They're already buffing the damage next patch as well as making it so you can use it on allies, aren't they?

I really hope the SV hunter nerf isn't as bad as some people are saying.
I just got down w/ a 10man BH. No bloodlust was used during the fight, but the fight stats were like this.
Thururur ~17.1k dps
Frost DK ~11.1k
Lock ~10.8k
Boomkin ~10.4k
That's quite a bad raid you have there lol.
Your 17k will become like 14k. MM will do like 12k and BM will do like 13.5kthough I havent seen the latest of the latest patch notes.
MM is actually gonna pull ahead of SV if the patch gonna be like it is now on PTR
So they take away shifting root removal from druids.. give it back to moonkin and resto... and leave the melee spec alone. In translation: Resto could alrdy remove roots w/ dispel, moonkin is a caster, and the melee spec now can not reach the target, can not remove fears w/ berzerk, and has had their bleed dmg reduced in addition to making it harder to get to ppl to mangle / shred.
Wow... just wow blizzard
I still see Surv being top, the nerfs really don't seem that bad from reading them. I haven't played at all on the PTR though so I can't say how that translates into real mechanics.
I also just have a general dislike for MM, not as fun w/ the whole Aimed shot proc thing.
I swear every time I get stonecore, it's a retard group. First half till ozruk the two mages were 6 and 7k dps till that point, i was 11k. They left after two wipes, got a boomkin and ret pld that barely broke 5k and the boomkin ninja'd the tank trinket and healing offhand and left. I really wanted to cry.
It's ass because there's a lot of trash that require awareness, killing the earthshapers fast and avoiding damage from earthquake, and the bosses all have shit that each party member has to pay attention to. It's a perfect storm of mechanics that wipe out 99% of PUGs.
13000 hp self heal you can cast 4x before going oom, a broken hitbox meaning you have to be inside your target to hit them (find me another melee that can use their backstab and get parried at the same time), long setup time on a target. So we have stealth with 1 good opener, and 0 escape mechanisms after they take away our root breaking. Can't break/immune fear anymore leaving feral completely vulnerable to CC aside from a trinket. Not only that, scare beast and hibernate work too.
What Slott said, cat's have never been a serious threat in pvp. There are some really good cat pvp'rs just like any other class.. and they can kill w/e they like.. Now lets also throw in that most ppl don't know how to pvp effectively so they whine and complain when they get beat saying a class is OP. A good frost mage has always (for the most part) been able to kill an equally skilled cat druid.
The class as a whole has been designed around shifting out of roots/snares since vanilla.. thats why the class has no escape maneuvers, no other ability to counter roots/snares, ect... And don't give me that "ohh cat's can move faster then other class" crap because its never been a deal breaker before and isn't now. And lets not forget a cat needs to spec into that to move faster, just like pally's need to spec into their +movement speed and shaman's need to spec into their instant ghost wolf, ect...
And saying a cat can pounce / charge, ect... every melee class can.. its not cat specific. and snare... you mean the 4-6 sec snare we have when we pounce somebody that's on a 30 sec CD (28 if you glyph it)... or the mangle snare we have to spec into? Cat has 0 escape moves outside of dash, w/ any good pvp'r can stop anyways w/ a root (before the upcoming nerf) or a snare anyways. yes, we can shift. but thats 2 GCD's which is about 2.5 seconds to recover...and that leaves us open to get beat up on during that time and easily snared / rooted again. shifting has never been an issue and any good pvp'r has been able to counter it.
And ppl bitching about cat being able to heal. Our heal's are not even as effective as a ret/prot pally and they take way longer to cast (2.5 sec for like 13k hp and costs 30% of our mana).. and if a pvp'r can't counter a druid healing themselves then they are terribad to begin w/ since feral healing is pathetic even in a PvE situation. And to ppl complaining about a druid stealthing and healing.. I wasn't aware a druid could stealth in combat so they have to be pretty horrible to let a druid get far enough away, spend 20 seconds healing themselves, and then letting the druid travel back to them
doing arenas with pally and mage. We get a druid/ rogue duo. Kill the druid fast then the rogue has just stayed in stealth the whole time.
If timer runs out is it considered a tie or do we win because we killed one?
Pretty retarded if you ask me.
So called 'raiders' that dont even bring food, much less flasks; which granted after doing a couple fights the content is not that challenging, but those same 'raiders' also fail at moving from fire and stuffLike... some effort please :/
It's silly that people don't bring the basic like 2 things they need to for raids now, makes me laugh remembering how back in the day I would bring 80+ potions to a raid (3 types for different uses), weightstones, drums, food, flasks, dark runes, and then all the silly reagents we used back then.
is there any reason why alliance is so bad at pvp? i've been horde only til now.
Fuck.
Fixed that for you. Saying a good player of the most overpowered dueling class can beat you doesn't hold a lot of weight.A good frost mage has always (for the most part) been able to kill an equally skilled ANYTHING.
I really don't see it being that hard to re-stealth on occasion in PvP. Maim, run away, that guy is going at -50% speed, you are going at 130% speed (you can still shift out of snares). Run around and LOS, you're out of combat.
I love all the comments about having to "spec into that" and such, it's pretty damn clear you're going to spec into that stuff. It's also very easy, Your first two talent points are going to be run speed as feral. Know when I get my run speed as prot? 81+. How about elemental shamans? 81+. We MUST go 5 points into a certain tree and then another 2 to get our run speed, which is half as good as yours. I can't even look at the holy tree as prot for PvP, I HAVE to go get that run speed.
And for the QQ about casting times. You get an instant spell while you're killing something. You need some extra heals? Maim, instant healing touch/regrowth/whatever and shift back into cat form.
Have you not mentioned that you also get an option to switch into Bear form for massive armor and 12% DR (if spec'd!) that a number of other classes don't get to do? And how about spec'ing into getting 6% less spell damage taken at all times. And 20% extra healing received as a cat. I think only ass rogues get as much +healing as that.
Prot paladins have no charge. DK's have death grip on what, a 35s cooldown? And your charge is a 15s? Or is cat the 30s one?
The only ret/prot heal you'll ever really see us using is WoG, which is instant, but costs our biggest damage move to cast and cannot be cast more often than every 7.5s. My biggest heal otherwise is 14k health and costs 30% of my mana too with a 3s cast time, and is going UP in cost next patch! You at least get to use that spell instantly when you use a finishing move. And I need to continue to use mana as my resource, so if I cast 3 heals in a row, I'm oom and fucked for a while until I can get my mana back (which comes back at a rate of 30% every 8s when I use judgement)
And I haven't tried ret in PvP, but looking at it...it looks like it may not work too well if you're already snared. You get +45% movement speed when you judge a target at a distance. But if you're at -70% (rogue and frost mage chill I'd bet) +45% isn't even going to get you back to 100% movement speed. So it's a gimp charge. And aren't Rogues PvPing as Ass still? Meaning they have no charge. So not everyone has a charge these days.
The real truth is your class was designed around the fact that it did LESS DAMAGE THAN EVERYONE ELSE. So it could be immune to polymorph/roots/snares, because your advantage was you had more uptime on the target in PvP than others. Not that that actually meant you were good at PvP before. But now you do as much damage as everyone else. So realizing that a class that has nearly everything with immunity to near everything that ISN'T a frost mage is unfair isn't really a big shock. Your only real gripe should be that frost mages still exist because they're allowed to do everything and you're not.
