    Our mage with legendary isn't doing enough dps. Can someone tell me how he should be doing heroic slime, dealing with black adds for example. We kill every mana void btw with the 15% buff.

    Get a dps benchmark on ultraxion, it's a lot cleaner because it's very close to a patchwerk fight for dps.

    I think his single target is ok, I mean it could be better but I can deal with him not being as great as you or me. But his dps should be super high on heroic slime as far as I'm aware, like top two, and he shouldn't be getting beat by a ret paladin as far as I know.

    I think he's around 36-40k on ultrax heroic, I'll run through logs and see if I can post it anyway.

    Here's a log of heroic yorsahj from about 1.5 months ago. This particular instance was 3-healed. Mage in the parse does NOT have legendary, is fairly competent. You can compare his spell breakdowns with this.

    Breakdown for Forgotten One damage:

    Seaborn (Shadow Priest) 20.0 %
    Ritterbait (Rogue) 17.3 %
    Blackkbeard (Fire Mage) 17.1 %
    Unfairbear (Rogue) 16.6 %
    Garglemoth (Warrior) 11.9 %
    Cux (Warlock) 11.1 %

    You kill each mana void when it comes out? Don't if that's the case, save the first one, have everyone pop their mp regen shit, then when another comes out and sucks out everyones mp you kill the first one which you should work down to 15% and dump mp back into all your casters. Black adds should be cake if you have any decent cleave dps in your group like an arms warrior or frost DK. If your mage is fire on that fight he CAN be top of the meters with some lucky procs but ive seen our mages jump to #1 on some fights and then sit at #8 on others behind our ret pallies, arms warriors, warlocks,combat rogues and frost DKs

    It really depends on what he's doing with Combustion. I believe if he saves his first use until the slimes come out, he should have ~10 stacks from his t13. Not only does this cut off 50 seconds from the CD, if you actually get an add phase it's a huge dps increase. I believe this also times it perfectly so his next Combustion will be available around the same time the next oozes come out.

    Sometimes ignite can be a bitch. RNG is pretty RNG-y. But then again if you are working on heroics then your mage should be pretty well geared-ish so his RNG is less RNG-y. Are they consistently under performing on Yoshi?

    What classes are you comparing it too? If you're expecting to get war/dk type aoe numbers out of a mage you're asking way too much.

    I'm comparing it to a ret paladin. Typically our meters are Rogue>Ret>Mage/Hunter/offspecDK, and I just presumed the mage should be higher than the ret. There are times when the mage is 4th or 5th and it just seems odd. He is new to playing fire, but that excuse can only go so far.

    Yes, we kill the void. With the 15% buff it doesn't seem to make too much of a difference or make the fight that much more difficult. We 2heal it and just plow through it. 10man btw.

    And Carnal, Aurik.

    Since I reformatted I didn't run world of logs this week, as I usually junction it to another drive instead of my SSD and just didn't feel like doing it - so slime is already down. I'll run it for ultrax though sunday.

    I'm so glad that the graveyards in WSG and Twin Peaks are easily campable. That was such an awesome move, Blizzard. I'm thrilled that I get to rez and instantly be obliterated a dozen times. That's just awesome fun and totally not allowing people to grief others.

    Hey, they are on a hill now! So now ranged classes can stand behind you and blast at you and melee can all stand in front of you and wait. Much better then before when everyone just stood in one spot!

    Well first off, do you understand the extra orb system they're talking about? You still kill every orb eventually (except generally the last one), it just eliminates like the hardest thing about the fight aside from getting 3 straight ryb.


    Compared to a ret it's hard to say, divine storm is no joke since it hits unlimited targets now.

    Yes, I understand it. This is how we do the fight since many heroic modes are a joke now.

    Some of these posts seem off topic, let me just clarify that we don't have any problems with the fight. The fight is easy. This is not the discussion at hand.

    The problem is our mage seems weak on a fight that I know mages to be strong on. Is there a certain way he and he alone should be handling the black adds. No one else is suffering, we plow through it every week like normal, but the mage seems lackluster since he just recently switched to fire.

    He just recently came back from a month or two break and wasn't present or fire for all of our heroic kills, and now that he is back and fire he just seems weaker than expected. We got a new shadow priest as well, I'm assuming by the log that she should just spam mindsear though.

    LOL they are nerfing DS by ANOTHER 5%? I thought they said they would stop when the content became too easy for most...my fucking RP server guild has Madness Heroic on farm now.. how can other guilds still be having trouble.

    They will nerf it by 5% every 4-5 weeks until 5.0 comes out. Stop being surprised. You are dumb.
