Doing Arenas in 1900-2000 where everyone is decked in Wrathful except you and your teammate resulting in them being unkillable - THEREFORE ENDING IN 47 MIN matches.I've had like 5 of these now, both teams lose 12 points.

I told the raid ldr, "wtf he's mut" and they gave it to him. Was an awful raid, but whatever. Nothing I can do about it.
Rogue is probably the only class where their weapons drive such a high amount of their dps; I don't see a problem with giving a combat weapon to a mut rogue if there's an expectation that they're going to respec and use it for a dps upgrade.
The rogue in your raid probably gave it to the lower combat roll just to fuck with you Tricen, lol![]()
Shit, I offered to buy it. Oh well, his loss. I'm not even in a raiding guild so it's really irrelevant lol.
Some RL simply don't care or are like DPS spec is DPS. I've had an Frost DPS DK once outroll me on Bryntroll while Frost DPS DKs obviously don't use two-handed weapons etc etc! Yeah, stupid RLs
Trying to sit down and finish testing Hyjal and then get into Deepholme...and can't do either. Hyjal is bugged for me somehow (game thinks I haven't completed the Shrine of Goldrinn quests yet, when I have, so I can't forcibly trigger them to move on), and trying to do the trigger quest to get into Deepholme leaves me dead in the Maelstrom.
Then I tried to test Death Knight and find Runeforging broke, so can't even do anything there either xD
Roll a goblin, new starting area is pure goodtimes.
Goblins are disabled in the current build due to some stability problem.
I've also done their entire area but want to do it again on account of the quest with Thrall at the "end" of the zone being bugged out and uncompletable.
So I went to Mal'Ganis to play with some friends, ended up joining a guild and everything's peachy I guess. I mean I don't really know anyone, and I don't really fit in, but I'm not in it to make bff's.
After a few months, raiding with this guild really begins to wear on me. The guild as a whole isn't terribly exceptional, and we struggle to just absolutely get through shit we had on farm. I'm tired of raiding with this guild, I still don't have any sort of friendship or comradeship with anyone and tonight I decided would be my last night.
A friend of mine informed me that the guild disbanded shortly after I logged from raid after tonight. It was a long death but the guild was dying for a while.
I guess my complaint is that I didn't get the satisfaction of g-quitting, but instead I feel kind of awful about the whole thing. I'm sure the feeling awful bit is temporary.
However the good news is that I am now a free agent. I'd say I'm pretty well geared for a Rogue, but my playtime is somewhat limited. I suppose I could just wait until cata starts and join my friend's 10 man guild.
Or maybe I could just use a break.
Feel you, my guild is going through the same phase... Wish Cata would launch already.
Man, really? In my experience there's no chance a rogue in anything but 264-277 should be able to hang with you. Were you missing every caster buff or something?
Random LJ style post here of my thoughts on the game:
Just probably confused here and I'm not sure if "school being off" has anything to do with it in terms of the maturity of the game/people overall, but why is everyone so unforgiving, I started the game in June, beginning of the summer period, maybe a bad time for me, I'm not sure. Either that or I'm severely underestimating the vast intelligence/maturity of the playerbase as a whole.
I keep hearing people say that they "can't wait until school starts" because apparently that will filter out a lot of the idiocy? How does that work, I mean, my playtimes are in the evening so that'll just simply make no difference to me.
Some random memoirs:
I joined a pug for ToC25 who were on Lord Jaxxaraus (can't spell it). The strategy seems simple (I looked it up really quickly before we engaged), kill adds when they spawn asap, and back on slaughtering the boss. Maybe about 15 people (and a few were afk it was discovered) spammed "noob group" "noob leader" and basically "noob (everything)" and left the group and we all basically disbanded really quick. Not one person offered anything remotely helpful, but I guess the leader's at fault here too for not giving out much info, but still...
It seems to really hurt people to be somewhat helpful/sociable/informative. I know random dungeons are done by a lot of endgame people only for their 2 frosts, but some of the voilence seems uncalled for. A tank wanted to do "Share the love" achievement, I say sure, no one else says anything. Get to the boss, the tank dies shortly and the hunter basically solo'd the boss with the healer spam healing him. After kill the healer doesn't res the tank, and leaves. Hunter says something along the lines of "do this shit in your own fucking guild" followed by massive amounts of cursing/raging, and leaves. Tank ghosts back and leave (probably shocked).
