Honestly half the time pugs are easier just because asking for dps in guild brings out 14 dps wars and a feral.

I don't think it's really that it's extremely hard. It's more frustrating. When you are dps, you spend 45+ minutes in a queue and then after a couple wipes on the first boss, the tank and/or healer leaves. Then you get to spend more time in a queue!
This touches on actually my biggest gripe to the "healer nerf". I actually like that they made it a little more difficult for healers since we had it easy mode. However I think they overdid it to the point I'm seeing too many people not playing their healing specs/classes anymore. Healers seem to always be an issue in a lot of mmos (getting enough people to play them that is), so I always felt that companies need to make sure they don't make the classes too unappealing or it fucks everyone over. You want people to like healing not dread it, and I think blizz missed the mark this time.
Most healers in my guild actually like what blizz done with the gameplay, prolly b/c they were around during BC and felt nostalgic about it. Me personally, as DPS starting mid woltk naxx, dont really like how long heroic dungeon take to finish.
My fear for wow is that it becomes like FFXI by means of "only range dps for this kind of thing"(being instances and/or raids now that every other gd thing will take 3/4 a life bar if it turns toward a melee along with all the aoe ground effects).I always felt that companies need to make sure they don't make the classes too unappealing or it fucks everyone over
Also wtf was blizz thinking by tossing in massive aoe damage/binds that require a perfectly timed jump to avoid at the same time as a healer nerf??? "having trouble healing? well target the enemy instead of your tank so you can see 1 second cast attacks that require you to jump!"
The other part of this, is that sh*t tanks still blame the healer, dps die while full spam and cd heals go to tank to keep his health even at best. Who does the entire pt blame? I just queue as dps now and I have seen several kick votes for the healer with the reason "runs out of mp too fast"...
Frost Mages can fuck. off.
11-17k crits from range every GCD? yeah that's balanced.
Ya it's crazy, I mean before I used to full-time healer (holy/disc), now I half and half because there are times where I just don't want to deal with it. And I see a lot being the same. Not everyone is like that, but as I said it makes the amount of people willing to heal even less which is a bad thing for everyone.
I know what you mean too on the healer issue. I got yelled at by a tank the other day for running out of mana even though he pulled the boss when I was only at 80% mp![]()
I havn't been kicked from any groups yet on my resto druid but today I did a random where the tank pulled a buncha shit.... that he couldn't freaking handle... dies and everyone looks at me like I did something wrong. We ran back... same thing happened and all eyes on me. I just left at that point because I wasn't gunna deal with that shit.
I have had some good groups though... where healing is pretty fun. and I'm still getting the hang of everything a little bit. I know when shit starts to get messy I choke up a little and fumble with my buttons and junk. The pressure in OHSHI- situations is much more intense then BC or wotlk healing so I don't really like that :X
usually in those moments my mind goes blank and I'm like "rejuv EVERYONE! lifebloom on ALLLLLLL!!" and then I'm /oom in 3 seconds.
To the fools that leave after a single death in a heroic:
As before stated, you are fools. This isn't wrath heroics, you're not going to faceroll every boss and finish in 30 minutes.
Maybe in a few months when people are in raid epics.
It's so fucking annoying I'm about to pay to transfer with some competent friends that I know. I've had literally 8 straight groups that basically 1 wipe because someone or everyone is retarded and then a tank or healer leaves and so follows everyone else. Que 40 minutes for this bull shit, its getting fucking old fast.
Best I've seen so far is getting yelled at by the dps shaman for "not healing myself with flash of light" when we almost duoed the dragon in stonecore from 30% 0% (wiped at 60k hp). Three guys failled hardcore at simple mechanics, but it's my fault for not using a skill that cost 33% of my mana pool (a number that is impossible to have when you are not blocking, or getting healed) to keep myself up.
It was the only time I bailled out of a party.
Not to mention casting anything that isn't instant while tanking = you may as well turn your back to the mobs
Plenty of time during the slabhide fight to cast heals as a tank, if you have the mana.
"Think about what heal to press" isn't exactly the case, not in dungeons anyway. For druid, it's just put up 3 LBs and spam nourish over and over again, rejuv->swiftmend every time its available, press WG on cooldown if >2 people have health deficit, use HT when clearcast procs. Only very rarely is this not the best way to heal in dungeons. (Well, except for TREE MODE where you spam LB and spend every CC on regrowth while reveling as a retarded TREE). At least this tier, you will never ever have the mana to cast your inefficient/fast heal at all, and 3 LB + nourish spam on the tank is sufficient for 99% of pulls. Any pull where it isn't sufficient, blame the group for not using CC properly.
I like what they've done with healing, but they really have made it so the health of the party is mostly out of your control. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people don't want to heal anymore; it comes with a great sense of helplessness until you learn that dps is expendable.
