I don't know, I'm rather enjoying the healing job you get now. For heroic, it doesnt really matter, but in raid, it feels like my healing can make a big difference .Paladin tanking is dull -- no where near as exciting as DK/Warrior

You mean healing job as in Word of Glory? Or do you mean Holy Paladin healing?
If the latter, I've not tried, but I do hear from our guild healers who has all the 3 classes, Shaman, paladin and Priest, he does find Paladin healing enjoyable.
On the subject of that, I've nearly pieced together a ilvl 333 set of Holy Paladin gear. I'm gonna spec it up soon and jump into a normal Blackrock Caverns manual queue to see if i can heal it =p ; I'm hoping my gear will offset the noob healing and the possible tanks at that level (80/81) will not have as much HP for me to worry about so I can slowly learn to be MP efficient Or something. If i don't enjoy it, I'll DE it all and suck it up to the fact I'll never be a healing type in any game lol.
I'm talking about WoG on prot. You mean healing job as in Word of Glory? Or do you mean Holy Paladin healing?
It forces me to be very aware of the raid status to pick the best target at any time. When everything goes well, the obvious answer is yourself, but in raid environment, I'm not always the one who is dangers.
Divine guardian and hand of sacrifice are fun spell to uses as well, or at least, I like the kind of dynamics they add.
Of course, it's always a matter of taste. The default rotation on paladin is pretty dull, but if you enjoy healing, it's fun to pull off 2.5k hps while dps'ing and doing the tanking.
Its a matter of helping your group with the tools you have at hand, I could say war tanking is dull too, just charge, rend and spam thunderclap (doesn't work with real people, only potatoes of course). And of course the more you do the more fun the experience is, which is why I dislike leveling dungeons only on my shaman, always get in as healer and its basically refresh earth shield and follow the group to the end. PvP is more fun especially when I'm 1-on-1 or 2v1 and the nubs cant kill me.
Ya that's one thing I love about Paladin is the assorted tools they have, which is why I chose it initially. Its a matter of helping your group with the tools you have at hand
As for Warrior tanking, I felt it really picked up when I could use Charge! For some reason that just flat out makes it fun for me. Being able to charge around at lower level dungeons because people do not wait for me to pull and run off trying to solo packs of mobs, I zip around everywhere!
I'm sure it'll grow old on me later tho, but for now it's quite fun![]()
Random bitch of the day: Why is there no fucking jewelcrafting trainer in Undercity? Not that travel is a huge deal but at level 25, it's a bit of a pain in the ass to fly back to UC via bat, run around the city and find there's no trainer, ask a guard and confirm there's no trainer, then have to hearth to Org to skill up my JCing so I can zep back to UC and continue leveling again.
http://www.wowhead.com/item=63353 + move your hearth around with you
If only my guild had that. Lol. I'm basically single-handedly working on it but yeah. :/ Small guild, no perks.
Just seems dumb for Blizzard to further perpetuate the crowded laggrimmar by not putting something as basic as a trainer in UC.
or you can go from UC to silvermoon using teleporter instead of going fucking org for fuck knows what
Bleh I almost completely forget that Silvermoon is even there, that's how often it's visited by pretty much anybody.
Yeah I read that blue post and it kinda pissed me off. I hate Org. I realize they did a lot of work on it and all that, but okay, I've seen it, can I please have a reason to stay in UC and never need to go to that godforsaken lagfest of a city anymore? They want everyone to have a good game experience but when I can barely move because of lag that's not exactly fun. I shouldn't have to put up with that to do dailies/get JP gear/port places.
Still 98% of the time the correct choice to WoG is you. I actually heal myself more than any person on Nefarian. Something like 1.6m WoG while our healers heal me for 1.1mil over the course of the encounter. WoG is a phenomenal tool, that a lot of Prot Paladins who are still stuck in the old days and still using HotR for everything do not understand.
HoSac is still really not worth the trouble to use as a tank in raid situations but DG is one of the strongest CDs there is. I am still sad they moved it far enough down where Holy Pallys can't reach it.
Very true. A good DK tank should be healing themselves for huge amounts over a lot of fights. I think I remember our DK tank soloing the Ozumat encounter in Throne of Tides the second day of the expac in 322 gear. It was a site to behold as to how much DKs canself heal.
FUCK SELF HEALING HOLY SHIT THESE CLASSES YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME I WANT TO MURDER PEOPLE
So our raid healer decided trolling our guild is more fun than just being honest with people.
He gets "sick" a day after valentines day, misses a weeks worth of raids without any update on if he's ok, when he'll be back or if we need to replace him for x-amount of time. He doesn't even log on or go to our forums to see whats going on but has the time to be logging into his PSN to play games on his PS3 two nights ago, I kicked him and all of his alts out of the guild. No one else plays on his psn but him.
Don't got time to be dealing with trolls.
I'm not playing with DK tanks, but I don't know, 7.5k hps seem absurdly high.
Yeah, I changed the day they added it and never looked behind. Simply looking at the dps loss versus the hps increase should convince anyone (for a situation where healing matter obviously).Still 98% of the time the correct choice to WoG is you. HoSac can be a double edged sword, but I still find situation where it can be applied in many fights. Basically, anytime when I'm not at risk and there is a gimmick targeted at someone. It's not doing much, but I know it did save people at time. Just for example, in last ascent council fight, HoSac saved a healer who got grounded right before the earthquake.
And yeah, DG is just god tier. I suspect that it will be nerfed eventually, because it make such a huge difference in fight with large scales dmg.
Well I just about soloed Erunak and Ozumat though I'm almost full 346 the mage couldnt' do more than 3.6k on any of the boss fights.
DK tank (me) 3.14M 6137.7 65.7%
Mage 690.9K 2786.0 14.5%
Rogue 491.K 999.0 10.3%
Warrior 379.6K 9037.2 8.0%
I also did most of the interrupts and the war died because he was 'too focused on interrupting'
How do you use WoG to outheal your healers? I exclusively use WoG more at the moment because I am tanking heroics in weird gear, but at 115k HP I only heal about 15k~ with 3 holy power ; but if DPS is crazy I will shield instead to try and get ahead of threat.Still 98% of the time the correct choice to WoG is you. Kaylia: Ya everytime a DK death strikes it heals a DK for at least 7% of a DK's HP pool, and more if he just took a damage spike.
EDIT: Nevermind I quickled checked wiki and noticed it's modified by Attack Power, obviously none of the fights in heroics last long enough for me to notice significant healing lol
You always have insane attack power in rais because of vengeance, and with the correct spec and glyph, you can reach decent number. How do you use WoG to outheal your healers? If there is no spike dmg, you can definitively substain most of the healing and hit that kind of number.
Personally, I still prefer spreading my healing around if I'm not in danger. It lower the my own hps, but you can easily prevent death this way (or at least, bring people to the safety zone). Essentially, it depends of the encounter, and who is more likely to die.
I see, not been in raid yet of course as I only hit 85 about last week.
Question then since we're talking about Pallys here:
Seal of Truth or Seal of Insight?
I am noticing with Truth I can get better threat, but I go OOM eventually
With Insight, I can never go OOM, but my threat is slightly behind, but not significant enough, so I stick with insight for now.
Currently while doing my daily quests in TB, truth helps me kill faster, but I get annoyed at having to slightly preserve my ability usage or I go OOM.
Note: Yes I do judgement everytime it's up![]()
