I dont think they'll include shadowmourne. This is in Cataclysm.

Well that is pretty cool, never mind on what I said.
av weekend as horde.... shit freaking sucks ass. I would blame it on lack of a battle plan but even when the group tries it doesn't work.
My GDKP downed 10/12 last time. The rule was "if you leave before other, you lose your share". We stopped when six people had to go. That's twice as many as any other pug I've done.
Maybe it was a fluke, but it's seriously something I would consider if I wanted Shadowmourne. I can imagine sindragossa being a serious cockblock though.
My server only 2 guilds have downed LK on 25, and I think only 2 more are 11/12 or 10/12. Mine right now is 9/12 but we concentrated on BQL first instead of Putricide, still have no practice on the Abom, and probably won't be able to do it anyways until we have him on farm since i'm one of our top dps.
Abom won't be the issue if you wipe putricide. I fucked up on my 2nd attempt badly (got cocky after the first attempt and let the puddle grow 1 or 2 tick), but 99.9% of the wipe are from the ooze not being dps'd fast enough, or people eating malleable goo in the face.
Anyway, even on a backwater server, grabbing people by the balls with GDKP would probably works. With the 25% buff, the issue is people giving up too easily more often than not.
[edit]
Unless I'm really underestimating how bad the average players is on a low pop server.
i already don't find enough to do on my pally and now i'll only be able to do 10 or 25 instead of both? that's depressing
I'm worried about that, but if there is more raid avaible, it could make up for it. Atm, there isn't much to do aside icc10/25 and togc25. With different itemization, they could probably increase the avaible worthwhile content.
If it end up being 1 raid per week, I will be sad as well.
I'm not on a low pop server, i'm on the RP server though, Moon Guard...and you are vastly underestimating how bad they are on this server when it comes to raiding. We have people who can't move when Pact of Darkfallen is cast, people who tunnel vision BQL and get MC'd due to not biting people, ranged who don't hit orbs in princes and tons of other stupid shit.
I honestly hope we get more then 1 raid, this WoTLK form is getting really stale. I liked having TK/SSC to swap around from and BWL/Hyjal.I'm worried about that, but if there is more raid avaible, it could make up for it. Atm, there isn't much to do aside icc10/25 and togc25. With different itemization, they could probably increase the content of avaible worthwhile content.

In TBC my raid never went and did TK/SSC after we had progressed through them and were on BT/Hyj. Then when we were geared enough we only did Hyjal for offsets and alts, and when SWP came out we only did BT for bulwarks and glaives. No different than it is now. We do the current raid (ICC) unless there is something needed from older content, like capes from TOGC. THANKFULLY we don't have to go back to Uld HM's since we are sick of them.
It really is no different than it was. If you are bored and stale of ICC, there is TOC/ULD/Naxx, have fun. Sure there were more entry and lowbie things like Mag/Gruul as well, or I guess Kara/Za for badges, but there was no need to do them either other than for alts/badges just like now.
That's not what I meant, you did TK/SSC at the same time, and most of BT/Hyjal at the same time. Now it's 1 raid dungeon per 6months of patches which gets pretty boring when looking at the same boss over and over again. I've done all of Uld, ToC, Naxx. ToC not as much as the other 2 though, since its rather boring to begin with.
To better illustrate my point. There were 2 raids for each tier of gear basically. Or in T4's case there were 3 raids, though 1 was 10man.
I see. But still for the most part after a certain point we never touched Hyjal except for alts or offspecs, and never did BT except for bulwark/glaive if we felt like it.
I've actually just moved to a server that does GDKP but I'm not too sure about doing them, you have to bring 15k gold in at the start which seems kind of odd to me (its not like you start with x amount of points in a DKP system)
Yeah the same was true for my guild, though we did go back into Hyjal to kill Archi for some helms, but once we had Mother down we concentrated more on BT to try to kill Illidan. SWP was an exception I guess, but it didn't technically have a tier set to it either, though it was a better tier of gear. I also liked that it had the off pieces for tier to make it feel like the old 8set stuff, even though they didnt add more bonuses.
Doing Putricide right now in 25man, had it going pretty well, got him to 40%...priest gets targetted with the orange ooze and runs right at it and wipes the raid. Thought you were supposed to run from Putricide....
Well, my last raid is the best example of why some raid leader ask people to bring money. Most people only had 500-1000gold, meaning 90% of the bid ended at 1k. Even tokens went out at ridiculous price like 2k, heroic gunship loot at 2500gold, BoE at 3000-4000. We barely made any money in the end (around 4000gold for 10 bosses).
Personally, I would rather bring the players who have little money, since you know they won't leave until the end, and since I'm bidding, cheap loot > overpriced bid war.
Gotta love wiping at 5% of a sure kill.
While my guild never did Sunwell, I would say BC was a lot more busy. We raided 3 nights a week did BT+Hyjal, then 1 night for ZA bear runs, 1 night for Kara badge runs because badges where really worth it back then (and harder to get). Not to mention ZA had alot of VERY good gear for most people (The chest rings, hexlord trinket, berserkers call, daggers from hexlord)
Now raiding is so easy and there's less stuff so its 1-2 nights for ICC, 1 night for ToC25, no need to go anywhere else unless you want Valanyr.
Finally downed 25m H Putricide. Fucking shit the RNG is so lame sometimes. We literally had someone with Unbound Plague, get frozen in place by a green slime, at the same time Putricide threw a new green ooze underneath him.
Oh yeah, I love getting punted into choking gas as melee lol. Kind of dumb :/
3 hours of running around and still haven't finished flames in kalimdor. Go time wasters go.
