Prices are fucking insane, and it doesn't help that blizzard made Engineering retardedly expensive to level. Managed to sit down and get my alchemy to 500+ for flasks and the re-useable flask even though herb prices are super inflated, but then looking at engi I would have to spent multiple thousands of gold every single level.

1 hour before jc daily resets and realm first is decided, servers go down and bliz is currently "working on it". problem is i didnt log anywhere near the daily npc

I want to play this weekend, but the with queues the way they are, I'm going to have at least an hour wait no matter what time of day I log in. how long can you go afk before it kicks you? I might log in earlier in the morn and stay logged in for most of they day if I can just sit afk for an hour or two; ;

So did Blizzard hot fix the quest achievements for Vash'jir and Deepholm? Or am I just special and got both achievements because I'm awesome.

They hotfixed it. It just randomly showed up for me yesterday, didn't see a popup or anything

why does dual wield hit cap have to be so high for DK? I am going to have to re-think my gemming-forging strategy. 2H is so much easier.

DW hitcap isn't any higher for DK than anyone else >_>

Unless you mean the practical point at which hit is no longer valuable, in which case it has to do with how many of DK's procs are from melee swings. More procs = more dps, so the extra hit is still useful well beyond the yellow cap

So Athene is first to 85. He somehow got like 15 people to spam kill mobs for him for 5 hours. He calls this a "grand achievement" "for science" and someone comments "this is incredible". Uhh...how?

I lol'd so hard when the guy is like "The research he's doing is groundbreaking!" and 5s later Athene goes "Part of why I did this was for science." ...how the fuck does grinding to 85 using a lame tactic requiring massive outside commitment at no benefit to the helpers have anything to do with science?

Of course, it took me until today to even bother to watch video/comment/look into it, so I'm not sure why I'm even commenting on it, lol.

Tank moved from shield about half the time, it was the dot from the adds that killed the group, plus demonic empowerment seemed to hurt a lot. Do the adds use those debuffs if they take too long to kill?

Fucking amazon being the slowest I've ever seen about turnaround time from street date to shipping. I preordered this shit as soon as the CE was announced and even now I only have an estimated ship date of Dec 21.

Athene holds world leveling records. He was the first to 80. He was the first to 85. He was Rank 1 in arena season 2. Athene and his close group of friends are famous and have hundreds of videos ranging from comedy to real life advice to politics and much more.

But there's always been a bigger picture. All along they've been trying to gain publicity to bring attention to more important issues. In the past it was net neutrality, more recently it's his scientific research that he hasn't fully made public yet.

What does this have to do with science? He did it to draw attention to his project. What part was so hard to understand? Is it the part in the video you just watched where he says he hasn't been playing WoW because he's been working on his scientific research project? Or the part in the very same video where he says he hopes to inspire gamers to become something more and better themselves and perhaps contribute to science in the future? Or the part from 3:13 to the end of the video that's a GIANT ADVERTISEMENT explaining the very question you came here to ask bitch about because you apparently can't comprehend simple sentences.

I haven't seen the video, but unless he goes through and demonstrates the scientific method as he goes through the race to 85, or some similar idea of applied scientific reasoning, he's not doing it for science.

Drumming up interest in science means taking a concept that is relevant to your target audience, and combining it with what you want to show them so pick up on the new idea and want to pursue it further. Uploading a wow video to youtube and then having science videos on your "more from this user" list doesn't do anything to relate the two groups and the wow audience isn't going to listen.

Regardless of how smart the guy is or what kind of intellectual material he posts, it's clear he takes a completely tongue-in-cheek approach to the "fame" he's acquired; with movie titles like "Ode to pwning" and "Best Full movie EVER: Wrath of the 1337 King (look how a pro gets hot girls)" there's not really a lot of room for other conclusions.

tl;dr- You're getting trolled if you think he's some kind of community saint.
