Yeah it was pretty amazing fight. The disparity between 10 and 25 though, even if you look at it as simply as getting 25 people capable of doing it and on their game, is just nuts.
But even the simple fact that you're in the same size room with the same amount of shit going on but filled in with 15 more people made a huge difference.
Same deal with Lich King as well.
Both fights in blood quarter in ICC suffered from that as well, the sheer body count in such a heavily limited space made proximity effects that much harder to deal with.
Honestly, it wasn't the stuff in the room that made firefighter difficult. It was the extremely tight enrage timer plus the insane damage of his abilities at the time. And then phase 3 taking forever and ever and ever unless you had a group that was ranged stacked.
Fuck up a mine? Player dies, impossible to make enrage.
Touch the fire for more than one tick? Player dies, impossible to make enrage.
Spread napalm? Player dies, impossible to make enrage.
Miss a water bomb? Player dies, impossible to make enrage.
Fire in melee while he casts P3Wx2? Melee can't dps, impossible to make enrage.
Miss a mine throw in p3? No double damage bonus for 10 seconds, impossible to make enrage.
Pull him down into the fire in p3? No double damage bonus for the melee, impossible to make enrage.
Our 10 man group took him to the enrage timer many times before everything finally clicked and we got a kill with like 5-10 seconds to spare.
The same was true about HLK, honestly. In the end it wasn't positional problems that caused us to fail, but rather dps requirements. We just couldn't find 25 people that measured up to the challenge; we always had 5-8 shitbags pulling shit numbers.
I wouldn't know, my guild was full of equal parts failures and flakes who wouldn't commit :D
this was actually something that was mentioned at blizzcon and they said it was something they were trying to figure out how they want to do it. I think they want to make it so you can link ach that you have on other characters or something. Like think of trying to pug icc on your alt and it didn't have the achievements so people don't believe you did it. I don't know if it would add all your points together though or what. I can imagine that's why they said they're still figuring it out.
Blood Princes on H25 was honestly the most stressful fight for me. Bitchy ass healers complaining that it's not their responsibility to move away from people during empowered shock vortex "because they're healers" while having to try to dodge other people to run to a falling kinetic bomb had me pulling my fucking hair out every fight.
Some dickhead hunter actually cussed me out on vent once because I ran next to him during an empowered shock vortex because I was running to a kinetic bomb he refused to shoot at. I was pissed.
Heroic BP was trivial on both 10 and 25. If I recall, it had no real enrage, so it didn't matter if you lost half your dps. So as long as you didn't let the balls touch you were fine.
Fucking casualcraft blizzard ninjafixing less trash in heroics, niggers will still fail at boss and I still will have to wait 40+ minutes for a fucking fail tank that will still pull without CC, aggro the fucking monkeys and get raped like a fucking moron.
Which instances lost trash? Please say Stonecore/Tol'vir :D
Complaint. Lightwell is still a fucking stupid spell that's always on the other side of a CC'd mob, or the giant fucking boss meaning I still have to run/spin my camera around for my mouse cursor to be in the exact right spot to click it. Which means I'll miss an interrupt, or my camera won't be showing me where the fire is. Shit needs to be giant, clickable through pillars and in general much much easier to actually click on.
Deadmines for sure and grim batol trash died too easy or i had pro dragon riders (unlikely)
Out of all the hunters I've seen in heroics, not one of them has switched pets (hayo 5 pet slots) to bring a buff/debuff the group didn't have, or even a stun/interrupt/anything. And none of the pets have been ~85, so it's not like they're leveling them. At least when you see a hunter using a fox (which is like 90% of them) in any circumstance, you know how retarded they are in advance.
I'm surprised at that as well, when I saw how many different pets now, I got excited and went out and tamed every single one I needed. Got them all sitting in waiting on my call pet list now.. I find it fun theres so much diversity in needed pets now instead of wolves for everything.
Deadmines & SFK have a ton of trash. It's not even hard, just makes the instances take longer. While Grim Batol has a lot of trash, if ppl know know how to drake then the trash, outside of a few packs, takes seconds to mow down so it's not that bad
I love when people get on drakes and attack primarily mob packs you can skip.
"But we can kill them easily now for rep"
