I know I'm not in the majority, but I liked the game a lot more before the LFG tool.
There's obviously no nostalgia blast to thinking back before dual spec; that's a godsend with no negative aspects.
I liked running instances (does not apply to the hellhole that LFG in WoTLK pre-tool was) with mostly the same people occasionally.
Old group outdoor stuff like Jintha'Alor in vanilla back when it was elite was really cool too. The community was stronger.
Gonna have to agree with the community thing.. even though I only played for a small time before the LFG tool was put in, I barely know anyone on my server outside of my guild.
What's funny is when we first got 85 I'd get a dps war and be like ugh this is gonna suck, due to lack of cc. Now I'm in full blues with like 1 epic and we're running shit like feral + war + dk as our dps and getting ridiculously fast boss kills and rampaging through trash with no cc lol.
The issue is that for every awesome memory you have about things like that there are 10x people who couldn't find anyone to group with to complete such things so they never got to experience that.
For my complaint: Tol Barad quest tracker wasn't updating for the "neutral" quests which are there daily. So I slacked off on doing that so that the "inside" quests would get me the achievement and rep/tokens to get the trinket. Then I go and complete a couple easy quests (kill one mob) and I get the achievement when I was like 30/100. So I could've been exalted by now and had the tank trinket already =/
It's true, I don't know many healers willing to waste their time to get exalted for some mount, you got me. As far as dual specing for PvE, I can guarantee you doing that will net you a larger DPS increase than upgrading a trinket even if its a green to an epic. And everyone saying its not hard killing shit as Fire has never tried it.You must not know many healers, not everyone does those dailies for the PvE trinket. If it's really that big of a deal, wait until a game ends and join a group, or invite the random people killing the shit you need as you pass by. Or simply offspec frost (AoE/single target fire specs, lol).
We know that PVE dual speccing is good for PVE, the point is; when you didn't have dual spec, and your raid spec was shitty for anything outside of raids - what did you have to do? The same exact thing you have to do now.
Except I could solo completely fine as Fire before 85 because it wasn't a crit based DoT spec.We know that PVE dual speccing is good for PVE, the point is; when you didn't have dual spec, and your raid spec was shitty for anything outside of raids - what did you have to do? The same exact thing you have to do now.
So respec.
This is pretty fucking awesome...http://www.wowhead.com/item=62472
But ya healers must be doing it for the mount..../sarcasm
With how consistently low your dps was, it's surprising that you tailored two specs to perform optimally, especially to the extent that you're unwilling to respec and do dailies for a week to get gear upgrades.
Eh, that trinket is pretty bad. Still, it's totally worth doing Baradin now because there's a pretty damn good chance they'll keep adding stuff to the faction as WoW 4.x progresses.
But yea, no healers did hodir dailies back in the day. Who needs those top-end shoulder enchants anyway?
Book of Glyph Mastery...
edit: Also Lila and her fucking Nightstones
The difference is my gear was trash and I was just raiding to get Bauble for arena, whereas you were the laughing stock of the guild because you could never get out of fire and your dps was trash even though you were decked in 277 gear.
It's okay though, keep taking 25 man trinkets and gquitting the same night because you're too good for the people that carried you and then cry about how you can't solo daily mobs.
The amount of false statements in this post is staggering. First of all I had 4 pieces of 277 gear, 3 of which where spirit. Your gear was probably on par with me, even some of your PvP gear was better than mine. Oh and I got Phylactery what 2 weeks before I left? In fact I had the 3rd highest DKP in the guild at the time I quit so I had obviously earned one trinket where as you where brand new and didn't have shit but continue to be butt hurt over not getting a trinket that you "Don't want because you where just raiding for Bauble". I could have taken all 277 Tier and HDFO before I quit considering how much DKP I had and you wouldn't have been able to roll on shit but I didn't care about that.
Now this is interesting. /popcorn
And mods, DONT YOU DARE TOUCH THE REMOTE
Congratulations, you hung around after you got your first trinket just long enough so you could get your second trinket, what an act of charity. What am I "butt hurt" about? I don't give a shit about PVE gear, especially not for shadow. I raid for a few weeks every raid tier, faceroll the content and get bored with it because it's so shit easy. If you think you're good because you can run scripted events over and over week after week (you obviously couldn't), then that's your opinion. I just think it's funny seeing you post here giving advice and bragging about how hard you try with your dual single spec so you can optimize aoe dps when you can't even man up and do your dailies and you were pretty much the worst player I've ever raided with.
I didn't get a second trinket, you should probably learn to read. If I wanted to rip the guild off I would have, but I obviously didn't. You have brought up losing a PvE shadow trinket about 10 times on this forum now, then bring up "OH MAN I DON'T CARE BOUT PVE THAT SHIT IS CHILDS PLAY", it's hilariously funny and classic krye. I love how I'm bragging about using two specs, oh wait when did I do that? Seriously I thought you quit this game because PvP is to hard for you now, or did you transfer servers again to find someone to carry you to glad...again?Congratulations, you hung around after you got your first trinket just long enough so you could get your second trinket, what an act of charity.
