a lot of things. Yeah, the Ele/Enh is very great and that's how I work out my elemental rotation and figure out a lot of DPS stuff but when it came down to resto it isn't the best place for information regarding the spec.

Complaint : PUG emalon. OK OK ! I haven't got much room here if I'm complaining about PUG emalon I know, but it's something to do with simple concepts and pugs and how they don't get them.

Running out of Lightning Nova if you're a tank - how do you get to have your gear if you don't know how to do this? Spoilers : Hodir does this too.
Switching Targets : Is this really that hard? Sometimes I feel that unless there's an addon that brings up a gigantic screen blocking health bar of the overcharged minion, people won't understand how to target it. Tab key or /assist r hrad.

Blargh. At least people are being smart now and doing emalon first if it's at the start of the week.

You should have seen how "Deer in the headlights" people were when I was attempting to do a time freeze cycle with 5 amber drakes in heroic oculus. Stun cycles don't exist in this game apparently!

The fight is mad easy, did it with a PUG group once with fail DPS and shitty melees and wiped twice and left. Did it with a group of mostly ranged and one competent melee and was downing the adds easily. I straight tanked the Nova which did about 15k damage maybe so it isn't even that bad. A good trick is to have 4 DPS set their focus to one of the adds with a unique shape. When their focus becomes buffed (it should heal to full I think?) just have them call it on vent or in a raid warning so the DPS can just switch to that shape they call and DPS it down. npnp

My group didn't even have to do this, you get a fucking raid warning so it's as simple as switching to the adds when you see that warning and tabbing until you find the add with the little blue shield buff. Also the adds respawn so make sure the OT is ready to pickup the respawns.

They tend to afk smack boss, and die to nova... and they take forever to run to the adds when 1 is charged... and if you tank it near the boss, they tend to chain lightning die horribly.

That and they go from like 2.5K 3K dps on trash to 1.5K-2K dps on that boss fight... can't even down the add before it explodes.

P.S. kinda wish deterrence worked on that explosion.

Interrupt cycles! Almost every boss is immune to stuns, and stuns DR on most things anyway (pvp, dude in occulus also IIRC). But ya, bad players are still bad!

I did a pug Emalon on my shaman this week. The group managed to kill him on their 2nd pull, the first wipe wasn't even to the add charge, just a healing issue on the tank on the pull.

The first sign of a WoW noob is how flustered and useless they become when you ask them to pay attention to something other than their scrolling combat text in a fight.
