Honestly they made this game really easy to not even have a guild. I play for fun, I hate having a schedule so I just don't join a guild. I don't mean to brag but I generally out tank the top end alliance tanks on my server (not the best admittedly). The only problem you really run into is doing 25 mans, especially long ones, 25 man ToC is pugable (at least half of it), but 25 man naxx takes so damn long its hard to ever make it to KT. Hard Mode ToC is impossible to pug (at least for my server) but pugging ulduar hard modes in 10 man is actually very doable with a gear check.

I loved being in a good raiding guild, but I'm enjoying life so much more just doing raids when I want. Also you meet tons of cool people this way! The con is you are like me and have to use a shitty tanking weapon!

^ one thing about wow that ive noticed to me different than ffxi, is when you are in a high end raiding guild (im talking top100) and lower as well, it can feel like a job.

Raiding X days per week for Y hours a night, when most raiding is very repetitive for each class, it becomes work.

My solutions are alts and arena, to break the repetitiveness. It doesn't work for everyone, but pretty much everyone gets burnt out after a while, needs a break, then can jump right back into it.

Dunno bout you but I enjoy my 2 raid day weeks while maintaining a respectable rank, you don't necessarily have to be in a big name guild to be good.

I wouldn't mind A guild that played on PST, I swear to fucking god every guild on Kilrogg (a PST server, mind you) plays from 5pm-9pm my time.

I mentioned raiding X days per week for Y hours a night, most high end guilds are doing 3-4+ day runs with 4hour long raids minimum. It becomes like a job and it gets stressful and you do need to break away from it sometimes.

Also I was speaking top 100, sure you dont have to be in those guilds to think you're good, but at that level it does become joblike.

So last night I was 30 min late for Ulduar 10, because RL got in the way (came home from work to find my sister, who I haven't seen in a few weeks, there visiting my parents. Then after she left, I had promised my close friend I'd call him- wound up on the phone with him for like 45 min because I lost track of time). Logged in to find the Raids Officer flipping out and borderline nerd raging over it. The GM was nice- offered to bump someone out to make room for me (Core raiders/officers get preference for raid spots), which I respectfully declined because I didn't feel it was fair. The rest of the night, the RO refused to talk to me on Vent or in Officer chat, lol. Mature for someone who's almost 40!

And here, I'm the one on the rag this week, and he's the one acting like a little bitch.

Come to Ner'zhul! My guild raids from 6/7 pm PST to usually about 10/11 pm PST (and on weekends we'll wind up going longer- usually until people start nodding off).

310% mounts need to be changed. Getting one should just make it so that any flying mount you get goes 310%. I love my drakes and all, but I'm way too sick of pvp (and have been for years) to keep getting new drakes and frostwyrms, I don't want to play seriously enough to go for the raid ones, and I'd really like to be able to use stuff like the hyppos and whatnot.

I can't stand ret pally's in bg's... after killing them 2X through bubble/lay on hands and then killing you, they gloat like its some form of accomplishment ;/

oh and trying to kill a 28K hp prot/holy pally with argent defender several times is a very painfully slow process

pally and rogues if they get the jump on you are a gigantic pain in the ass. I can't believe blizzard thinks they're balanced in any way shape or form. Let's kick DK in the balls every, single, patch, but hey bubble from pally and rogue stunlock so you cant fight back at all? np.

yeah rogue is pretty gay... I mean you can rape them in seconds if you catch them off guard.. but if they get you... its just a chain of stuns/blind and dead, trinket does nothing really for that unless the rogue is just ...really slow.

Call me back to complain when you see a melee without a pocket healer matching your 70-1 KB/death rates solo in AV, seriously.

And btw, pally gets nerfed every single patch, too, the difference is we've been seeing that like 5x as long now, literally, as DK's.

Argent Defender only returns like 1000 health to a Holy pally.

And the day Paladins are imbalanced is the day one of them wins in the Intel Extreme Masters, the closest one has ever got was going 2-3 on a RMP in their first match as Prot Pally + Resto Druid + Warrior

Protholy pallies atm are running with around 30k unbuffed even with just a so-so setup, while still pushing 3k unbuffed SP. see: The World of Warcraft Armory for a not even all that great example. And that guy is in PvE gear mostly gemmed and enchanted INT (except his pvp pieces), which gives no spellpower benefit to a prot build.


It is kind of broken, because all you do is stack stam stam and more stam (a 30 stam gem gives you 9.x sp...).

On the other hand, it hinges entirely on teammates which are able to live and win high end arena matches with 0 instant healing and 1 second+ cast time heals that crit for 5k tops on an MS'd target.


It doesn't seem overpowered to me, given how much skill that takes to work out in the days of the most retarded damage since ToEP+ZHC stacking got nerfed, but I haven't arenad for a long time.

I can see how being able to stack pure 30stam and get the same spellpower out of gems as another healer stacking pure purple sp+15 stam gems can seem unfair, though.

The amount you get healed by Ardent Defender is based on Defense and Health. I know when running in my Prot PvP gear which is all Gladiator's Scaled my AD only pops for around 1000 Health because I have 0 extra Defense in that gear. So unless a holy paladin is stacking Defense for some reason, it doesn't heal much.

Maybe it seems worse than it is because there's so many. Lately most all the DK have rerolled pally. There are just so damn many of them now. Seems like they popped up overnight. Not that i mind too terribly much. Means the new bandwagon job is pally, and i can go back to trying to give a good name to DK and repair the damage these fucktards have done.
