I don't think experience as a tank or dps matter much before 80. Any ret could change on prot and do fine, and vice versa, as long the player is able to spend 30min reading his abilities and talents.

And again, while anyone can succesfully complete instance and learn their class, don't pretend most pug will be nice to him. People hate fresh tank with 25k hp at 80, people hate tanks who don't know the way or how to pull the wrong stuff, and they are generally rude toward people.

Ruby Sanctum opened and my server is down for 24 hours .

I don't get logic of blizzard on this one, didn't they want us and eu servers have same start on new raid? and they opened it on day half servers are down.

Did you seriously bold that thinking there is a contradiction?

Knowing how to pull and navigate through an instance isn't something exclusive to tank job. You simply need to run the instance 2-3 times to figure out the optimal way to do it. It's easy to follow people, but it's much harder to lead when you have 0 experiences and can't possible know what's comming up.

Having leveled pala and druid essentially on dungeon finder and working on DK, I'm pretty sure that is not the case.

I'd reckon that while leveling saying you're new is fine and people understand. Once you're in heroics everyone is an elitist douchebag for the most part though. So yeah, if you want to get the hang of tanking you'll want to do it pre-80.

That's exactly why I want to learn how to properly tank and pull now, instead of a learning curve when people expect me to know what I'm doing.


I had a lot of success in ffxi pulling as a bard, and solo/small group tanking on dnc/nin as well as drk/nin and drk/rdm, so I think I can probably figure out how to tank in WoW - I just don't have a lot of experience with the game mechanics right now. Give me about 2 weeks (with my limited play time) and I think I'll be doingitrite

Why do people complain about extended maintenance? is there really nothing you can do other then play WoW today, it is like 30 degrees outside, go out and relax come home and raid some shit, don't sit in and wait for blizz to be done with their fail maint.

I server transferred to push for Gladiator with a shadowmourne warrior and a gladiator paladin. I made a thread on the realm forum about wanting to buy Bauble of True Blood for 10K and I got a bunch of responses basically telling me I'm a retard for thinking I can get it for less than 30K even though the item is completely worthless for PVE. 2/3 of the top guilds told me they won't sell it to me because "we don't need gold" and "10K is NOTHING" and they'd rather dench it than even consider my offer, the warrior on my team is actually the GM of the third guild and he said he can't get me in for it. It's just so irritating because I've done 9/12 hard modes and I know how easy it is, yet they're all making such a big deal about it. And on my old server I had a guild that was letting me come along for free and they were going to give the trinket to me for free. This was a rude reminder that nobody gives a fuck about me here. And I can't even raid for it because all the capable guilds are full, even though I have a 6100~ GS.

I can understand guilds not needing Gold but 30k for that is batshit crazy, I wouldn't pay 30k for HDFO/Twilight Scale.
