Wonder if this will effect Gladius, though most of the time it doesn't show me the spec of 1 or 2 people on an arena team.

am i the only person that hates progression with a passion? sure back in the days when everything was new and fresh it was fine to wipe all night on one boss, and in fact i used to raid up to 5-6 nights a week just because i loved it. now that i've been 11/12 icc 25 heroic for like... over 2 months, have the meta, and barely have any upgrades i can't even find myself willing to even raid for 2 nights a week.
shit sucks
^
Doesnt sound like there is any progression
Convince your guild leader to extend previous raid and spend more time on LK, unless you're fed up with it as well.
that's not what i mean. what it boils down to is that i don't enjoy playing unless we breeze through bosses, i.e. i don't enjoy playing when all we do is lk(the days after reset)
That's generally how I am. I enjoy raiding if we clear the content quickly. When we're stuck on bosses for a long time I just get frustrated/annoyed because I'm sitting there doing my job damn near perfectly every time and I'm still waiting for the rest of the people to get their shit together.
That's why I don't care to ever join a hardcore guild, nor am I even raiding anymore these days.
That's always been WoW problem, except back then content wasn't so easily accesible and people accepted MMOs as to be huge timesinks and grindfests.
Everyone is a casual these days 8)
maybe if the mechanics required more than straight up: if one guy fucks up, you lose. what kind of bitch mechanic is that? also there is such HUGE rng that factors into lich king hard mode it's fucking absurd.
at first i was angry that 10 man was essentially 25 man, but now i welcome it with open arms.
Idk, Me and everyone I know have always had this problem and it's nothing new. In ulduar, I hated doing all the hardmodes after the first 10 times, hated going to yogg0 every night 5-6nights of the week just to wipe a bunch. Hated grindng through hyjal, and BT, just for a chance at a bulwark or glaive... hated doing muru over and over and over fuck.
Progression is fun when you first enter the instance and there is 5-10bosses you haven't downed yet. Every time you down one, it's fucking awesome and relieving. Getting it on farm status or whatever is also decent. But when its down to that last boss or achievement, or title or mount, fuck it. It's always someone else screwing up and wasting my time.
I feel like ICC progression is just boring, I had no problem ramming my head against Illidan or Sarth+3 or anything like that but I just can't stand putting attempts into H Putricide or Sindragosa.
The only reason my guild liked doing illidan is the chance for one of 3 pieces of loot. We got our first glaive before our first bulwark, and never saw another of either. So there was still some excitement to that fight, some motivation. But again, that fight also went down a lot easier.
Problem with fights right now is people complained wow was going too casual and it was too easy, welp, grats you got LK. Don't like the mechanics and the many reasons and ways to wipe on it, oh well lol. It's not the first fight, or end boss even, where one fuckup and you are completely screwed. At least Blizzard did such a great job with Algalon and is sticking to that design for cataclysm. Bosses everyone can do + Bosses with Hardmodes for the better people + optional fucking hard fuck this fight boss.
In all honesty, I'm happy they made LK the way they did. I love that Normal mode is possible to down, and Heroic is literally stupid and unenjoyable. With all that's lead up to LK, with how great of a boss/villian/character he is in all of Warcraft, I'm happy that they made hardmode way too hard. Yeah, it's gay and stupid, but in the end how else would they have given us content to keep doing until Xpac. We've always run out of content too early and farmed the same old shit over and over. LK is different, it's not farm, it'll be hard till the Xpac.
Honestly I think a large amount of it has to do with blizzard making Hard fights only a little different. When you would ram your head against Illidan, KJ, Archimonde, KT, whatever you knew that only like 50 other people probably had ever even got this far on this boss. I loved fighting Illidan even though it took us about 110 tries to finally beat him, just because it was a special, unique fight that most people didn't get to see. Like right now I'm in a guild that can progress in 3 fronts: Professor Putricide HM, Sindragosa HM, or Algalon. I LOVE fighting Algalon even if we wipe over and over because its a new fight, its rare, the scenery is great, ect ect. I can't stand wiping to PP or Sindra though, its the same fight just a little more healing intensive.
Basically blizzards decision to make it so everyone can see the content by making it easy took a lot of the fun out of doing hard fights.
Edit: Also the gear just being better and not being different is pretty huge too. People pushed the hard content to get the cool gear (Glaives, Thoridal, Apolyon, Ateish, Bulwark, Cursed Vision, Tempest Chaos, any number of items) while now you do hard modes and all you really get is to say "Look at me I have a higher ilvl of the same item I've been using for 3 months"
And for my random complaint:
I got into an ICC10 group today on my Paladin, it was apparent these people where fucking idiots because the raid leader was talking about how you got Shadowmourne by turning in 25 Primordial Saronites and the bloods. Also they started naming off their how many 80s they had and such, which I've always found to mean "I don't know how to play I just level stuff". We litteraly fought one of the adds on LDW for a good 5 minutes because the melee didn't understand they had to move out of the group or they would heal to full. Then the impossible happened, I got to see what happens when you lose gunship! Our tank decided since he was supposed to "Tank on the other boat" that meant to jump over and tank Muradin 24/7 so he eventually got killed which lead to 2 DPS dieing. One of the dead DPS was in a cannon so we only had 1 cannon firing, I yelled at the 2 hunters (standing right next to the cannon) to jump in it but of course they didn't. Eventually we got outgunned and our ship blew up.
I feel your pain, my guild is nowhere near you guys in progression...and never will be..but I honestly don't have it in me to even care about that. Sure it's something to work forward to, but when I log into WoW the only thing I have left to really do is acquire my shadowmourne...and I don't really like the idea of going to ICC25 each week to roll the dice on how many shards drop to get a weapon that in 4months will be used to level to 85 then town gear...which everyone will have because people will farm ICC25 just to have one (Like warglaives/Kil'Jaeden Bow/Thunderfury.)
Priests are retarded, slow fall + dots = I can't do shit. Seems fair.
Is this time of the month with the PvP Q.Q lol?
Doing Unholy Infusion.... i'm in the Abom for around 80% of the fight? I'm out dpsing this fury warrior AND boomkin on each attempt/wipe we perform on both damage done and dps. How are people this fucking bad?
