I was going to bring up the election vote results with Texas, but then you really can't claim progress just because the state voted more Democratic in the last election than they ever had, for one because the older people who voted democratic were likely run ragged on Bush politics and will vote republican again in the next presidential election, and secondly because of these results:
Local Exit Polls - Election Center 2008 - Elections & Politics from CNN.com
Notice how the vote for Obama came from a group made up of a majority of African American, Hispanic, and young white women (well, duh). We have largely to thank the young college students and African American residents of Texas, who showed up in greater number this past year than in many previous, for these results. Which is certainly a wonderful change but doesn't exactly say that people like the gentleman this thread is about have progressed any...although hopefully this trend sticks enough so that we have a more pronounced democratic voice, and therefore a more even battlefield, here in Texas.
Also what the hell at blue for republican and red for democratic.
I noticed during the election that young voters were more likely to vote blue, and old voters were more likely to vote red.
Has this been a trend over the past several elections? (This one is the first one I've followed - I was about 10 years old for Bush jr's 1st campaign).
So you agree with me but you won't admit because going to hell is just not your cup of tea? Apology accepted.
I lived in Sugarland outside of Houston for about a year during highschool and TX does have some strange weather. It was like 45F in the morning then getting to 70F+ during the day before dropping back to 50F at night.
please explain how i am in denial about going to hell when the current concept of hell was stolen from the Norse goddess Hel? Or when the closest thing to an actual description of hell in the earlier sections was actually referring to a garbage dump where people dumped bodies after they murdered them? So really it's the ancient equivalent of saying mobsters are probably gonna get cement shoes in the Hudson river.
Also apology for what? You're the one claiming I'm going to go to hell.(which is ironic since I'm gonna guess you're an atheist) I bother agreeing with you and you try to attack me for it?
liveblogging has started, has pictures too, not updated frequently though.

Pretty much, lol.
Check out Kansas:

The far top right red one is southern Kansas City, the one next to that is Lawrence (KU, hippie town), and I have no idea what the south one is.
I really don't comprehend the rationale of constituents in southern states like kansas and others.
"Hey, I don't care whether the economy is in shamble and that I foreclosed on my house, lost my job and most of 401k, and will probably work until I am 75 as a walmart greeter, as long as the gays can't get married and women have a babe every time they are sexed, I will be voting republican."
One hella job!
Texas Education Agency - Welcome to the Texas Education Agency
you can listen to it there
hopefully they'll post the audio feed up later... freaking work meetings and midterms -.-
The audio feed is terribly depressing, I just listened to a zoology PhD state that the complexity of DNA does not support evolution and "there needs to be work at the textbook level."
There is some seriously staggering stupidity on display.
edit: Oh just noticed this zoology guy was part of the "academic freedom" language in louisiana.
