Was the loot always "council"?
I'd say you did the right thing by gquitting on the spot. Question is, did you not have the dagger before hand? There is something awfully fishy going on if you have had the daggers for several weeks and been getting the clusters and suddenly they are giving the clusters to the new guy. Guilds want that legendary made asap, to toss aside 4 weeks of gathering just means, they wanted to force you to leave in the first place.
I got my daggers on the saturday after patch. The thing is, I don't really know why they'd want to force me to leave either. I've been top dps in the guild since cata came out, was on my boomkin for bwd and FL tiers, when they announced the legendary daggers they asked me if I wanted to level a rogue for them since we where going to have a war tank quit the guild for school, and one of our meh dps was going to go feral tank.
The other thing is, I always made sure to never cause problems, to the point where I would just flat out not talk in raid or guild or vent unless I was asked something directly. A few of the people in the guild have hotheads and don't like being called out or anything like that.
The gear wasn't always "counciled" it was usually where they would see who could realistically use it, and then have 2 or 3 people roll. I actually brought up first week that all tier should go to the tanks first because of 4 peices and no one was really on board with that idea until this week.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to pug again. The guild didn't down normal mode Nef until FL was released and is still to down normal Rag. Each week after the guild raid I'd join some pug and get the remaining kills I needed.
I can't fathom staying in a guild that can't kill reg Rag after a month of DS raiding.
I'm in a guild that hasn't killed gunship in a month of gunship raiding
shit is so cash
Spoiler: show
^10 man? Shit is alot more forgiving in 25. downright difficult in 10.
Trust me, Its been difficult staying with them. Unfortunately I work noon to 9pm just about everyday and they are literally the only guild I've found that doesn't raid during that time.
yeah 10 man, doesn't seem that hard to me really, nothing but the charges are particularly hard to see
I can imagine sappers would be a bitch if you didn't have a dk is about all.
It's just alot of things at once to focus on. If someone isn't used to that many mechanics it's overwhelming until you get it right. First 5 bosses you have 1 or 2 mechanics, then all of a sudden its small bombs, big bomb, humanoid charges, dragons, sappers, tank swaps, etc. AVOID ALL THE THINGS.jpg. Plus all our wow careers we've been conditioned to stay OUT of the shit on the ground and now we have to stand in it. It's just eh. Lots of ground to cover for 10 people vs 25.
We're stuck on spine, but we've only had 1 night, which was maybe 3-5 attempts total on it. Every raid day someone isn't around or we have to pug or idk even. Something always stops us.
Yeah thats why I stayed too, They where the only guild that fit my schedule. I'm just still baffled that they just tossed me aside like that. They knew I wanted the daggers, but what it turns out, is that they wanted to get 2 sets of legendaries at the same time.... yeah. They tried to do the same thing with the staff. They offered me the first staff, I turned it down since I was so ahead of everyone else in the guild already, so instead they alternated flames between the two mages. Which is probably the reason the guild still doesn't have a staff. I'd change servers if I knew I could get a spot, but yeah, kinda reluctant to do that at the moment.
10 was a challenge for us the first week as well. Are you trying to 3 heal it? With "low" dps you will just plain not be able to down what you need to before the next wave begins with 3 healers. That being said, this week made me believe that they ninja hotfixed the Elite's health pools on 10man. I expect a "hotfix" blue post in the next day or so.
We had issues with our staff as well. First recipient ended up leaving after he got to phase 2. Second recipient got to phase 2 and got promoted at work and had to step down 2 weeks later. Our third try is over halfway to phase 3, but absolutely no one wants to go back to FL. Our fourth phase 2 staff is actually pugging 25 FL every week to get cinders.
As for your situation, most servers do have a late night raiding community. On my server there are actually 3 horde and 1 Alliance guild that are called "Late Night" or "Late Shift" because they start their raids at 10pm or later server time. I would encourage you to head over to the guild recruitment forums and even individual server forums and look around. There are quite a few guilds who just plain do not have a rogue at this point. You are likely to get lucky with Late Night guilds or even one of the many Oceanic guilds.
For my own complaint ...
Why in hell does Blizzard insist on the "Main Hand/Off Hand/One Hand" BS? Seriously, the Agi "Main hand" BoP trash sword looks pretty damn cool, but its basically only worth value to rogues, locks and mages because you cant transmog it to a strength one hander because they are all one hand weapons.
It was the opposite for us. We had many issue until we went to 3 heal. The big adds took forever to dies like that, but it wasnt a problem to heal with 3 healer
Our issue was more the drakes dying at a decent pace. When we have 3 healers we run Lock/Hunter/SP and the addition of a Boomkin, they die super quickly significantly reducing ship damage. The Elites have been nerfed to a degree that we can often be sitting waiting for a bit before the next set drops.
we've been 2 healing most tries, and yeah this week we actually went with just me and the rogue on the melee mobs so we had 4 ranged on drakes full time, it worked out quite well
it's just kind of sad... here's meter from the fight where we almost got him (our 2nd, and last attempt of the night)
the druid is a tank, the 2nd hunter was a fill-in, someone's brother
unfortunately that's a pretty typical meter
Looks like my guild's ultraxion meters lol.
ultrax last week...

Oh you lucky bastard. We have two people consistently under 18k on that fight and they aren't the tanks![]()
I can't come up with much else to say about those numbers but "I'm sorry dude". Is that SP your normal healing priest I hope?
Nothing can help you but convincing your Rogue and Warlock to push more damage on the encounter. I understand your Priest's low damage, but I would suggest that you have him practice his rotation on a target dummy as much as possible until he really has it down.
