The Saronite set is pretty decent-lookin', and easy/cheap to acquire. I've been using that along with the starter hood.

I've settled on http://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=392 for color and ease of farm. I don't want to have to do anything which requires a raid group because I have enough trouble finding people to run with that aren't tools and I prefer to solo farm. I dig that there's enough purple in this set to satisfy me, plus that's a bright-ass fucking red, which I love. I hate dull reds. I guess I'm a colorist.

I was looking at a few other sets, one of which is purchased mostly with JP except for a few pieces which require ICC runs, as much as I liked the set, I'm not going to rely on going through ICC on a toon that's really not going to ever do any serious raiding so will never really have acceptable enough gear to run it. Honestly, I want my toons to get to 85 and look pretty and grind achievements. And kill people in BGs. Another set I saw was kind of nice and a brilliant purple but skimpy, and try as I might, I'm just not a prepubescent boy wanting to get a hard-on whenever I see my DK in action. Most of the other purple sets were either no longer available or were just plain ugly.

So I guess my army of toons will be a red and purple army, which opens up options further down as I level the others. My guild tabard is staying purple, though.

Was talking to a friend about what he thought of the black market on beta, he told me it's a great idea for gold buyers and rich people. Asked him how much gold he had, and didn't have much at all, but had JC/alchemy and mining/herbing. Which stumped me really. Asked him how he makes gold, replied with "dailies". mfw:

What's Elementium ore/inferno rubies and carnelians go for on your realms? Truth be told I only care about my current realm, and JC/Alchemy here is making me absurd profit. Keep in mind, my friend is also on my realm.

carnelian -> rubies have about a 2% base margin on Kilrogg. JC continues to be shit unless you've got regular pvp customers.

Maybe I'm not understanding you here, but you buy carnelians, transmute them to inferno rubies and then sell them? Sounds like a lousy strategy to me, I don't do that at all. How much are Elementium ore stacks on your realm? I pay around 80g/stack and use practically everything I get from them.

As for gold, I really don't make gold that easily but I also don't really try. I have both of my professions plus all secondaries to max, but I don't worry about it. I farm BC/Wrath dungeons for cloth and make Netherweave and Frostweave bags which generally tend to keep me from running out of gold. If I really wanted to, I could make a fortune, but I'm really lazy about it and gold is secondary to the other stuff I do. If I get it, great, if not, meh, no worries.

Ahh yeah, I'm a big fan of robes. My pvp is a mixup of the starter stuff using the robe from it which I like a lot, and then this is my unholy setup which is by far my favorite of my transmogs so far:

Its posts like that that make me want to make my Paladin a female when I finally do race change to Human. Male looks better in armor, but Female better in robes, and there is quite a bit of robes out there. Not to mention most animations look better as female, and you don't have to deal with the male faces.

yeah, my only complaint about human female that doesn't apply to most of the old races (all the dances are getting really old) is that we have terrible, terrible jokes

I can't stand how bland the human female animations are, honestly. Humans in general are just so damn dull.

Non WoW complaint for the moment, but my damn laptop doesn't have the min specs for D3. Grr.

I find, and have noticed on other forums this topic coming up a lot, that the animations on the female are far superior to the male for 2h dualwield and casting especially.
