So setup: My guild was formed by me and 3 people I've been raiding with for the past two years, it was a result of joining a guild led by Atirat/Reshef that crumbled instantly upon us joining, they had us merge with another guild. That guild broke apart after a couple weeks as well, so my friends decided they'd go ahead and lead a guild. I worked to get Atirat and her group of players (was originally 5ish, has expanded to like 10-12 people) to join us as they're competent and better than most of the pugs we'd end up getting. So we had our agreement to work together and group up to do some 25-man casually serious raiding for the rest of WotLK, or until people held focus.
But the issues started. First Atirat runs a 10m ICC group and gets every single recruit in the guild saved to her group. And she runs the group before the raids on raid nights, my friends work and deal with their kids during those hours, impossible for us to run. She saved everyone to the point we had no one in our 25-man guild that was left to raid with us but Arlonath and a rogue, none of the 6ish guild healers were able to run with us after a few weeks of the guild, lol. So they finally get the LK down while in the process reducing our 10m to non-existent, as we had to pug people to even run a 10m. Then come the annoying douchebags.
1) A warlock named plastic. I've disliked this guy since I first heard the guy, he doesn't know what he's doing, but he loves the numbers. He severely outgeared everyone for a while and once in a while would lead the meters, leading to him feeling super proud of himself and letting us know. He was encouraged greatly by his friends from Ati's crew. He was also exceptional at dying to stupid things. I'm pretty sure the only reason he stayed alive any reasonable amount is because he mostly played demo and that gives him 13% more health and 20% damage reduction, making him one of the most sturdy members of the raid. And the real annoying thing about him: He QQ'd about buffs CONSTANTLY. His #1 QQ buff? Blessing of fucking wisdom. As a warlock. He bitched for it every single fucking boss because he would get himself killed at some point in between or during every boss so he'd always need wisdom. As a paladin I typically wouldn't buff someone with a buff rather unimportant to their class if they died a lot. And since I have been playing a warlock in raids for the past few weeks...I know wisdom is rather unimportant.
2) A hunter named Deathshot. This guy left us early in our little merger thing but eventually came back. But he's the type of person that thinks he's hot shit and therefore doesn't need to actually put forth effort as we should just be in awe of his presence. So he never dps'd on trash, ever. He afk'd for almost every single trash pull for every single raid. Then he'd come and put up super numbers on the boss and act like he's great. And he also failed to switch off the boss in some situations, like LDW, he'd be on her the whole time. Hunters are easily the best ranged class for killing adds in that fight afaik, so this annoyed me greatly.
3) And strike 3 the big one was Majik, a shadow priest. This guy is the reason Deathshot left our guild early on. Majik left for some other 25m guild as soon as the merger happened, even though he's been raiding and friends with Ati for months if not years. He also left Ati's 10m group, which at the time of our guild coming together was working on LK, and losing him and Deathshot to that guild threw their 10m attempts back a good month. He then went on to server hop out of the 25m guild he joined, and then THAT guild fell apart so he came back to our guild, invited by Ati without the consent of the GM. He was allowed to stay under the agreement he was just casual and wouldn't be raiding at all, because we didn't like him just based on that. But then we were short people on Tuesday, so he was allowed to come under the basis that he wouldn't take loot other people needed. Tuesdays raid was cancelled because of 3rd party drama I mentioned earlier, so we had our raid last night that included multiple pugs. Majik decided he was the coolest cat in the house as he talked up a storm, including talking himself up a storm and jerking off Deathshot and Plastic's e-peens (not sure how he was doing that for Plastic, since he wasn't doing anything amazing on the meters except during trash). He was in a party with the GM's wife and another shadow priest a new recruit. The entire time he was typing in /p about how awesome the 3rd s priests dps would be if he had better gear, and how they'd both be doing 12k+ dps (Majik doesn't do 12k dps lol) in the face of the GM's wife, who had some of that gear (only has one 264 t10 piece, but has dislodged foreign object, she puts up decent numbers, not great, but she's in the middle of the pack). It would've been pretty easy to just whisper these comments to the other priest, but Majik made sure to discuss it all in /p. He also rolled on and took some BiS (non-heroic at least) gear, when the previous night he knew not to be taking gear.
And this is what did it for us, we're 4 people, leading the guild, doing (almost) all the work involved in building it and keeping it together, but we're basically just doing the work for Ati. She had 10-15 people in her "group" for 10m raids, had gotten in just about every single person she was a former friend with and vent chat was filled with their people talking freely. The reason her guild exploded a few times in the past few months was BECAUSE of these people, but apparently she hasn't understood that.
But basically, the 4 who made the guild and such went into our own vent channel last night and came to the consensus that NONE of us had fun that night, despite downing 10 bosses after we had to cancel a Tuesday raid and had pugs, all because of these people that annoyed us to no end.
