Dual Layer recording issue

First time recording with a dual layer for a 8.5 gig file of mine. Used both IMGBurn and Nero Express but it keeps giving an error at 50% and stops burning.

Used Memorex DVD R+ DL discs for this. My recorder does support recording dual-layer.

Any ideas? The file seems fine for others so I doubt that is the problem.

IMGBurn is incredible for burning discs, what's the error you see? Which specific burner are you using and are there any firmware updates available?

It really sounds like your burner doesn't support it properly. Is this a 360 disc? Might have something to do with the boundaries between layers (is this set properly?)
