I was using disc priest, but I changed over to holy, and shit has been going a LOT smoother. Currently sitting at 4.9k GS. Got my first taste of a 25-man last night (ToA), and that shit was a lot of fun, but seriously, the retards on this game is really starting to turn me off. I just have to learn how to do deal with it.


I have my UI set up pretty simple, and its working for me atm.

An UI doesnt "work" if you have more than 1 button to press per action! On healer where efficient clicking is the difference between life and death, you really need to optimize every click to be able to react as fast as it is possible.

Healbot and grid+clique allow you to bind macro that trigger with a single click on the UI. In the screenshot I posted, I'm using grid+clique (it's the 25 names listed in the bottom left square). It's compact for raid environment, and work well. Healbot might be better since it gives out more information, but it's a little less compact.

Secondly, decursive works really well for debuff (on paladin at least). In my screenshot, it's the bunch of little box right above grid. Basically, if someone get a debuff you can remove, his box will turn red, and you have to click it to remove it. Simple enough? There is a lot of very deadly poison in this game that need to be removed immediatly, and it's probably the best way to get aware of it immediatly.


Lastly, you need DBM or something similar to tell you what's going on in a fight (if you dont need it now, you will need it for sure in future raid). That addongives you timers of the important stuff that are going on in a fight (who got what debuff, how long before the next big attacks..etc)..


I don't know about priest, but here isnt a single spell in my bar I'm not using (up to 40 now now). Some of them are used occasionally, but if they werent in my bar, I would simply not use them when the opportunity arise. Keeping everything on the screen allow me to use everything.

This. I was super pigheaded about not click-healing on my first toon (tree), but had to after my GM outright ordered me to. It totally rocked my world. Click healing is win and God and every healer needs to use it. Seriously.

I use DBM and Priest Friend as my add-ons, along with other misc shit. I really enjoy Priest, its a lot funner than I thought it would be. After healing on FFXI, I never though I'd enjoy it this much. Like it more than DPSing to be honest.

You need grid and clique. Well, clique alone works with the default UI, but it's a good idea to have grid for raid as well

Just finished up leveling my alt, so been on a heroic spree. Had a DK tank today w/ the 2h axe from H Pos gank it from me, because he needed a pvp weapon for wg. Sockets are serious business.

Restored my character back after a hack and all my shit is gone. Nothing to do ingame with my 80 rogue untill the 11 days it takes for them to mail everything back. They even stripped my 73 DK down to nothing. Fucking sucks.

It's awesome for most classes, from MD/Tricks to Intervene. Seems weird to install an addon for one stinking spell in your arsenal, but it frees up an action bar macro.

after umpfff many years, my lock still loses his pet randomly on bg respawns/warps to zones...

ok when im in pet spec and can resummon in 2 seconds, but absolutely rediculous as destro...

Any other hunters notice their pets losing half their life when dismounting? Do GMs restore items lost due to glitches? I zoned into HoR for the Quel'Denar(sp?) fight and was kicked out for no reason. Tried to come back in and was stuck loading into it for another 5 minutes. Then the server shuts down. >_>

GM restore item you never had, so I'm sure they will restore something you lost from glitch. Might take 3 days though.

Been happening since forever. Happens to locks also. Dismount by using your mark or wait a microsecond after dismounting to do anything and your pet will bounce up to full. If it engages before the life tops off it will stay that way(at least it used to, I haven't really played too much on hunter or lock recently.)

The only time I found this to ever be problematic is getting knocked off my mount. If your going to engage from riding, throw a mend pet in there right at the beginning.

Ahh, good to know. I just started playing again in early june so I didn't know it was an old issue. Still, it speaks volumes of the incompetence of Blizzard to not fix the smallest of glitches.

Yup deffinately an old issue - I still get it when dismounting/ed, changing pets and zoning in to dungeons when using the LFG.

As stated, try not to engage if you can till it's bumped back up to full.
