[Correction]

DK/Rogue/Priest/Warrior/Druid should barely be taking any damage on P3 Black Knight if they save their absorb/damage%- cooldowns for that phase (and they should be). I suspect Mages can reset their debuff stacks with ice block. So either your group comp is really unideal, the tank isn't able to mitigate damage without his CDs in P2 or the DPS is too slow to kill the P3 form before 7+ stacks of the debuff start popping on everyone.

I am main spriest but sometimes go disc on heroics or easy stuffs, i dont really have healing gear but for heroic toc, i just save inner focus > divine hymn for last phase, then PoH or penance depending on situation, should be dead almost at time my divine hymn is done.

I think it was just the people because I never had any issues before. Like on phase 2 I would get off one heal and all the ghouls were going after me. yeah they don't do too much damage but when 6 of em are on you... their 300 damage punches add up.

with my priest though, I think the 1st boss combination was horrible. rogue + warrior is crazy... we had a pally but he didn't remove the poison fer me.

I forget the comp we were up against, but my shaman healed 4800+ hps in the 1st boss in 5 TOC Heroic. That's a rediculous amt. of throughput needed for a 5-man heroic, in my opinion. I'm just glad I can use cleanse totem as a crutch if the rogue is ever up.

And boy am I glad I'm a bloodlusted mail-wearer during ghouls on the DK boss. And I have tremor totem for nightmare bitch, too. Man my shaman rocks for healing H ToC (which I'm spamming for an Enhancement mace, of course).

I'll be honest most heroic groups lean way too much on their healer and forget how to mitigate damage. Maybe 1/5 tanks/dps I know use their stuns/disarms against the champs in the 5-man heroic. Or interrupt the mage. Or interrupt the hunter's channel, etc. 'NUU I must mash mah dps buttans onry!'

Thats how the guilds on my server operate. Whatever we work on, they always make sure to go after something else. We lost the server firsts of:

1 light, 4 tower fl, firefighter, vezax, and hodir to this faggotry. Three of those were because we were working on freya which took a month for any other guild besides us to kill.

and the reply was "we wanted our title, we'll get those this week"

Funny thing is, they wont get those this week lol. We are still leaps and bounds ahead on algalon and everything else is done. We were really just learning yogg0 between resets cause there is nothing else to do, and their rank and stuff is still behind ours... just lame of them.

It's a hard encounter so grats to them, but lol @ doing it just to beat us. They are horde and we are ally, and they used to be really competitive for server firsts, including getting a couple in lich king over us.

Random complaint of the day:
All WOTLK PVE 'Enhancement Shaman' totems. Almost universally the elemental totem of the same level (or a level lower) is stronger dps, and both were trumped by PVP totems until the Triumph totems came out.
Now, Pally/DK get 200STR from their sigil/libram proc and we get 200AP (and a bugged 234 healing+).
Does not compute.

Oh, I know 200 haste isn't a bad totem, and it's better than 200AP.

But 200str for plate is insanely better than 200AP, or 200 haste. If the Quaking Earth had something more in line with 200STR (say 200AGI or 400AP), it would indeed be better than Electrifying Earth. And if they hotfix that, I dont want to have to buy ANOTHER triumph totem, so for now I'm skipping the totem upgrade.

being in a 10 man guild, with only moderate success, i gotta say it's damn weird getting so many upgrades in 5 man toc. I just can't get over the feeling like i'm a noob all over again, yet i can top out at 5.5k dps... It's just...odd. I know the gear is the same ilvl as 10 man uld, but still.

Icecrown must be a hell of a instance if they're gearing us up this much for it.

Carried a 1.2k dps mage through h.Toc (rest of the group inc. the tank was doing 3k avg.) and he got Boots of the Crackling Flame and Gaze of the Unknown off Black Knight. I was so disgusted I quit before I remembered there was an Abyss Shard to roll on.

Badge gear being loaded up with +hit. Seriously, I am having a ridiculously hard time keeping at/under the hit cap as it is, I don't need badge gear loaded up with it. Makes the majority of it useless to me.
