We had an issue like this though w/o the satchel problem. Queued up as a 5man for random Zandalari heroic, got ZA, went in. Wiped on bear and went to run back, couldnt run back in and got instance server issues, we finally got back in and completed the whole heroic to only not receive any VP.
Also why the fuck can't we fly in Ghostlands still? They reverted the change...why
We got achiev from last boss in ZA, was pretty easy mostly because scare beast is da bomb, kept 1 kitty CC, kill the other, focus boss, win. Wasnt a hard instance really but its a step up from snoozeroics, though doing it with pugs will suck major balls.
And boy the trash there has a load of HP, long heroics are long, reminds me of release DM and Grim Batol, or a full run of HoO.
i love it when i finally figured everything out to optimize dps, end up doing 31k dps (with only one MC) throughout a lengthy heroic nefarian attempt only to wipe cause someone missed pretty much the last blast nova on their platform.
guhhhhh. on par for a top ele parse
fuck these troll heroics. The community bitches Grim batol was long, what does blizzard do? ZG/ZA. fucking 2 hour for a clear.
Blizzard can line up so i can put my foot up their collective asses. If it fits up there, since that's where they seem to keep their heads. Fuck.
Than just queue for normal heroic for fuck sake. They even made a different queue if you wanted to avoid them.
These heroic are perfect. They offer a nice step between raiding and old heroic right now.
Were normal heroics really any different when coming out? My first deadmines in green/blue questing gear after hitting 85 took at least over an hour-hour and a half. Cleared ZA yesterday 5x in 25mins a piece.
The real problem with ZA specifically is that the instance is still in TBC-mode, with stupid shit like Jan'alai's flame patches dropping directly below him + melee range, trash AOE being invisible underneath the never-level ground gemoetry or Halazzi's totems being immune to nature/bleed damage. Great Blizz, thanks for the pointless punishment of melee classes.
Cool, to address my previous post, looks like it's not only me:

Which is good. Hopefully with GM would send me VP and bag =p as compensation.
I really have no issue with the length of the instances, I like that they are actually hard and should be so. However I hate that some of the shit you can't even see, like on a trash pull when a totem is put down that makes all trash immune to dmg, it's hard as fuck to see it because everyone gets GIANT bright shields on them. Luckily that's negated somewhat if you burst the fuck outta the witchdoctors and chain stun/silence them.
Really? That's tiny as hell. Sure BWD isnt much bigger but it came with 2 other raids alongside it...Firelands Raid:
The raid instance is supposed to be 4 times the size of Obsidian Sanctum, roughly the size of Alterac Valley
Nameplates do amazing things
Go with friends then, or just wait 2 more weeks and this shit will be much faster. Same thing happened at the beginning of this expansion with normal heroic. Some of the longest one were taking freaking forever when most players were undergeared and didnt know the fight.
So far, I had a terrible ZA pug (mostly the healer) that took like 1hour30-2hours to complete the zone, an average one that took 1 hour, and I had a great ZG pug with no experience that cleared the place in 30min. Our healer wasnt even good in that pug since he kept dying to every single mechanics. We took the 3 cauldron guy down from 50% without healer, same with the poison guy....
Anyway...the average clear time in a few week will be around 45min, and that's fine considering you wont have to grind the shit out of these to get geared, especially if you're raiding at the same time (like you should be doing anyway).
Is the ZA timed run bugged? Does it really only give you 20mins to do the entire thing? We were chain pulling mobs, we never stopped to drink or eat, and our tank was doing 16kdps on bosses and we got to Lynx with 3mins left on timer. No one ever died or anything. Is the boss pattern still Eagle > Bear > Dragonhawk > Lynx? I just don't see how it's possible we were maxing out movement, dps and everything. Flasked, well fed out the ass etc etc.
We had 15mins to kill Eagle, we killed him with 11mins left on timer and it was put back to 15. Then we had the timer at 13 when we killed Bear the timer went up to 15mins again. Dragonhawk didnt add time, which I figured was usual like the old timed runs.
People used to question if the old one was bugged or possible.
I've seen people running around with bears already.
Sooo the timer is correct to only add 2-3mins each boss kill on eagle bear and that's it? aka you get a total of 21mins to do all 4 bosses? (15min start, 2-3min added for 2 bosses)
I could see it just barely doable if we brought a bloodlust, but then fuck blizzard and their "bring the player not the class". We ran UH DK, Hunter, Feral, Resto Drood, Shadow Priest.
I'm not saying the shit isn't tight, I remember at 70 a bear run was by the skin of your teeth, but I also seem to recall the eagle and bear boss kills adding to your timer and not adding to only a cap of 20mins if by some magic you killed eagle only 2 mins into the instance.
From what WoWhead says it's 15/5/5 for the timer additions. When we killed Eagle we had 11mins left on the timer, he died, and we went up to 15, not to 16. When we killed bear we had 12 mins left (made a mistake and thought we had 13, guildie said they saw 12) either way we didn't get any more time past another 15.
Ran za 5 times last night, with DK, feral druid, prot paly, holy priest and an arcane mage, had 4-5 mins after getting lynx boss dead. There's a lot of trash you can skip
also make sure you dont release any prisoners til after lynx dead, wastes time.
What route did you take and did your timer ever go over 15mins? Someone made a reply to my WoWforum post that they go Dragonhawk>Bear>Eagle>Lynx which I thought seemed weird, but they said the timer can never go over 15mins so you do the bear and eagle in the middle to get the most out of it. Not too sure on how legit that is though.
What trash do you skip other then the patrol between bear/eagle and Dragonhawk/Lynx, the 2 groups you can run through on Lynx? Do you take the path to Dragonhawk through the roosting area or through the area next to the huts with the pack of 2 flamecasters+mobs?
I've just been going on the map that I used to go for 10man bear runs so i'm not sure if a better path has emerged.
