Went to install patch, had 5 gigs free on my HD since I just installed Portal 2 and had some movies sitting on my HD I was too lazy to delete. Got an error about having insufficient disk space..so I freed up 6 more gigs and it went through then I saw this

The 4.1 patch will require about 9 GB of free space in order to be installed. Even though it's only about a 320 MB download, the space is required for the patch to unpack itself and the installed game files. Then it applies itself and finally packs everything back up.

If you encounter this error, please try freeing up to 9GB of space for the patch on your hard drive.

Why would it require a 9 gig install file to install that small of an update? I don't have much knowledge on the tech aspect of computers so maybe it's something common i'm just not aware of?

It probably makes a complete temporary copy and then patches that, instead of patching in-line.

That would make more sense since the files they are probably patching and tweaking would total around 9gigs.

Also not a complaint: Servers wont be up for another 1.5hrs at the least, i'm betting 5pm PST to get in, but gives me time to wait for my new CPU and install it before servers come up o:

edit: gotta love steamtool. Just moved blackops back onto my velociraptor with the other steam games and back to having just wow and BFbc2 on my SSD. What a convenient program.

the WoW patcher has always demanded 2x the space of the uncompressed game data. It can make installing WoW a real bitch on a laptop.

Yeah I always forget to move a game back to my steam hdd and off my SSD. Luckily it is pretty quick to do. But I forget every single time.

LOL Frost Dk's are broken, well all are really, blood runes don't have a CD so as frost you can spam Oblit constantly back to back, as UH you can spam blood boil over and over, and as blood you can spam heart strikes nonstop.

Fucking shitting me, die by bear boss in ZA because the add MC'd our tank then we can't even zone in to continue a bear run because the instance server just wont load. Stuck on the loading page for 10mins. Love me some patch fail

Apparently it's too much to ask for a patch to go well, when it only entails 2 5man dungeons that were already in the game and a few minor tweaks on top of that, while taking extra time to put the patch out. I can't wait to see how the Firelands patch goes!

Edit; even better! You cant get into random dungeons even with the teleport feature right now...and I tried to teleport while flying, it wouldnt let me teleport in...then it just dropped me on my flying mount, which refused to flap it's wings, to my death. gg patch

Actually that DK bug was like that on the ptr and nobody bothered to fix it until it went live.

Server kept DCing every 30 mins tonight while doing raids. Made for a highly annoying night... Couldn't even finish Nef, just got too late.

they removed the easter event from Azure Watch. Way to break stuff idk how its possible.. The event is completely removed from Azure Watch lol, no npc's, no eggs, can't event use the speed basket. How the hell do you break something like that?

Being entirely dependant of the terrible pug healer make me miserable in the new instance. They need to change that back. Nerf something else if you have to, I don't give a shit, but not being able to heal other is annoying as hell.

(paladin being my fully pre-raid geared alt that I don't really play)

I use WoG at least once every 10s (per 3 crusader strikes or hammers) if healer sucks or I take more damage than usual, now this means I just have to dump it on Shield...

In this case I might as well just Inquistion myself so my Holy Wraths can do more damage (lol) (in multi target fights)
