Been messing around with new prot pally... and I feel like I can't generate holy power well enough...
If Avenger's shield generated holy power... I would be much more comfortable generating threat.

I'm using a 3-9 rotation on prot paladin at the moment. It seem to be the most efficient way to get holy power.
Crusader strike --> Judgement --> Crusader strike --> Avenger Shield --> Crusader strike --> Shield of the righteous.
If Avenger shield is down (it's usually back up because of the talents), I will use hammer of wrath/consecration/holy wrath instead.
You will have 3 stack of HP every 9sec basically
If there is multiple target, I will usee HoTR obviously, and push judgement farther in the rotation.
[edit]
I don't mind the 3-9 rotation, but I thought blizzard wanted to make our job more complicated. The button pressing right now is easier than before.
Nah, I'm using more or less the same rotation, with some random "omfg, face roll" mistakes left over from my WotLK habits. I'm sure it's due to Wrath mechanics, but getting a Shield out so late in the rotation seems to just be a big drop in mitigation. Most of the time, things are dead after the 2nd CS/HoTR. That on top of the needed damage from Shield to keep single target threat.
Gonna be entertaining in Cata raiding. Wait for 5 sunders or wait for Shield of the Righteous, then open up!
I agree that button pressing is a bit easier now. It's just hard with the auto-queue or whatever they added.
BUT NOW WE HAVE THE OPTION TO USE HOLY WORD OR WHATEVER INSTEAD OF SHIELD OF THE RIGHTEOUS, OMFG!!! IT'S SOOO COMPLICATED!
Am I the only person who thinks Rogues aren't OP in BGs?
I started doing BGs on Subtlety at 29+ after the patch update. At first, I could understand why people thought Rogues were OP for obvious reasons.. however I also realized if I'm caught outside of Stealth, I'm fucked, period, even if I pop all my cool downs (now that I'm 62, Cloak of Shadows makes it less of a problem and I could get away easily if I'm found in a large group).
Personally I think feral druids are almost just as bad, but I can't really say considering I don't know shit about feral druids.
Only OP class now in the non-80 brackets are prot paladins on the higher end of the level ranges. Avenger's Shield shouldn't be 1 shotting people ffs.
Sub rogues at 80 can kill anything in one shadow dance, probably useless outside of that but that's why people think they are so OP. Honestly rogues have always been shitty for leveling once you run out of CDs.
I haven't played non 80 PvP since 4.0 but Prot Paladins are terrible at 80.Only OP class now in the non-80 brackets are prot paladins on the higher end of the level ranges. Avenger's Shield shouldn't be 1 shotting people ffs.
WTB a clear, definite answer about the Insane title/achievement post-Cata. :/
I had to jack my prices up on everything to get it done before Cata, "just in case."
I one-shot anything besides DKs, Pallies, and Warriors, even though I'm 62. The thing is, even when I was 60 with legacy gear in Alterac Valley, I still got my ass kicked outside of stealth. If people stick in groups, its VERY hard for a Rogue to do that much damage. Outside of stealth I get rocked; if I have Vanish + Cloak of Shadows up, I can always get away though. Its like I've told everyone who cries about Rogues being OP... know how to play your class, in BGs for PVP... if you stick in a group, a Rogue will almost always (and should be) going for the healer first.
In WSG, I always focus on healers and flag carriers. If I get bored and feel like being a bitch, I just camp their flag room. <3 WSG as a Rogue.
If you can't drop someone in your opening salvo, especially as sub and below 70, you're very likely doing it wrong.
I've got about 10 new masks this year(putting me up to 15/20), the 3% drop chance helm, the 3% drop chance sword, multiple 7% drop chance helms and 7% drop chance pets. All on one character because I'm too scared of getting the mount on an alt. Meanwhile I see people talking about getting the reins 5 times just this year. Where are my reins!?
The Horrific Helm won't drop for me
I got the sword tho, it goes nice with my Army of the Dead and Ghoul and Worms that I spawn. Sometimes I move around random heroics in a small convoy of Ghouls, Pumpkins and Worms XD
Got the reigns last year on my Hunter.
Got them again on him this year and twice on my Warrier Tank, tanking it for the wife's characters
Just missing some wand transforms for the meta on my Warrior.
She's had them twice, once on her paladin, and once on her lock - just her rogue to go
Friend of ours is still waiting to get it on his main, after being in a group, about to type what a sucky drop rate it is and only to see all the other 4 members get the reigns.
I LOL'd so hard when he told us that.
