I can understand guilds not needing Gold but 30k for that is batshit crazy, I wouldn't pay 30k for HDFO/Twilight Scale.

I've heard of people paying 100K for H DFO. But I mean, if you've got the right professions gold is retard easy to make. Back when WotLK first came out I was making 1-2K a day just from buying shit on the AH, smithing it, and disenchanting it. It just pisses me off because I know Bauble is going to guaranteed get disenchanted 100% of the time and I don't want to spend more than I did on my Ironbound proto on a shitty trinket.

Gold, at least from my experience, was also a LOT easier to make back then. With JC/Enchanting I was able to make 5k a day without much effort at all but with the release of epic gems, the DE in dungeons system, and just items deflating I can barely turn a profit. Same goes with Alchemy, used to be able to make tons of flasks and now its break even and you have to depend on procs to make any gold. Back at the release of ToC I would have easily bought a trinket for 30-50k gold but now a days I wouldn't go over 20.

Oh man, I hate whiney players. This rogue wanted me to pass on a dagger because I'm combat. I'm using fist/dagger so I'm not going to pass on an upgrade. I spam heals but latency/gayscore/skillz he dies.

Obviously if you do ICC25 stuff you don't need to do anything in heroics anymore, you should just be able to click a button once a day that says 'produce 2 frost emblems out of nowhere'

I tank heroics in fury gear with my sisters disc priest and it's a non-stop run from entrance to exit of instance. No idea how people could possibly run oom, and I'm not even near def cap in fury gear lol.

I shield everyone in the group as soon as weakened soul wears off, I keep them shielded at all times, and I dot and dps bosses, along with healing as needed, and I stay at full mana throughout the entire instance without drinking. I play in windowed mode and alt tab with only the party frames showing so I can tab back and heal as necessary because at this stage of the game tanks can pretty much solo heroics. My alt DK is in triumph badge gear and lower and I can solo heroics just fine. I've even had a group wipe on the second boss in H HoR and I solo'd him from about 20%.

So having experience on both ends of the spectrum, I have no fucking clue what they could be doing wrong.

I really don't think its dumb or anything. Forum will be a better place without the level 1 alts posting in threads. Currently I hate those forums, they'll end up much better now.

ok in all seriousness though lol. This worries me for account security. My email and I'm sure many others emails (battle.net) is a variation of my real name, which obviously is my Real ID... so lets say my name is John Smith and I'm posting on the forums, [email protected] wouldn't be too hard to figure out, and there is no way for me to change my bnet without buying a whole new set of wow discs and making a new Bnet.

Not seeing the big deal. Sure, there's a little veil of anonymity gone, but it's not like someone is going to get your rl name and they can then find your house no problem. Anyone with sufficient motive can probably find a way to get that information already and the RealID change will have little to no effect on how efficiently someone can do this.

Beg to differ. A google search of my name turns up a horrifying number of detailed results, even down to my tax information for the last 5 years, all on the first page of results.

And for me personally, you can find my personal information a bit quicker by using my username instead of my real name, lol. No idea on how that breakdown would work for the total population, though.