ICC10 pick up. We wipe at the first room with trash, that giant bone thing triggered from an alarm. I wasn't helping/leading, but told the tank to turn the bone only before we engaged. That went ignored. We wipe twice, everyone else raged, provided no helpful comments or hints to the tank who's not done it before, just massive amount of cursing as usual and then disbanded.
Gearscore is a funny territory for me. Without buying the ICC crafted stuff off AH or spending the hard to get Frosts, it seems the maximum gearscore obtainable via Triumphs/ICC 5man Dungeons is about 4900 (I was stuck there for a long time until I was on holiday to allow my RL friends in guild to slot me in for their ICC runs). Yet I've noticed all leaders looking to run an ICC10/25 and/or weekly raid and VOA needs an average (this is based on the values I've eyeballed and averaged out for the last 2-3 weeks) of 5.7k to be even remotely accepted. It seems hypocritical that there seems to be some sort of gap that prevents progression.

All of the above reasons have actually slightly terrified me starting my own pick up raids (since I'm back at work I cannot run with my guild for a bit now), due to the unpatient and unhelpful nature of a lot of people. With 4780 gearscore on my tank spec (DK) I have tanked 9 bosses excluding Dreamwalker, Sindra and LK with my guild in ICC10 normal, and with helpful, simple, instructions from the raid we did not wipe once. (I guess having 2 good healers payed a part to this as well). 35k HP unbuffed, so it's a severe drop from the other tank who had 50k HP unbuffed, but it did the job. Yet people can't see past this.
I'm temporarily turned off from random-heroic tanking unless I'm with guild because of people flexing their e-rage skills behind a screen if I lose threat, especially in trash encounters when there's lots of mobs and people go nuts on them.
At the moment, I'm not too bothered because I've geared to what I can and the only improvement for me is VoA/ICC, so I'm working on some professions, my interests have swayed into the psychological workings of WoW players, I'm still unsure why every little thing minor thing can easily stress or rage them, it's actually very fascinating to me now.
To be honest I find the game easy/simple enough, it's just getting people to listen/work together that seems to be the roadblock.
I'm gonna go read the rest of this thread backwards now to see if anyone is experiencing the same as me![]()
You'll find plenty of post about horrible PuGs in raids or random heroics. I think it's a little skewed since people tend to notice the bad things more then the good things. This is after all a Random Complaint Thread![]()
I can't say it enough: Gearscore is a blight on the WoW community, and the author's apathy ("It's just a tool, it's not my fault if people abuse it!") is the highest form of ignorance. I hope blizzard breaks it come Cata somehow, the fact that they mocked it like they did on April 1 already shows they recognize it as an embarrassment.
Although the raiding scene wouldn't change a lot...it would just go back to requiring you to have the achievement for completing the progression content that you're trying to participate in! How's that for a catch 22 :D
As for your five man issue, realize that you have to get a grasp on what you're there for. Doing those achievements back in T7 wouldn't likely have taken any longer than doing the fight normally, due to damage output and such, but now you can burn down heroic bosses so fast that it's usually heavily extending the time you spend in the dungeon to attempt them. If you're in a random dungeon group, it's assumed that you're there for gear (via the badges or the bosses themselves); if you want achievements, make a group that has similar goals in mind. Some achievements are easy to do "on the way" but a good number of them require some extra effort, and Share the Love is definitely one of them since you cannot guarantee who will get Impaled at any given interval. It just becomes a nuisance to the people who either already have the credit or don't care about it at all.
The violent reactions certainly aren't necessary, but this is the internet; you're not really going to escape that. Gabe's greater internet dickwad theory rings true for a reason.
Nothing will change if they break gearscore, aside from it taking longer to assemble pugs. Noone seems to remember what it was like prior to gearscore. "how many epics do you have?" "What's your avarage iLV?" "what's your patchwerk dps?" etc. the latter can't be confirmed and the iLV means the same as gearscore. achievements are still being used for pug requirements just like then. nothing is different, aside from it being slightly faster to get a slight understanding of what the persons you're inviting should be capable of doing.
Then hopefully blizzard's new gear design will better facilitate it, and/or they integrate the concept somehow so that there's an official word on what kind of gear is necessary for content. Lower item level items that are vastly superior items should not prevent you from getting into groups (hi2u DMC:G and Black Heart causing your scores to plunge), and expecting pugs to be decked out in current tier gear to raid current tier content is absurd.
