The main source of guild rep once you are 85 and raiding is....

daily quests.

I just barely capped this week because I don't typically do daily quests once I am rep-capped. Ended up capping on my 25th daily tonight, and there's not a single non-daily quest I haven't done in Cata.

What really sucks is you can't even go back and do normal quests for it... I literally did 100+ quests in Hyjal last week, and still had to do like 15-20 dailies to cap out guild rep.

Although, heroic bosses in guild groups do give nice rep.

I don't understand the hullabaloo about guild rep, since Honored is a joke to reach even in a 10-man guild, and exalted rewards don't unlock until your guild is level 25, which is months away for every guild.

Take away the need to honor grind before being able to be competitive in arena. BGs are a joke, which is why people want to arena, don't force them into BGs. Problem solved

This is what crafted resilience gear is supposed to be used for. Perhaps they should make it closer to the honor gear (give it the set bonuses), but it's already 339 vs 352, so pretty close.

BGs are a joke because they're filled with people who enjoy their bots farming them honor while they sleep.

Some of us actually enjoy BGs. I have no real solution, honestly, though, you're forced to grind your way up to raid ready, you should have to grind your way to arena ready. People can't afk their way through heroics but yet they can afk their way through BGs.

Perhaps just stop giving any honor at all to people who do no damage or healing throughout an entire BG.

This is an MMO; if you want to play a pvp experience that isn't tainted by grinding for gear progression for slight advantage, this game is not for you.

I definitely see both sides here. Grinding BG's sucks. I did it for my whole set before the free TB honor handout, so I felt a little jilted. But at the same time, I couldn't help but to laugh at people that suggested it "tainted" the arena system... because if you think putting everyone on equal ground basically right out of the gate is a bad thing, you're not in pvp for the right reasons.

The fact of the matter is that if you like pvp, it shouldn't be a problem to go participate in it. If random bg's are too frustrating for you, you can do rated now.

The problem is when it becomes a matter of staring at your honor tab and just sleepwalking til it reaches a certain point. Having to do it over and over and over and over again changes the whole experience from having fun pvping and grabbing stuff when you get some honor to mindless grinding.

With the new system, that's not going to be the case. Next season's honor gear is the epic gear you have from this season. As it stands, the only time you'll have to do an honor grind is at the beginning of an expansion, and guess what... That's not a bad thing. To perform you need to learn an entire new balance with each expansion, and the honor grind is pretty much just long enough to get into good form for rbg/arena.


In short, there's not even any reason at this point that makes you go "well I understand bots even if I don't approve." It's just flat out lazy and douchey.

I've had this happen 3 times in the last week, all different tanks and the damn game gives me anywhere from 5-40 minutes before i can kick him.

Plate wearers have been doing this for weeks now. Queue as tank, pop queue, afk while people ragequit, requeue as dps with remaining group and wait for actual tank to pop at the front of the queue. It's a way to game the heroic queue to your own benefit, but only if you have a class with a tank spec, and it's definitely faster than the 45-50 minute dps solo queues. Dungeon Finder doesn't look in your bags for tanking gear or your talent trees for a tanking spec.

The phoenix doesn't even require heroic achieves, just normal. Which is why it's so retarded that it requires exalted, tons of people would already have it by now otherwise.

Also the guild herald requires exalted, both of the pets, not sure what all else.
