I NEEDZ TEH ARMORS 4 PVP YO
ICC10 pug on my rogue. The main tank has 40k health after a slew of health buffs (priest, druid, warrior, sanct, etc), and isn't def capped. When confronted, he tries to lie about it. When busted about his lie, he says "well, def don't matter anyway!"
He died in two hits to Marrowgar, needed brezzed twice, then took two hours to get from Marrowgar to LDW, then died like four more times on LDW, and the group fell apart, lol.
If I see the tank isn't geared enough I leave.
Surprised the group lasted that long, most ICC25 pugs that pull middle group on marrow trash and wipe die there here.
Yeh how did that guy get through the checks? XD
Thanks for the Pally answers guys, I wish to ask one thing, may I start a new thread about reserving/selling loot/services? Something that's been bothering me but I wanna discuss in a new thread =p, I don't see it being discussed anywhere.
reserving is usually frowned upon since some consider it a form of ninja. Selling boosts is ok, selling loot is sorta like GDKP so nobody cares about that either.
Edit: And feel free to make posts about whatever you want lol, worst thing can happen is you get no replies![]()
It's pretty much how most pugs on my realm goes.
The horribad tank built the group. I didn't notice his gear/gearscore while he was building (though in retrospect it's even funnier because he required like a 5.5k GS for everyone else, lol), and I stayed for the lulz. It was pretty hilarious. Then my friends came in and carried me through Plague, so we didn't waste the lockout.
EDIT: I don't really care about selling services/reserving loot. I think it's kind of dick if you reserve certain objects (DV/DC in ToC25) which basically means you're saying "carry me and get nothing in return!" but at the same time - it only happens because people are willing to do it, so whatever. It's always possible to find pugs that doesn't do it. I do understand why some people absolutely hate it, but I LOL when they nerdrage over it. To each their own.
I dislike people that make raids and reserve loots or boe stuff, pretty much i blist them, although people that join those groups are the real retards.
Now selling loot (i assume a GKP) or guilds that sell achievements and titles is different and very common.
DK (Tank as Frost with 4/5 T9) and ret pala (3/5 T9 and some reaaally stupid pieces but still) died to clones in OK HC, good times. /funstory.
How are they real retards? My lock doesn't give a shit if you want to reserve an ARP trinket
I don't mind reserving loot, because most of the time it doesn't affect me either. I'd probably have more of a problem if it was something I wanted - I'd just not go on the run.
My rant of the day is being sat in work on a sunday with no mouse... Could have at least done the daily random, but no!
It really depends on realm, when I played on Firetree/Ursin reserving was like the ultimate sin. Now that I play on Arthas it is pretty much impossible to find a non reserved group. Some ICCs will run with only BOEs/Saronites reserved (Although most will have DBW reserved) but ToC25 ALWAYS has one thing reserved...usually Deaths Choice.
I'm sure you all remember that comment I made about DKs. I just want to go ahead and take that back. Did WSG on my 58 DK just to fuck around, had absolutely no idea what I was doing (just using random shit). Did about 3 BGs got over 20 kills in all of them. I know its just PVP, but jesus. The class is actually pretty fucking fun.
tbh the same can be said of any other class in WoW or most (all?) jobs in FFXI its until you reach the high end stuff where the flaws come out. Point in case, tanking adds in LK as bear I can only imagine it being a pain in the ass (Have done it only with fail pugs so we didnt last much, though not really my fault)
So I start playing WoW when WotLK comes out. I want a unique title that sets me apart from scrub casuals, but I've got years and years of catching up to do. My best friend IRL always bragged about having the Justicar title and how long it took him to get it. So I see Justicar is a requirement of Battlemaster, along with all the other BG achievements. I grind my fucking ass off to get Battlemaster. A couple months later, it gets nerfed to the fucking ground, Justicar is no longer a requirement for Battlemaster. So I set my eyes on 100,000 HKs. I grind my ass off to get 100,000 HKs. A couple months later I see this on MMO-Champion:
- 250000 Honorable Kills - Get 250000 honorable kills. Title Reward: The Bloodthirsty
Fuck you Blizz. Fuck you.
I won't do it. I won't.
As long as the game continues to expand, Blizzard will continue to dangle carrots in people's faces and reward the ones who have already gotten that far, this is no different. Get used to it.
Got to run ICC10 with some guildie alts for the first time on Friday. It was pretty fun all the way up to the Rotface fight - just doesn't seem like there is enough room to move around the way you need to without taking assloads of damage.
We did ok in there, but wiped 3x at about 25-30% and called it a night.
That room is enormous, what the heck are you doing that makes you feel like you're running out of space? >_>
slime of the floors, and staying away from the big ooze unless you're kiting a little ooze to the tank.
and yes, I'm inexperienced at that fight - just seems like there should be more room to kite around the edges I guess. Not like you can use the whole room, the slime flows are pretty enormous too.
