It's entirely possible. But it was also pretty clear to us that we weren't going to put forth the work in WoW, everyone is just sick of the game. Even though I wish I had an active sub to be playing alts while I wait for Rift to come out, lol.
I'd offer you a spot in my guild but the leader has been extremely slow about getting it started. Basically, we broke off from our old guild because the GM was a total bitch and because she refused to put together a raid group after some of the core members quit ...
So we broke off, I've brought all my alts over and I've been trying to level the guild and recruit. I've recruited a few new people, most of whom are just alts of people on other realms and rarely play, so our guild of about 30ish members is almost always empty save for me at any given time. And I'm told to recruit more people ... well, I feel kind of dumb recruiting even newbs to a level 1 guild that has no one in it except for me most of the time. "Hey, wanna join my empty guild?" :/ The goal was to invite 300 bazillion people and get the guild leveled then kick the tools when we get some levels ... good in theory, not working out in practice.
Meanwhile, the leader has been leveling his DK lately, but he won't do it in our guild ... he's back in the original guild because it has perks so he can level faster. Great example you're setting there, and also thanks so much for the help in trying to level this guild. The guild is at about 9% of the way through level 1, and this is almost solely on my efforts playing a few hours after work every night.
I don't really care that much about raiding - it's something I'd enjoy doing if I got the opportunity, but for god's sake, I'm basically playing an MMO alone at this point, and no one wants to join a guild with no perks and no people. All these people he said he'd bring over - old friends or people who used to be in the old guild but decided to quit instead - yeah, that hasn't happened. He apparently put a lot more faith in people to follow him. Most of the others who left that old guild because of the bitchy GM just joined other guilds. This guy is my friend and a good Pally but I'm starting to doubt whether it's worth it anymore.
I still have no desire to go back to the old guild, either, but I'm honestly not sure what to do at this point, might end up just ditching my friend because he's basically not interested/capable of getting this guild going. Which does suck because of all the work I've put into leveling it because I thought we were going to be at least somewhat successful in organizing a good ten-man group. Yeah, apparently not. I'll give him another few weeks to get it going, maybe after he finishes his damn DK he'll care about his guild again, if not by then, fuck it.
So yeah. Long story short, I can't offer you a guild Ceph, and not just because you're a Yankees fan.
I mean, it seemed only logical that having 10 and 25s drop the same ilevel loot would make more 10man guilds pop up and create a bigger need for tanks, but it seems like that hasn't happened. It also doesn't help that every guild seems to either be stuck on Council or clearing the majority of hardmodes, nor that most pugs can't even down Halfus or Magmaw. Not complaining about difficulty but it certainly wouldn't have hurt to have a Marrowgar-style intro boss to at least get the raid going so people don't drop group after 1 wipe.
My guild is at 10/12 in 25, 11/12 in 10 because of our raiding woesI've been pushing hard to do nef tonight after we've had 4 weeks with only 1 night of actual attempts.
I'm quite good at resto, average-to-good as moonkin (my dps tends to be average, but I rarely do retarded shit--basically I raid with a healer mindset). I haven't decided for sure to bail yet, just preparing in case our raiding woes continue. I have a 2 week vacation starting this weekend, so I figure things will sort themselves out for the better or for the worse by the time I'm back and then I can make a decision.
Back in t8 when we had a really dedicated 10 man core, we were at the peak of progression (Algalon in 3.1 with only 2 or 3 pieces of 239 gear, 3.1, Firefighter pre-nerf, server 2nd 10-man drakes etc) but most of those people have quit. In fact I think only 2 of us are left from that permagroup.
What's your guild? I'll scout you guys out to make sure that if the time comes I am prepared.

Slott's MSpaint drawings should really tell you all you need to know
My guild is looking for resto druid atm, 25 man alliance 11/12 normal, last one being al akir, which we got on 10 man.

I did actually see your guild site, but any guild which has the application format / loot distribution policies behind a registration wall tend to skip over.
Also this:welp....Keep in mind we do not want cocky or know it alls here
Not actually going to app anywhere until at least 2 weeks from now when I'm back from my vacation, so I'll see what actual spots still exist then.
While learning fights, there are some fights that I thought were/are tuned way to strictly. Nothing like learning Council and wiping to Captain Planet at 1-2% over and over again as ppl play around w/ positioning to help squeeze out that tiny bit of extra dps from melee and ranged. Or there is Chogall... after learning p1 and p2 mechanics down perfectly you can still hit that 10min enrage timer (normal mode) that wipes you because you weren't killing eyes fast enough.. even though nobody was close to 100% corruption.
Of course.. after we killed those bosses once they then instantly went on farm as we one shot them every week now. But it was frusterating having everyone know the mechanics, play their part perfectly.. and then wiping to bosses at 1-2% because of punishing enrage timers.
That sounds like they did really well with raids if it's a struggle to complete them, but then don't keep fucking with you once you've beaten them.
Aurik - www.atakama.net The members that respond to apps tend to be dicks and do it for pleasure, the majority of the guild isn't that way. That being said, please make sure you're fully enchanted, glyphed, and have the proper talents. Anyway, best of luck no matter what.
After saving herbs for this patch, spawn rates are broken in places like uldam that let you compete against 30 other farmers and still get 20+ stacks in 45 mins plus all that volatile life just as those trinkets are eating up 50/pop...
Anyone else annoyed that the valentines boxes aren't dropping anything besides justice points?...you'd think there'd be more chance at the rocket or the pet -_-
Wiped one hour on chimeron, then beat it without a single death....
I went 1/1 on pet on paladin ^^
1hr on chim is like what? 5 attempts? unless you're fast to walk/buff/set
We pulled 3 times before activating the robot (and yes, we knew about it, just random fuck up), then wiped maybe ~6 times.
No nef kill last night, my guild is full of dumb people. 11 tries in we realized that one of the death knights just was completely incapable of jumping on the platform and interrupting in phase 2.
The next 10 pulls we got 5 deep into phase 3 (should be 8-9) but even then we took ~2-2.5 minutes from the last prototype death to the beginning of the wipe and managed only 40% damage to nef.
