I have to agree with FG, it was a satire for the goblin start area. It wasn't meant to be a direct representation of GTA games where your goblin was driving around murdering hookers and shooting cops before Deathwing showed up. I didn't really view any of the goblin starting area as grim or dark, the Worgen area was more grim then goblin with you trying to fight back the worgen and finally being attacked full force and then cutting to black, and even that wasn't very dark in my opinion.
The main focus being like it was back in Vanilla is a welcome change to me, I like that each raid might be something completely different and not have to follow a general theme based around the main bad guy. One raid might be the mantis people, then who knows maybe we have to go to another location completely and fight an entire new race. I would honestly like to see a raid based on Alliance vs Horde and not in the scheme of ToC. Where each faction had a different raid in terms of cosmetics and enemies though the same layout and everything, even the main raid area could be the same and just say "Oh the Alliance/Horde took this stronghold and we must take it back" that way it explains why the stronghold has stone walls for both since it was pre-existing.
I didn't give a damn about pandas until you started posting all that shit. Goblins and pandas have completely different vibes, and I'm pretty sure a majority would agree. I don't even understand how you can say they are the same unless you never paid attention to the lores.
Goblin arent serious, yes, but their humor is very similar to what you see everywhere else in warcraft universe. Panda...not really. Can they work them in? Probably, but this isn't exactly the kind of stuff most people who enjoy the story wanted to see.
Worgen starting area is still the best
Holy fucking shit @ Firestone drop rate... 0 fire stones in 9 heroic boss kills and I need 2 just to upgrade the goddamn weapons I have since they are the only Str 1 handers.
That was totally worth the wait......fucking horrible looking. I would love to see what the other tier was before this..
looks like a pvp set tbh. Pretty bad.
Just had to comment on this after 2 nights of complete retardation and it made me think of this comment.
Initially I didn't think too much of it, but now I am really more and more thinking everyone who:
#1 "Single Issue" berserk button of a touchy topic (i.e. ninjaing)
#2 Does shitty DPS in dungeons in 370 ilvl just to seemingly troll people or can't follow extremely simple instructions
#3 Complains about irrelevant issues
Are aspies.
Scenarios:
#1
(I wasn't in this group)
A druid apparently ninja'd the 378 neck (the one with str) in Fireland trash run, so naturally the group probably fell apart and hence everyone went back to town. Accusations begin, and within minutes everyone active in trade chat just made a beeline on this ninja issue, and about not raiding with this guy again, and then people who weren't even involved were slamming on him. Maybe it was a particularly busy night but man the trade chat channel was flying fast
#2
Was tanking a ZA. After a rotation of bad healers we got one semi competent. However, the DPS weren't so ... an guestimate 374 ret paladin (on my realm), 371 full pvp hunter (random) and a 346 warlock (on my realm). The warlock wasn't bad, so I gave him a pass. The paladin seemed asleep despite my instructions to run in during the firehawk boss, and did 2k DPS initially, then jumping to 18k for the 2nd attempt, but thinned out at 10k overall for further fights. The hunter kept killing both adds despite me explaining, and floated at 5k single target dps with 10k dps AOE. I was going to boot the paladin first as I thought the hunter was quite good until it became apparent he sucks, and I rather not lose the Paladin who can follow some instruction.
Overall he was not very responsive and I cannot initiate anymore party kicks for some reason (I'VE NOT KICKED ANYONE FOR A WEEK!). My frustations rapidly build so I whispered the healer to boot him. He kept saying give him a chance/etc/he doesn't like booting, but I was adamant that he goes or we'll spend the whole night there.
(I did not want to leave as that means starting over in a troll which I wanted to try and avoid, it was nice to land in ZA with 2 bosses done)
After several failed attempts at getting him booted, I whispered the warlock, who gladly obliged (I was trying to avoid communication with someone on own realm). This was right before the low boss.
Hunter, bam, gone. Paladin starts bitching about how it was mean/cruel. I yell back at him that do you want him to waste 2 hours of our time wiping on the boss because of our below-stellar DPS? He says we should've done it earlier, I say everyone was on cooldown. He shuts up for now.
A druid arrives with 19k DPS output. The equivalent of 3 hunters. Due to our shit healer everyone died but me at the end anyway (luckily). So as a means to torment the Paladin and the healer I waited 1 minute before looting, during this time I rightly justified that if we didn't boot we wouldn't even be at this point right now, just to make a point. The paladin yet still says it's mean (#3). I fucking tell him that it's even worst to waste 4 people's time.
Minor rant really. I'm not attacking anyone who's autistic, but after so many cases I really think this to be the a semi-true fact. And then suddenly it makes everything slightly easier to deal with temporarily as I switch to a more aggressive stance.
double post!![]()
Thinking about horror stories like #2 is why I never do any max level group content for like a week whenever I come back to this game. I'm always way too scared to click on the "Find group" button.
Was an alt so unfortunately I wasn't in top form either. If I was DK I'd happily mow everything down with minimal fuss![]()
Ironically though I went on DK to complete my last 100 VP (we didn't have people kill Rag) and the 4 people I got were lovely, high DPS, and co-operative!!
Hence Random Group I guess.
However, I'll happily spam/use the Raid Finder. 25 people lumped together, someone can take care of it. I'll just blend in the background :D
How does a hunter do 5k dps? You can do 14-15 just spamming the fuck out of steady shot on MM...which is what i do in randoms because fuck trying.
Itemization for my Tier 13 =
Strength 1,940
Stamina 3,274
Mastery rating 839
Armor 15,554
Critical 697
Expertise 232
Haste rating 585
Hit rating 270
Crit being the worst DK stat for both specs o_O
I guess because of the melee buff and the tier bonuses they wanted to knock down haste hardcore
Fucking hate people who continue to win the Fishing tournaments even though they have won them before. Every time I have failed to get to the NPC in time and lost, i've checked the person who won and seen they won the tournament the previous week, or earlier.
God damn, why is it so hard to find a decent guild with people who know how to play their class. Need to find a new guild for my resto druid.![]()
I've done the HH Dungeon daily on three 85 characters... none have gotten the mount. Tons of Magic Brooms, Squashlings, and Hallowed Helms out the ass. I got the plate helm on my Druid, and two of the swords on my Hunter back to back now. I wanted to scream when I saw the purple "Horseman" sword thinking it was the mount.
I guess this is pay back for getting both Brewfest mounts back to back and then getting a third wasted one on the same character. One day left... ~.~
Personally I think it's silly that the sword/helmet aren't boa. The mount I can see because it'd allow people with more characters to get it easily, but the number of clothies and leatheries I see getting the helmet is irritating. Makes my warrior a very very sad panda.
I've been doing it on 7 characters for the past week, all I've gotten is a sword and broomstick :/
