It might not be the best, but getting 2/4pc can still be a big upgrade even if it's 384 stuff for a lot of people, as well as some of the other gear you can get. It's a pretty big kick to the balls to queue for LFR at 0300 tuesday morning, only to have nothing at 0500 except for a week wait before you can try again.

Even with the nerf, not everyone can run normals either. Either time constraints making people unable to run with a guild, or the good old "LFM DS, going 6/8 PST ilvl and madness achieve" bullshit. Wanna kill everything but deathwing? Must have achieve for killing deathwing. (though why some people wont even attempt 8/8 in a pug is beyond me).

I'm not saying the upgrade can't be decent, but it's WoW, it's not worth stressing yourself over content that will be outdated in a few weeks.

DS and LFR has been around for a lot longer than a few weeks. I agree its not worth stressing over, but some people don't really have other ways to obtain the gear and its their only opportunity to even see the content.

Gear usually goes hand in hand with progress and achievements.

In four months, your gears will be turned into dusts or gold. If this is the kind of grind you enjoy getting stressed over, then by all mean, have fun with it. I'm not going to stop you.

Gears can help progress, but it's very rarely the limiting factor, especially if you're just a "LFR raider" or "pug raider".

Dude, it's the Random Complaint Thread. Someone had a goal they wanted to reach and was cockblocked by a gang of assholes. You ain't gotta be sympathetic but you also don't have to turn it into a pissing match where you shit on their goals and say 'get over it.'

Gear is the only reason why people play this game anymore. It used to not be like that completely 100% but it is now. Most MMOs are that way though, WoW just takes it a step further when every patch replaces 100% of the shit you just spent 6-7months getting.

True. But thanks to transmog getting sets of gear to look cool seems to be my objective recently.

For example, I'm bent on getting both Warrior LFR and Normal Tier13 looks due to the different shading. On my DK I managed to randomly obtain the normal tanking shoulders off morcock, and I've gathered all the materials required to look like a Warrior (by buying the VP Hat, Chest, Hands, Belt, Feet and getting someone to cook the legs for me.

I'm annoyed that I there's no lookalike shoulders for Paladin though. The closest I can somewhat find/reach is the heroic version of the Paladin T11 gear to go along with the rest of the set. But that involves killing Heroic Chimaron.

Yeah Transmog def made it worth saving all your old gear and shit. I just wish they would take away some of the restrictions on it.

People are allowed to complain that they don't get gears. I'm not allowed to complain that all the gears drama in WoW is ridiculous? Make sense.

People's ridiculous objectives is one of the main reason why so many hate the game right now. They set stupid goal that involve dice rolls, and cry when lady luck isn't with them. These players who constantly worry about gears are generally the loudest one, and it's fucking annoying to deal with that every raids, and to a lesser extent, WoW forum.

I remember bitching about T12 and T13 for Dks, because they looked like shit..which they in fact did suck total dick. I didn't save any of those sets. T11 normal/heroic were pretty nice looking though, as were most of the WOTLK sets minus ToC and ICC helms.

And Transmog is piss poor in its current incarnation. All of the restrictions and shit just make it not as much fun as it could be. there's no reason we shouldnt be able to transmog other classes tier from before BC, or legendary weapons, or transmog a sword to look like an axe because the axe you have is cooler looking, or transmog cloth lookalikes to your plate armor because you like how some cloth gear looks over your plate.

Its amazing how much my guild loves to sit around in town and do nothing instead of running old content for shits and giggles/mounts/transmog items and achievements. Then they bitch about how there's nothing to do.
