I can't find one that's both competent and will put up with my schedule... at this point I'm pretty much just gonna wait for cata and find a weekend guild or hope I have more steady shifts by then, Idk
I just do 10mans with RL friends and sister. Most fun I've had in years. I pug some 25mans but that's the extent of it. Pushing for world firsts really drained me.
It's a lot like the early years of FF11 to me now, cause of the close relationships I had in that at the time.
Well I don't mind raiding, I certainly enjoy raiding, but I have rotating shifts so even ideally I'm not available 1/3 of the time, except weekends, so it's hard to find a guild, these guys are competent enough to get my fix when I really need it, and we end up pugging to saurfang at least on saturdays 25M, so when I'm not already doing something else I can kind of not hate WoW for a while.
That being said, in Cataclysm I hope to be in a better (hopefully 10-man cause 25-mans are too slow, too many random afks between boss pulls) guild that can actually do shit, and actually try gearing out my warlock (he has lowest GS in guild of the 'mains' and still gets top or near top dps, I realize Affliction Warlock is a pretty strong class for pure dps (and doesn't get hurt 'too' much by movement), but it shouldn't be that easy to get top
Did an icc25 pug, saurfang chest wouldn't open lol.
Of course, after a few people ticketed and I posted on bug forum, I left the raid.
No frost badges even, fucking waste.
Yeah I know the loot isn't coming in, and I'm prepared for that. Posted it in bug forum so it doesn't happen to others if there is a real bug there.
I posted in customer service forum first and this guy starting going off about how if the RL states the loot rules and the gm gave him the loot he'd be in violation blahblah!!!! Guess he doesn't know the ToS still states that the ML's decision is final, no ifs ands or buts, and if you don't like it then only use ML's that you trust lol...
Kinda sad people actually camp out customer service forums all day.
If the ML goes against previously stated loot rules, the GM will remove the gear from whoever received it, though I'm not sure if he'll give it to the person that rightfully won it.
This has been widely known for like ten years now.
TOS pretty much states that ninja looting isn't even possible and that they won't even bother answering the ticket for ninja looting. That is, unless it's considered a scam and typically that means gold is involved. At least, in a master looter system.
In this case there was no loot to distribute since the box didn't open. No one knows whats in there, if the GM gives the ML the loot from the box, he can literally do anything he wants with it - since it was a pug he won't know who was even in there, no rolls were made.
This actually reminds me. Some pug last week ninja'd a dps staff from a hunter in a raid I was in, hunter was like wtf I was highest roll, the RL was like "Bows are your MS weapon". It was MS>OS loot rules. I thought it was a pretty humorous way to end the raid. The RL was a feral druid, technically his claws are his MS weapon... and it made me think, since casters don't melee, they can't have spell power weapons over anyone either right?
I grouped with a "ninja-looter," can I get the item that I am entitled to returned?
Players who loot items within a party's selected loot rule set (for example, Master Looter or Need Before Greed) do not meet the criteria for scamming, and will not be investigated by the GM Staff.
If, however, there is a clear in-game agreement about loot distribution and a player violates the agreement, a GM may intervene and assist with distributing the loot fairly. For more information, please see our related policy here.
I've seen post after post(on ArenaJunkies, where people basically brag that they ninja'd some badass trinket that basically guarantees their team will go up 5 million rating) where people say I ninja'd X item and the GMs removed it/suspended me.
