Why the fuck does magma totem not claim mobs you don't hit. GDI. I don't even think it shows up in my DPS unless I act on a mob (in an aoE fight).

Pretty sure there isn't a totem out there that will tap mobs for you, otherwise a shaman could basically just drop a totem in a pack of mobs and loot everything after it's all done.
Yeah I learned that the hard way. We have like no AoE for farming, shit sucks balls.
if you drop a magma and it hits a mob it will crush it and come running for you, or do you mean that if you fight multiple mobs with magma, they keep bashing you?
they changed that in 3.2 cause mobs kept destroying it rendering it totally useless in solo situations.
and when it comes to aoe, I guess this is as good as it will get (patch 3.3)
[Fire Nova Totem]: This totem has been replaced with a new spell, [Fire Nova], which is available at the same ranks as the old Fire Nova Totem. Existing characters will automatically learn this new spell in place of the totem. With a Fire Totem active, shamans will be able to use Fire Nova (fire magic) to emit the same area-of-effect damage as the old Fire Nova Totem from the active Fire Totem, not consuming the totem in the process. Fire Nova will activate a 1.5-second global cooldown when used and has a 10-second spell cooldown. The caster must be within 30 yards of the totem to use this ability, but does not need to be within line of sight of the totem.
I really hope fire nova the spell will claim mobs. I like to round up 8 mobs and heal spam while my totems kill them, but to be able to get drops/exp I need to chain lightning and hit each mob once myself to do so, it's annoying. If my class is AOE capable I like to AOE...
Today's Naxx25 pug: 0 Grim Toll drops
On KT: Mage is discovered AFK in Dalaran, Lock drop stone and the guy doesn't accept, RL says 'fuck it, pull'. Phase 1 mobs spawn, Mage accepts the summon.
We practically 18-manned it. Later the Mage sends me whispers about 'lol did I do that?' Made me with for a real life Murder Button.
Got booted from the first TotGC10 attempt because I'm a druid, and so is the raid leader, and optimal group setup did not have room for two.I know it made more sense to have druid + priest + pally for heals, and then pick our highest DPSers, but damn if it didn't sting like a bitch anyway, taking my attendance, performance and general involvement with the guild into consideration.
2 druid is fine IMO, as long as different spec
my raid set up has 2 holy paly even lol
sv hunter
fury war
ret pally
destro lock
feral & resto druid dual spec
shadow&holy priest dual spec
holy pally
holy pally
DK tank
war tank
we only use either resto druid or holy priest as 3rd healer for twin valk, whichever they feel like playing.
I see nothing wrong with 2 druid, (resto+boomkin or resto+feral is still a win combo)
We're both resto. His offspec is beartank, not geared for TotGC. My offspec is boomkin, and my DPS isn't really high enough for TotGC (3k abouts), doubly so when our main spec DPS players can push 7k easy.
Elemental Shaman dps. Which is why my Mage is soon going to be my main. :3
well.... guild leader and officers decided that they're not going to play cataclysm and the guild is disbanding after WoLtK contents are finished....
guess i'll better starting to find a future guild >.>
Wiped to Hodir 3 times in a row today.
And then kicked this guy from my guild

Healing shaman, who got frozen every single time on Hodir after he complains 10 minuets before that he thinks he is to good to be there on a gearing run for people.
(Dead people = pulling when both healers are afk! :<)
HAHA! The only person who has the right to complain about Hodir is the Resto Druid solo healing a bunch of retarded dps who let Biting Cold (or whatever it's called) stack to about 4~5 before moving. Yes, let's make my life easy and take 50~80k of biting cold damage!
Grats on getting rid of a shitty healer though.
win 3 arena matches. lose 1 match. total: 0 points gained
anyone mind telling me how the hell arena points are randomly generated upon wins/losses?
You have 3 ratings: team rating, personal rating, and matchmaking rating.
Ignore personal rating. It's meaningless, just there to make it so you can't just join an 1800 team and buy weapons.
Team rating is also fairly meaningless in terms of how you're matched up and rewarded after a match, once you're close to your mmr.
Your mmr is the important one (it's shown only on the score screen at the end of a match.)
When you first start, you have a MMR of 1500. Therefore the game will match you up against other people with a 1500 mmr, even if you have 0 rating and personal rating. Your MMR will fluctuate a lot at the start, and then steady. Your team and personal ratings will skyrocket until you reach about 200 points below your MMR. Then it gets nice and grindy for you.
At that point, the only way to get any of your ratings to go up is to consistently win against teams with higher MMR than yours, and stop losing to people with lower.
In short, let's say you were 1500 when you went 3-1 and gained no points. What happened is you got matched up against 3 teams with, say, 1350 mmr, and beat them all. Then you got matched up against a team with 1450 mmr, and lost. Nowhere in that process did you do something to imply you're over a 1500 team, so your rating doesn't go up overall.
...my GM just basically said, "I'm leaving, find a new GM, gl!" out of the fucking blue.
-.-
FUCK HAVING TO GEM EXPERTISE
Waiting days just for a guild to say "Sorry, one of our members is rerolling, declined!". Time to start applying to several at once methinks.
What the fuck at this Alliance Battlegroup. Spend hours waiting for a bloody BG and then it's over in 2min because we're outnumbered 3:1.
