Random Complaint Thread

It takes up to 72 hours for a trial account upgrade to be cleared. Thank the gazillions of goldspammers for that bullshit. Urk. Nothing to do but have patience, sadly - a GM ticket won't help clear it faster.

I'm leveling up mining, jewelcrafting, enchanting, and engineering on my alts in preparation for Cata. I've been really pleased so far with how much easier they made mining, until I got to Un'Goro Crater. I used to be able to do laps around the zone and find a node every few feet, but now I've made it halfway around the zone and only found 4 nodes, 3 of which were inaccessible. I do a /who and asked around, apparently I'm the only one mining, so it's not just me being unlucky with other people farming. I know there are paths up to higher areas that would let me get the nodes, but I'd have to backtrack and go all the way around once I find a node. I finally got fed up and had to come complain when I found a node just sticking from a wall right out of reach.

It's especially irritating because I need ore for jewelcrafting AND engineering, so I have to mine like 200 ore and I've managed to find 3 so far.

EDIT: It actually looks like there aren't any paths going up to the higher areas. I think Blizz in their infinite wisdom put low level ore in areas that you can't get to unless you have high level flying.

just rolled a new char after buying the $20 for all expansions deal. So far I'm lvl 28 and I'm not allowed to use the AH because it thinks I'm a trial account. So, I have crap npc bags and a crap npc sale and drops only gold balance. So, I can't even use glyphs in the slots that opened up at lvl 25.

To top all this off, I opened a GM ticket that hasn't been looked at for 2 days now...

It take 3 days to get AH access when you move to a real account. You can level above 25 and do pretty much everything other than mail/AH. It's not really a big deal, except you might miss out on a few gold (which really doesnt matter)

Not having Glyphs by 40 is a real pain, not to mention no bag space to utilize dual specs that use different gears. I've had a full bank for the last 15 levels awaiting AH use and I go out on quests/instances with maybe 6 empty slots for gear/drops.

its abselutely ridiculous how badly bear got nerfed, i think blizz might have nerfed too much. sad how bear came from superbear that take 15 stacks on voa25 ice boss easily to tank that barely keeping aggro, rage starved, and got hit for a fuckton damage.

My random complaint? How god damn many people are leveling right now. It is litteraly impossible to do quests in Durotar because there's 15+ people at every location doing the same quest. I spent 30 minutes trying to do a few quests because mobs don't spawn fast enough (escorts suck especially)

It's worse when level 80 assclowns, fully aware of the people doing the new quests, grief the shit out of low level towns, keeping turn in NPCs dead for an hour or more to get their kicks in before they can resume levelling their one and only character.

I just don't like 80s that don't loot bodies so they stick around longer, I haven't had any worse griefing than that 1-55 so far on my warrior

Edit: I didn't like that mage that seemed afk and ice lanced the rare mob I found in blasted lands, not like the gear would've been super epic for me, but seriously? There isn't even a rare mob achiev for old world stuff

If you're talking about that big dragon, you can (could?) get few hundred gold from it. I remember selling the 3 spheres for 150g each.

The plus side to this is my mage hasn't gone more than 7 minutes for a random dungeon queue.

My random complaint atm is that it took far too quickly to hit outlands, and the quests there don't flow at ALL well when compared to new 1-60 quests, so it's like hitting a mud puddle after skiing downhill, with the wind, and a rocket pack.

My problem was that by the time I was 100% done with the 'human' path (Elwynn->Westfall->Redridge->etc) I was only 58 1/2, meaning no flight training for two levels in Hellfire, which was pure agony. Meanwhile if you do Kalimdor you're pretty much guaranteed to hit 60 before outlands. This slight imbalance isn't insurmountable but it sucks that you'd have to travel from Blasted Lands -> Silithus if you chose the 'wrong' route and wanted flying the second you hit hellfire.
