Hm I thought that's what all servers where like as well (besides malganis because they are nuts)
Playing both Horde and Alliance on Ursin, even though Alliance has many more better geared and skilled players, its still a unwritten rule to break at Saurfang.
Made a 25 ICC last night with Positivity and tried to do Festergut but broke before we even got a legit attempt in.
Usually happens in 10 mans too.
I went 6/12 in a pug during the 5% days on Cho'gall...
All Arthas pugs break after Saurfang.
most pugs break 4/12 on kil'jaeden aswell but i've been in have done rot/fester
if your looking to do more than 4/12 on 25man your really looking at guilds instead of pugs, because lets face it, if someone dosnt win what they want they whine and leave almost immediately this is why they tend to break at saurfang.
Nop, everyone just cries 'Not enough DPS' and the group starts breaking over here. Or daddies go to bed/take care of kids, jeez can't even blame 12 y/o for this one ._.
Not gonna lie, doing Blood Princes with pugs is like the worst thing in the world. I can assume Valithria would be just as bad, as with blood queen. Plague isn't so bad, putricide kinda sucks if the DPS is bad and the pugs don't understand swapping.
Oh god damnit, that remote auction house feature is actually going live soon.
Grats bliz on empowering mass market manipulation 24/7/365![]()
My server that isn't anything great has 2 pugs 11/12, a few 7-9/12 (my pug does 9/12), but that's on my priest, everytime i try to pug on dk i can't pass 4/12...
The FAQ is pretty clear on the 25 transaction/day limit. Someone would have to buy a lot of blizzard mobile accounts for round-the-clock mass AH manipulation, a task made much harder without addons like Auctioneer.
Not saying it's impossible, but the costs become prohibitive quickly if you wish to really dominate a market from your iPhone(s).
It still strikes me as an extremely inefficient way to do it. Yes you don't have to be at your machine to fuck with price histories anymore but you still need to be in one place lest a dropped wireless/3g connection ruin your shenanigans. I don't fear an armageddon of price fixers doing it from the theater. Not when I can still outrun them in the windows I run auctioneer from a proper connection to the game.
So my guild can't seem to figure out the Blood Council fight. Wipe after wipe after wipe they keep going at the fight (usually whenever Keleseth becomes empowered) without seemingly trying to take a good look at what's going on and causing the issues. It's getting to the point to where I'm thinking of just leaving my guild after my tank gear is a bit better or just leaving WoW altogether until Cataclysm comes out.
I'm going to guess you're trying to use a 20-30k hp dps to tank him?
The more I do that fight the more I have to question whether that was ever their intent, cause even with 4-6 of the shadow orbs you take a fuckton of damage. Having a heavy health pool and some innate mitigation really does make a lot of difference.
We have 3 straight up tanks for that fight in 25, and in 10 I tank the other two princes myself while the OT (a pally) holds kel.
If neither of these things are an option, you'll want to a) make sure all forms of shadow resistance buffs are canceled on the keleseth tank (this is a good idea even with an actual tank, though considerably less critical), and b) have a cooldown rotation ready. You need to preempt the cooldown rotation BEFORE the empowered shift, because if he gets empowered mid-cast then the spell he is casting is also going to be empowered and may catch you by surprise.
Make sure your dps understand to cease all cleaves and aoe skills for Kel as well, you don't want to chance nuclei coming off your tank if he happens to run through where the dps are to get his next nuclei spawn.
We keep switching between using 2 tanks and 2 tanks and a warlock in this fight (10 man) and we constantly lose the person keeping Keleseth busy whenever he gets empowered regardless if they're a tank or not. I usually am a DPS in our 10 man runs by default but I tank occasionally and I tried tanking Keleseth tonight once and actually found that even with me having some trouble targeting nuclei I was able to survive his empowered lances but we still ended up wiping due to bombs hitting the ground.
So what you're suggesting is to have a paladin handle Keleseth and to have next to no shadow resistance buffs on the person tanking Keleseth?
Shadow resistance causes you to resist the ticks from the nuclei, which in turn means you aren't getting the damage reduction effect for the empowered lances.
Ok I'm going to try making this suggestion to see if that helps any next time they decide to try this fight.
Spare me the cute remarks if you aren't really trying to add anything. I've already done a lot of research on this fight but this is the first time I've heard anything about shadow resistance messing up the nuclei debuff which is why I asked Nore to elaborate a little on it.
