pvp is balanced, don't you read the posts by Blizzard?
I'm just waiting on caster legendaries to hit the scene...oh boy oh boy.
Edit:
So when you unlock the Shadow Wardens AND the Druids of the Talon in Molten Front can you NOT do both of their dailies on the same day along with the original ones? Because it doesn't look that way..and if so..WHAT THE FUCK IS THE FUCKING POINT?
Correct, you can only do one faction's dailies each day. For cheeve reasons, you should choose Talons every day except the first day that you can access Wardens because this unlocks extra dailies in addition to a one-time reward of 5 marks. Once both are unlocked, you get 26 marks per day instead of 25 -- the lasher daily is available every day, unlocked by completing a one-time quest for the Wardens. Tholo's daily is available every day, and is unlocked by completing a one-time quest for the Talons.
To summarize:
Outside quests: 6 marks per day
Inside quests: 8 marks per day
Talon quests: 10 marks per day, exclusive with Warden quests
Warden quests: 10 marks per day, exclusive with Talon quests
Tholo's quest: 1 mark per day, only available after a one-time quest completed for the Talons
Lasher's quest: 1 mark per day, only available after a one-time quest completed for the Wardens
Finally, here's my understanding of the near future:
Ricket's quest: 2 marks per day?
Ancients: 3 marks per day?
Filling the moonwell: one-time 10 mark reward
Total maximum progress today (barring the double-daily turnin glitch that happened on some servers) is 23 marks with both factions recruited. The fastest possible finish is a week from next Thursday, and I believe that all 6 possible ordering of quaternary unlocks leads to completion on that day.
Yeah I unlocked Wardens first just because I liked the Wardens better, it's a shitty system and makes me even more embarrassed that Blizzard believed this would be some engrossing area of questing that made you feel as part of the action.
For those of us who are playing everyday, well, its a pretty long and annoying grind for 2 (possibly 3) minipets, a mount, and a title. But the zone's pretty clearly for people who don't play every day, and from what I can tell it works well for those people: it gives them about 30 days of content, which they will consume over the course of 2-3 months.
Given the rise and fall of many guilds due with this expansion I'm really surprised some people in my guild aren't thinking outside of the box. Instead, I get called "sad" because I'm actually thinking about what can be done with it lol
Here's my reasoning, and also the reason I made the topic to collect Real IDs:
Regardless of what becomes of the Real ID party service, whether it'd be premium or not, this provides a massive opportunity for networking with random people and possibly picking up more reliable new raid members.
This is what I envisioned:
Forum Cross Realm Recruiting - Need more people? Realm people sucks? Add potential recruit to Real ID, take them into a troll, monitor/see how they perform or listen, etc. People are already willing to jump realms if it means they could raid.
RL Recruitment/Networking - Wanna play with others? See who else is playing (nevermind the faction for now), advertise, ask, get their Real ID, play together, if lots of lolz and possible future raids, realm jump, more fun. Got into a "WoW Club/Group" and just want to casually play with others you've met in the place/during the day? Real ID accomplishes this very well.
I just feel that networking wise this has lots of potential. I would love to head to a gameshop for example, find out the dude (or ideally, chick) at the till loves to play, get his/her real ID, do some dungeons, do some dungeons with his/my mates, decide I like them/he likes us, realm jump, raid, more fun, other possible guild activities.
But instead, I just get called sad lol.
Seriously I'm really starting to look down on a lot of WoW Players. It's really infuriating that some rather just sit there and die instead of improve their quality of life.
Multi box = nnononononono you're sad/no life
Sell epics = nonononnonono we must 10 man it with people we know even if we don't need gear and overgear it
Merc stuff = nonononononno why would you want to do that
Me saying I'd buy raid epics if we can't raid (as our raids are sucking lately) = nonononono then what's the point to the game
Sell Bear runs = nononononononoNO

I do miss camping HNMs on FFXI and selling ridill's.
Selling BoP loot on WoW is unheard of as far as I've found out. Back in wrath I wanted to purchase rotface/festergut bloods and asked around top guilds, people didn't seem interested AT ALL. Even though half of the guilds had already passed the amount of clears they needed to get everyone their Shadow's edge. I guess the largest problem is that you need to substitute one player to get them in. And they could be very, very shit.
Plus, what the fuck would you do with the gold you earned? If you sell it you're fucked, they will catch you red handed if you have over 100k to a brand new level 1 character. Other option I guess is to gear alts.. fucking useless. I only get to raid three times a week and if they want any character at all it's usually mage, when the stars and planets allign they may want my tank.
Depends on the server, but people have been selling BoPs/raid runs since Onyxia had attunements. It's just a question of being online at the right time, as the guilds who typically sell such things are also hardcore progression guilds and 'make money' once progression is over and they can spare the cycles.
The gold, for me, 3-4 things:
1. Just to see how much more I can earn against my RL friends
2. Trade said gold with RL friends for "items" (we had a small lan group going once. I offered to give my mate 5000g for a Dominos Pizza of my choice, as a joke. He needed gold, so he jumped at it. I plan to see what crazy things I can do, haha!)
3. Throw gold around for misc things that people might do for money that I cannot get my own guild to accomplish, i.e. achievement runs and stuff, pay people for their time. This is only in cases where I want something done but not enough people are interested, and I'm impatient. Money is a bit of power, afterall =p
Having done the dailies for both factions now, I suggest doing Druids just once and Talon for the grind. The Talon ones go much faster for me.
You want to be doing talons on a daily basis because Death From Above promises to be the cockblock for Veteran of the Molten Front.
I've gotten that daily twice and only seen 1 of those elementals i need to bomb. Makes me wonder if they're rare spawn inside a daily quest...which is a whole new realm of bullshit.
Mainly for me it's because I can. if i can't be rich IRL might as well in the game. It's fun to throw money around. right now im sitting on 310k from farming FL with about another 50k waiting to be sold, and i'm still grinding more. The hell else am i going to do between raid times? Keeps me entertained, i still enjoy seeing that purple item when i loot. Brings me back to a drop from FFXI dropping or that red box from my PSO days. Plus, my dad and my little brother play on my realm, so it's nice to be able to buy them things when they drool over something random. The gold, for me, 3-4 things:
There's always 1 elemental in the bombing run. Not sure when the order changes though.
I've got 3 so far.
The elemental selected seems random. So far we've got blazefury 3 times and heatguy once in 4 days where the daily has been available.
I don't think the grind is that bad to be honest. It takes about 17 min out of my day, which is less than TB or argent dawn, or even a random dungeons. Considering I will be maxed in 1 month, which is once again far less than the amount of time I wasted in TB or Argent dawn.
That said, I agree the place is kinda stupid. Capturing the tower every days is retarded and make your effort seem pointless, instead of making the zone feel interactive. There isnt enough phasing either to make it looks like you're setting an outpost. The tree is nice and all, but if that's just, it's not enough.
In that case a few of my friend's will say "but it's just a game"if i can't be rich IRL might as well in the game. It's fun to throw money around.
This pic found somewhere on the forum is never more appropiate haha
Infact, I'm sick of that excuse. Next time I get it thrown at me I'm gonna ask why the fuck are they playing it then.
I don't know why but our guild is having trouble on alysrazor 10 normal and at least 4 of us have been in top 100 world guilds lol. One hatchling just isnt dying fast enough. It's becomming really annoying playing casual, and it is going to take me quite some time before I see my staff. Think I've only got like 5-6 embers.
try moving your dps around so that your highest dps is on the add not dying fast enough
