I'm not sure who to loathe more right now. My "guild" that has a habit of excluding me from raids because the leaders are blind, deaf, and retarded (they wipe a lot, anyhow, I'm probably going to quietly /gquit very soon) or the PUG jackasses who cannot even say, "Sorry, we need Holy, not Discipline" after I'm the one who made a point of asking which was needed. Has common courtesy disappeared or am I delusional in believing it ever existed in the first place?

I had two great PUG earlier this week. It was my first time doing ToC and ICC, and unlike most pugs, they were relatively nice and helpful. Hell, I never get invited to raid when I say it's my first time, and people are even less forgiving if I manage to get in usually and not do it perfectly on my first attempt (I'm not talking about wipe).

It renewed my faith with the average WoW players.

Doing random dungeons while leveling an ally toon is fun, I love all the ppl that join up then go afk and put /follow on a party member to soak up xp, or rogues needed on 2 handed polearms because "omg ill be so rich". 9_9

I honestly think it's bullshit and bad design that someone who has done the quest on a unique item like that can still get it, or even see it. You should just auto pass like you do on the unique bag and shit.

Shit needs to be BoP and drop a little more often. The abuse of the marketability of the thing is absurd.

It was the same thing back with Quel'Serrar, only difference was that only two classes wanted that sword and one of them was Alliance-only and not very well thought-of. By making a weapon that is competitive with the current normal mode raids available for the low low price of a fully-upgraded Kirin Tor ring and without raiding, well...

The new Quel sword is an ugly addition to the game.
The whole concept fails, being it a terribly rare drop ( that's sellable in AH, how epic ) and then a retarded and short series of quests that don't even require you to clear any HC or raid.
The item by now is merely a stupid lottery or a free epic for 14 yrs old gold buyers at best.

They should have made the Hilt relatively "common" and then have players work their ways to the completed sword in like a week or two, gathering quest items inside HCs, spending golds or even doing some difficult achievement.

Given the sword will be pure crap in a few months, I took absolutely no pleasure in forging it, nor it was the quest line epic or long. It took me like 2 hours to obtain something that was supposed to "mean" something, just because I won a Need roll on an item I saw dropped like 2 times on 60 runs

I have mixed feelings about the new Quel sword; the 10k+ prices it commands buys more significant upgrades in other slots on my level 80s who don't have better gear by now so I'm not really in a position to covet it at market prices. The new 5-man heroics drop very good gear for every class and you definitely don't need Quel to do them, so just get Zen, don't crave the sword and realize that you're getting showered with free gear from the parties grinding the heroics to farm hilts. If you max out on ICC5 gear, start pugging ToC25/ICC10 and forget you ever wanted the thing in the first place.

Same. That's why I quit FFXI. I don't do that stuff in WoW and while it may slow me down a bit, it doesn't stop me from reaching my end result.

I got lucky though and got one running random on my mage, set for gold for quite a while heh.

There was just no way they were going to leave poisons alone. At least we have 2pct10 by now and that'll make the nerf less painful.

I dunno, I'm all for huge dps for a dps class, but when a subparly geared rogue is doing about the same as a nicely geared rogue and they are topping charts by a looong shot opposed to other pure DPS classes, it's like hmm...
