    It isn't about a lack of time, it's about a lack of enjoyable time. 35 minutes is a sacrifice I can personally make on 3/5 weekdays so I'm okay. But chances are I'm doing nothing during the overwhelming majority of those 35 minutes. When the timer gets to <50% remaining time I'm pretty much forced to focus on WoW...doing nothing. I'm merely responding to the 'what's so bad about 35 minutes of fishing/farming/doing archaelogy.' "It's fucking boring and taking a piss when your thirty minute queue pops at 15 minutes means starting over." Is my answer not "Oh god I don't have time to play WoW because I have a big important life or something." Hence anything done to shorten said timers is a net positive, even if the overall quality of groups drops somewhat.

    I completely understand your reasoning behind the "I take a piss and my queue pops and I have to start all over" sentiment. Been there done that. However, I do disagree with rewarding a group of people who are already inherently rewarded by the system. Yes that instant queue is your reward for being a tank. Tanks do not need anymore incentive.

    I completely disagree with anything that will shorten timers at the cost of any loss in group quality. We already have feral cat, ret paladins, unholy dks and fury warriors running as a tank in their blue PvP gear thinking its enough to get by in a heroic as a tank. This will only serve to push those players without the gear to keep queuing causing an overall loss in time. When you get that much faster queue but the tank is only there for the chance at the mount and doesnt really give a flying f... about the group and it fails you will be once again left with returning to your 25minute queue time. They will go back to their instant queue and because Call to Arms is unlimited per day have the same chance to get that mount with some other group.

    Notice I say 25 minutes, because no amount of incentive is going to lower DPS queue times during weekdays to a number people will be happy with.

    So lets get this straight... Blizzard is going to 1) Give incentive to the one group who already gets rewarded, 2) Create more and more groups with lower and lower quality tanks who do not care about the group as a whole, 3) Marginalize existing ancillary content while doing so.

    The problem is a symptom of a much bigger problem with the design of WoW's endgame that it can not be fixed by a band-aid such as this.

    Yeah what might happen is marginal tanks queue up and drop group if it's looks like it won't be a flawless run.

    Thats what they get? That is pretty huge.. they giving tanks & healers 200g per heroic for queing solo, but nerfing old raid's gold per boss because that will disrupt the economy

    Think he means the going price of orbs on his realm. As for the 35minutes thing I didnt mean people had to spend it doing something in wow, its what I do (skin mobs or fish), but most of the time I'll just be browsing BG or watching a movie while queue pops. I'm not a very social person, but you would expect most of the people to have friends/guild for doing heroics instead of crying for blues, reputation and call me a douche because I just want to skip straight to the last boss and get some quick valor (more so now that 4.1 is coming).
    It is after all a MMO; and I'll rage as much as the next person when I get a fail group on my hunter, just saying 35 minutes is not some extreme waiting time; depending on your friends/guild running a pug might be even faster (queue included).
    However I've been know for not looking at things thru the same glass of the WoW population, like in the first heroic nerf batch.

    Another night wiping to Maloriak hc, best attempt was around 40% or something. The fight is so fucking annoying cause so much can go wrong. I'd rather stay away from heroic modes until I at least replace my blues.

    we'll get to red phase and 1 tick of arcane storm will get through, then 3 people die to breath or something. Warlock died to the slimes more often than anyone else with his hellfire shizzle and staying in melee range. nuked the shit out of the adds in green phase but more spawned quickly anyway.. and sometimes the person meant to interupt arcane storm would be out of range or shit and let it tick twice. And on the odd run I'd get flashfrozen the same time remedy goes up and get shouted at for not spellstealing quicker -.-. so much more annoying on heroic. any nerfs inc to maloriak?

    Don't think blizz will nerfs heroic modes at all and if it happens will be before 4.2 release. Your best nerf will be to switch to 25man hardmodes

    Our DK emoed out spectacularly last night after being terrible for an hour on atramedes 10h. We replaced him with a paladin who had never done the fight before ever on normal or heroic, wearing shit gear and pulling 6k dps, gave him a 1 minute speech about what to do / what to expect, then proceeded to one-shot the fight.

    So my complaint is why does my raid have such terrible static members, such that a vastly inferior replacement on paper outperforms them with no experience.

    We're gonna have trouble with magmaw 10h next week without a DK to kite parasites

    We’ve been following discussions and reading feedback on the Dungeon Finder Call to Arms feature, and appreciate everyone’s opinions on the topic. We wanted to share a few items though that supplement the recent announcement:

    The additional reward for completing the Dungeon Finder Call to Arms (called the Satchel of Exotic Mysteries) will be Bind on Account; able to be freely sent to other characters on your account once you receive it.

    An error existed in the announcement regarding flasks and potions being picked based on your spec. This is not the case. If someone earns a Satchel of Exotic Mysteries, and if it rolls the random chance to provide a potion or flask, it will be a randomly selected. This helps ensure a broad array of available flasks and potions for all characters.

    We also wanted to clarify, mounts that have a possibility to be found in a Satchel of Exotic Mysteries are found with the same rarity as if you had slain the dungeon boss that normally drops them.

    sounds like more encouragement for ppl to roll their baddie tank / healer into heroics since they can send the bags to anybody. gear up your baddie while sending the stuff to another character.. sounds even more fail. Now it doesn't matter what character you do the heroics on since you can send it to your main or any toon.

    This change would in no way make me want to take my main character (tank) that doesn't need anything from heroics, or valor, into a heroic when I can take my brand spanking new 85 healer that just meets the dungeon ilv and send the stuff to my main . (this is an example)

    Yes, WoW is obviously trying. But anybody who is complaining that 30 minutes is too long to wait and they don't have enough time to do a dungeon during the night because they have to wait for a 30 min que.. then they are fighting a one sided / unrealistic battle.
    It's not even the time. Nothing induced me into a rage more quickly then a 45 minute Queue, followed by by 3-5 wipes on the first boss cause your the only one who knows how to actually play the game, drop, and wait another 45 minutes to run again. I had one dungeon including queue time take almost 3 hrs due to incompetence.

    Someone said the dungeon finder pairs up good geared people with shit geared people to balance out the group and increase chance of success, I'm starting to believe its true.

    The real problem will come when you get a shit tank, kick him (no one will want to leave now), get penalized and get another shit tank. So much for fast queues if at all.
