I managed to get conqueror this past weekend, my priest was made in '06. It takes around 400 wins counting the win bonus (25 honor?) to get to exalted. Happy trails!
Hate RNG on yogg 10 fucking us over at random times...healer designated for portals gets squeezed, Black Plague spam, etc
We were finally consistently getting it to phase 3 after about 10 tries and then couldn't get our act together on the immortal guardians; raid leader insisted melee dps on yogg, ranged (all two of them) on guardians ><
I think they're going to try the opposite tonight but I won't be there, blah.
Yogg10 just have everyone on guardians then switch to yogg. They go down in 5secs~ and they don't spawn fast.
Yeah, I think that's what they're planning to do. They finally got to noticing that it wasn't a race against yogg, since he wasn't doling out much (any?) damage, but a race against the guardians so they don't wtfpwn the tank.
Melee on Yogg is just silly since they have to turn, most caster classes can lay DoTs and channels on Yogg while turned around. Melee can just DPS guardians with their back to Yogg the whole time.
Doing Ulduar and server crashed. Same time as last week. wooooooo

my guild failed on hodir for 2 hours tonight because healers were dying to ceiling... (and mt was dying because of it)... /facepalm

Yeah we do, but... apparently some people fail at shooting people at a giant FL and alot other fail...
I've watched a shaman go flying over FL, and over the beam/wall thing blocking the way to the entrance and die, and that wasn't from a distance it was probably 30-40y from FL (most everyone that drives a demo apparently needs to drive within 30y or even ontop of FL to "hit it"...)
lol, my guild hasn't ever tried 1+ towers up on FL in 10 or 25 man, we've done the other hard modes on the basis that "FL will always be quicker and easier to get to". We never bother throwing anyone up on normal mode, just nuke it down, and I imagine its gonna take us a while to get used to when we finally do get round to doing it with towers up.
Doing it with Thorim's tower up is still damnedably easy, he just has a little more hp and you have to not stand in the obvious giant pillars of light zomg. Probably a good idea to get into practice with the throwing since it does mean you can down him faster with the 50% damage boost during the overload.
Interesting idea I learned for throwing and picking people up too- the people to be thrown should bring out a vanity pet. Put a marker on the pet; it will follow around on the ground, and when the people are thrown up it will move along with FL. When the DPS get tossed off, they land exactly where the pet is at. Really easy for bikes to find them.
They supposedly do, as we mention before starting the fight to have it turned on.
I was watching a resto druid beside me sitting on the edge the circle, he runs forward.. gets tossed back from it falling... and I step up and wave at hima s he gets frozen >.>
he soorta died from that because I was the only one shooting at his iceblock and his 50% hp didn't last too long in a block of ice since he apparently didn't think to heal himself either after being hit by the ceiling...
and speaking of FL beams..., I was a gunner on a demo last night. Watched my driver run INTO the hodir beams and get frozen (I presume the gunner cna't breakout the driver or it was some form of bug unsure I tried shooting at the ice for a bit), watched other people sit in the hodir beam get frozen. Did /say /yell for my driver at least to move when a beams on him.
After about 4 attempts (with the same driver) he finally learned to move when a blue beam is on him so he won't get ice tombed (if I /say) something anyway... >.>
I've seen slow learners but.. dam...
2 demos, 2 choppers (with passengers from the start), and one siege engine.
Demos immediately launch their gunners up at the start, and chopper passengers load into the gunner seat. FL is quickly overloaded, the passengers are scooped up by the choppers, and you repeat.
FL spent most of the time overloaded when we did it (sloppily) this way last night and once we finally nailed the passenger rotations it was a joke--died the first attempt thereafter. The overloads aren't really needed to help demos escape; it just means that they have more time to keep 10-stacks of Pyrite rolling.

Our 4T-10 strategy involves all vehicles, but we only launch one person up top (usually me as Moonkin) so overloads are slower but we can always interrupt flame vents.

This so much we have the same problem, im pretty sure we could run with 2 healers for most of 10man but we have only one healer who is actually aware of the big glowing things of death while the other two preists well le sigh. Although we finally did manage to down yogg this week but everything from keepers onwards feels like such battle due to those two.
this soorta gives you how bad some the people in my raid are... maybe. beat freya 'normal mode" (no guardians) with about 35 seconds till enrage with about 16-17 alive still.

the hunter below me has pretty much same gear, has sirens bow (I have KT gun) lived to the end... but he uses...
