By the way, does anyone have any tips for transition Ragnaros (10m normal), we keep failing on that:
We had a setup of
DK tank
DK tank
Druid Balance
Shaman Healer
2 warlocks
hunter
mage
holy paladin
shadow priest
While we only got a few attempts at him, we practiced a little but only managed to let one reach the hammer, but still need some more practice. We've been death gripping the ones that get close but it's slightly frantic.
you have a really bad setup for it honestly. have the druid stand next to the hammer when he dps his add so he can push back any others that run toward it. have the 2 warlocks on the farthest adds from the hammer since they absolutely suck for burst. Hunter should be closest to the hammer, since 1 aimed shot > 1 chimera shot will kill an add. I believe the holy pally can glyph into an additional stun and stun 2 adds solo until the dps can get to them. Use the other members as place fillers.
DK should be able to deathgrip their adds. too
Really should be fine, a hunter + holy pally can duo the closest 3 adds on either side. Mage can easily solo 1, boomkin can easily solo 2 (make sure he shrooms 1, then starts out nuking a diff 1 since the initial burst of shrooms will still give a significant slow), locks can easily solo a far 1. That's already 8 ignoring both tanks and your spriest...don't forget deathgrip as people mentioned, maybe put the spriest either near the boomkin or the hunter/pally team to help out...it really shouldn't be too bad overall.
Also make sure people are being smart with resources before that (aka, a shadow priest can sit on 3 shadow orbs and do worse dmg before the transition, but then blast for a shitton of damage). You can gain a lot of dmg with stuff like this (boomkin being careful with which eclipse state he's in, hunter can force a 4 or 5 stack on instant aimed, mage can try to be full mana for more mastery, etc).
Hey guys thanks for that info. The druid, however good he might be, never thought about using push back. I'll suggest this to him. He also never thought about laying mushrooms, or that I've seen mushrooms be laid (I'm a fan of that move, it's funny to see mushrooms go boom!, so I always lookout for them)
We have been death gripping but it becomes a minor panic in doing so. I can't see behind the hammer and it just so that the adds reach the hammer behind it lol
Unsure what spec hunter is. Will go tell him of the 2 shot rotation. I didn't get much feedback from the others.
Hopefully we'll kill him this week then!
Can't DG normal mode adds only heroic mode from my own experience. I have not tried Death Grip lately on normal rag as it didn't work for me 3 weeks ago, but I did DG successfully on heroic mode this past weekend.

While dps on rag is important, its not a huge burn till phase 3 on normal, so people need to save major CDs and stuns for the adds if there is an issue there with getting them down. No excuse for letting an add get away no matter what class you are, some of our tanks solo adds.
You can, it's just bugged out. Out of all our attempts before we got the kill down, i would say 2/10 DG would fail. Can't DG normal mode adds only heroic mode from my own experience. As a DK tank you should be able to damage an add enough to get it to the slowest moving speed, Chains & Grip should more than cover it, but this only really works in the first transition because in the second transition you need one tank taking care of the large add.
chains doesnt work unfortunately.
Also, you can have each tank pick up a large add, and still stun/dps at least 1 son...at least that's how we've always done it.
http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/2...anges-part-oneOverall, we think melee DPS in dungeons and raids is still too low.
Howling Blast now scales from 44% and 22% of Attack Power, down from 48% and 24% of AP.![]()
wtf at the new dungeon gear being ilv 378. I coulda afk'd this entire xpac and come back for 4.3 and been ready for the deathwing raid in 2 weeks. While I'm sure some FL gear will be better, it's letting noobs/super casuals completely bypass FL all together. It shoulda been like ZA/ZG gear was and been 1/2 tier better then then t11 stuff. That way its easier for ppl to get into FL after its been super nerfed and gear up for deathwing that way. so retarded
inb4 ppl need to make it obvious there is t12 bonus and rags drops higher ilv
Cause, you know, it's not like ICC 5 mans dropped 232 or anything
Yes? It's been like that for over 2 year...
If you're farming normal loot, you're doing it wrong. Hell, even heroic loot is pointless unless you're going for quick progress in the next tier. While I'm sure some FL gear will be better, it's letting noobs/super casuals completely bypass FL all together. Secondly, ZA/ZG purpose wasnt to introduce you to fireland, but to introduce you to ilvl359tier. The new heroic will server the exact same purpose in DragonSoul.
told my guild leader 3 weeks ago to sell the living embers in bank before they lose their worth. no one needs them.
Look again today and the price has more than halved and they're still idling in the guild bank -.-
it's no wonder he has gold problems
