I know, that's why it's a complaint, they don't understand that![]()

Oh, my bad
I thought you had to stand on it too...the very first time we did it. Then I took like 15k damage to the face and never did it again![]()
I wasn't on the ice the first time and noticed the effect where the ice spikes up and figured it would be bad to stand over
Edit: we won yay, new shoulders that aren't those silly trollwoven things for my rogue <3
I did 2600 on the boss in UK that's 2 mobs for blade flurry yesterday...
On a level 70 rogue I literally had not touched for about 2 years.
If you can't pull 2k overall in heroics, you really need to find some advice on what the hell to do with your class. Even the most undergeared fresh 80 should have no problem whatsoever pulling 3.5-4k on trash packs, and at least 2.5 on bosses, probably a decent bit more.
Depending on the encounter. Keristrasza is going to give lower DPS numbers if you do the fight "correctly"![]()
Not if you're a melee
If you're a class with some build-up time (which I suppose really only means Shadow Priests and Affliction Warlocks?), trash DPS can be deceptive. Of course, that's why Mind Sear is my favorite trash spell and a frequent reason why tanks give me the evil eye.
It's entirely possible to do Heroic Halls of Reflection with 3 DPS classes totaling about 9k DPS between them. The first room is really more a test of your healer's endurance and your tank's competence than of pure DPS. The race is definitely harder if your DPS is lacking, but it is by no means necessary to have people at ICC25 gear levels to clear it. I do wish they'd made it more like Magister's Terrace, though, in that it is real hard rather than just a gauntlet. Nothing about Wrath has really struck me as compellingly hard or strategic, though, except the Faction Champions.
I like to think Saurfang is pretty well designed.
healer missing from our 10 man tonight, bring in a shaman to sub that's theoretically a good player, he dies to spikes and doesn't hero for a good 20 seconds after we say to, when we had a dps or 2 down from retarded shit, no 258 cloak ><
still fucking using 213 cloaks for prot and holy and 200 for ret, so retarded
lol, in 1 week im more geared then my 25man hard mode geared DK was when I quit. Made a new account and everything, gg blizz gg.
"KILL BONE SPIKES FASTER" "God just stop healing people if they're not killing spikes"
How about getting people to not stand 45 yards away where it takes me 6 seconds to even REACH the spike, hurrrrrrrrrrr
For the love of...
"Hmm maybe we should put two (identically specced mut) rogues on deathwhisper to help knock down the mana when ranged has to switch to handle fanatics"
Me- "Um, if I may suggest...I can provide bleeds for keeping HfB up and the other rogue may be useful helping tricks stray adds back onto tanks. Ferals have really bad ramp up time switching targets around, the less of it we have to do the better."
(not even missing a beat)
"Ok so the two rogues on deathwhisper and everybody else split up for adds"
Fuck this raid leader I swear.
I don't even care whether or not she acts on the idea, it's the simple fact that I get perpetually treated like some idiot dps who doesn't know how to do anything other than PUSH BUTTAN MAKE DAMEG that kills me. A simple "I'm not sure about that, and I feel more comfortable with the rogues" would suffice.
Hopefully the guild I app'd to with an open feral spot will get back to me soon so I can get out from under this halfwit's thumb ><
Edit: The best part is she's a fucking DRUID who claims she can do 5k kitty dps with a half-baked not-tank-not-dps spec, she just never gets to cause she's one of our better healers.
yeah, what's most disgusting about it is that if we hadn't had our good feral on his hunter alt (which... a brez would've made the difference, but I digress), we probably would have left on the spot with anub sitting up and 49 attempts left, because nobody gives a fuck about anything else in there
also about bone spike--
let your ranged know that if you stand extremely close to him, the fire won't hit you
it's only when you stand "close" but not "real close" that the fire is a problem
The fire isn't the problem, it's that people are using the design on the ground to position and not doing it intelligently relative with the boss. The end result is that it's a 3-4 sec jaunt to reach anyone who's spiked outside the immediate melee group and getting from one spike to the next is often another 4-6 sec.
But rather than get on them for making it harder than it has to be, she yells at us for not killing them sooner.
And you can't cluster up under him unless you like the whole raid taking like 25k damage right off the top when the spikes are fired.
Edit- And I've heard talk that coldflame will start pegging tanks if you don't have at least some certain number of people at range, like Vezax shadow crashes et al.
Mild complaint here but out of 10 runs through reg. ToC and the new ICC 5 mans, not one piece of healy shammy gear dropped. I got some Elemental/Enh gear but I srsly do not fucking care about that, I want to run heroics on my shaman gdi.
