    Yeah cuz dodge and parry really means jack fucking shit in a rated battleground.


    That may be their reasoning, but if so it's way beyond retarded.


    We don't even fucking want tank stats for tanking stuff that actually melees us from the front anymore.

    The same reason they're still running the game at all. money. if they stop, people won't play. at least if they're trying, people will keep playing out of hope that they might finally learn how to play X class.

    They constantly change pve stuff too, does that mean they should just shut down WoW altogether?

    nono, but afaik theyve never managed to seperate pvp and pve enough for them to work alongside eachother. whenever they buff pve someone cries about it being op in pvp, and when they nerf something in pvp they somehow manage to double-nerf that class in pve. I know its a hard line to walk, just saying if they havent balanced it after this long, maybe they should just freeze it and tackle it some other way.

    A lot of the pve changes are due to pvp though. Trying to balance both aspects will never work for this game, especially when blizzard refuses to make spells operate differently in pvp or pve because they deem the playerbase too stupid to read tooltips and understand why certain spells do less dmg against players compared to npcs.

    The stance buff was a .dat mining error. The only damage buff so far is the RSK buff.
    That sucks, RSK buff is nice but if the shit gets parried in pvp you're fucked till it's off CD.

    pvp works just fine imo. (yes there is unbalance, but not where pvp doesn't work)

    Depends on your opinion of "working," I guess. My pally alt that I literally hadn't touched since WotLK went into do some arenas, 1300 teams had so much un-dr'd cc in 3's that once they got one decent cc to land they could keep me locked up for 20-30 second periods even with half of them overlapping and shit.

    I've had 10v10 games on more than one occasion in randoms where the horde team has 6 or more healers. I've utterly dominated entire 10 man games singlehandedly on a terribly geared paladin where I don't even know what half the spells do anymore and I spend half my time trying to remember which buttons are which by virtue of being literally the only healer in the game.

    RBG's are set amount of heals, tank, fdk, and a bunch of ranged. Cept now it'll be set amount of heals, fury warrior or feral druid, fdk, and a bunch of ranged.

    Arenas 6(?) years after they started are the exact same clusterfuck of mages being retarded and everyone else flying back and forth in massive swings.


    The only thing that "works" about pvp is that they've somehow managed to keep the carrot encouraging just enough people to keep doing it for it to continue to exist.

    And of course wpvp, which is almost entirely based around douchebaggery.

    Just sayin' only other game I had more fun when it came to pvp is warhammer. If you can't handle wow pvp, tough titties imo. It's not perfect, but it's still working and still fun to a lot of people.

    Right, I "can't handle" wow pvp.

    There's actually a f2p game that had the perfect solution for WoW that came out a few years ago called 2moons. Long story short you have your health bar just like wow for pve, and then you had a "shield" bar which was purely pvp. If the pvp shield emptied and they got to your pve hp you died pretty much instantly.

    Unfortunately they made it clear long ago they'll never consider anything that drastic, and when their attempts to use resilience as a similar concept failed miserably they just started using it (and now pvp) as some kind of tuning knob that apparently only has 1 and 11.

    If a horribly broken and imbalanced system is "working" to you, then you're never going to be convinced anything isn't working until it ceases to exist.

    also, you can say that it's just my opinion that it's broken...

    but it's hard to argue that it's not also Blizzard's opinion that it's broken when the next patch is in line to completely eliminate a stat from gear, virtually eliminate an entire set of specs from rated, make a dramatic shift in battle fatigue so they can double the effect of pvp power for healers, and oh yeah completely eliminate the gear curve and higher quality rated gear as well as completely eliminating the vast majority of the gear in the game from pvp usage outside wpvp



    it's a quite simple question, if things aren't broken why do they have to be fixed constantly, and if it's not badly broken, why are the changes giant game changing sweeps of entire systems rather than slight tweaks for balance?



    and lest we forget that the last 2 patches have involved major attempts to turn at least some portion of wpvp into an organized and meaningful thing to do instead of random douchebaggery, and both have failed on massive levels... while the next one will put it in probably the worst state it's been in since vanilla


    enjoy doing your dailies with 547 weapons smashing your face and the person having just as much resil as you

    51 ilvl will be no big deal, right?
