Why the fuck did blizzard decide to make tinkers random discoveries? I have every tank, melee, and PvP tinker but cannot get my fucking INT glove cooldown which is the primary reason for taking engineering. After pooring 25k into Engi to get it to 525 I would like to be able to use the perks for the profession but I continue to have to poor money into this shithole.

JC is the same way. The JC only trinkets are random drops off mobs, where you get a broken one and have to repair it with various materials. Well I can't get the tank one for the life of me, and to top it off until yesterday the thing was actually bugged and wouldn't drop if you were level 85. Why can't they just let us craft this shit.

Went with an 84 druid on Monday and got my str and sta ones and her 2x int, hit, and stam ones all in under 30 minutes.

There's some earth elementals on south side of deepholm that seemed to have the best rate.

my complaint is people don't understand that instances are more like vanilla wow than wotlk wow. ie. stop aoeing the crap out of everything because a. they will still die slowly b. the tank won't be able to keep hate and the mob will rape the crap out of you c. the healer will have a hard time (almost impossible for certain ones) keeping cures up one everyone.

This is pre 85 btw as I'm still only 83. I did a 5man last night as sp and spent a good 80% of the time helping the holy palli cure everyone because of an idiot hunter and druid.

Yeah I can tell a big difference in healing difficulty when stuff is ccd and focused down, instead of aoe. But sheesh, some of those bosses I'm running out of mana a little more than halfway through the fight (the last boss in the Lost City instance particularly comes to mind)

I actually survived solo against the last boss in Lost City for a good 2 minutes or so on my prot paladin running seal of insight and using WoG on myself. Just need to be smart and avoid clouds and you're ok, kill adds really fast and everything.

My issue is that even on trash packs that I CAN aoe tank just fine (like Lost City) there are DPS that will AOE the packs down and THAT isn't viable. Even if the tank can survive against 3-4 mobs, it's still a big drain to healer mana, focus down anything marked.

More engineering... well, it's not really a nerf. Just making it less and less attractive as a profession. The new malfunctions are just awful. Makes me sad.

This. I am going to start vote kicking like a motherfucker once I start dungeoning. You will get one warning along the lines of "you aggro it, you tank it" and then a second reminder of why aoe is bad; if you keep that shit up, das boot.

edit: also I thought I was rich when I finished questing and then it dawned on me how expensive professions are. Spent 3k so far and I dont think I want to get past 505 alchemy with how crazy expensive volatile life are right now..

I don't know why blizzard is fucking with engineering so much. Belt tinkers are basically worthless now that they have harmful malfunctions and malfunction more. Hand tinkers take RNG to learn (Poored about 2k into Synapse Springs so far after hitting 525 Engi and no dice). Smooth Cogwheel is STILL not fixed. The fact you need to be a gatherer to get Volatiles instead of clouds like other expansions. Shit man what happened to my favorite profession.

yeah that's actually what happened we had a druid first who kept fighting off targets then saying "the tank and healer suck replace them!" so we kicked him halfway through. Then the hunter kept aoe the shit out of everything and we kept yelling at him but felt we were far enough in to just get it over with.

I think we're going to try and be more picky on kicking people because this is just getting ridiculous.

gets even worse that Blizz didn't carry over the same mentality as wrath orbs. why the fuck can you roll need on them anyways, it should be greed onry..

And some ppl are ignorant and don't realize that AoEing mobs down that have 300k+ HP doesn't do shit. AoE is only worthwhile when bosses have non elites adds

I'm a dk which is supposedly the worst tank atm, and I have very little issues with aoe.

Threat is definitely not one of them, and having most tank cd's on 1 min timers solves most other issues. CC'ing only on certain pulls in heroics these days.

That only solves half the problem, since a skinner would still roll against someone who can use it to synth something.

They should have made them like the alchemist's cache in Uldum, requiring one of a certain profession AT A CERTAIN SKILL LEVEL. The paucity of Chaos orbs is putting a real crush on high-level synths right now, and folks rolling to vendor them is making it needlessly worse.

The worst part is how many orbs it takes to make certain items. I had no trouble getting 1 orb for my goggles but then I look at something like Elementium Spellblade which is the best heroic level caster dagger but still costs 3 orbs which is just crazy.
