I just have a hard time choosing cause I have both RNG and COR. So its either make a great piece for 2 jobs, or a great piece for one job. Unless I wanna use Trueflight more on RNG

Usually when im cor for any events, im with the rangers so my racc is fine since ill use hunters roll, and really with the amount of racc/rattk gear COR as now, I dont see why cors think they cant shoot for TP and WS for dmg on end game mobs now.

I always assumed it came down to the high upkeep prices on always shooting Steels... unless you either:

A. Shoot Irons for TP -> WS Steel
B. Use Leaden where you can shoot TP in Irons/Steels and WS in bronze.

The costs can easily overtake Ranger costs.... but thats why Corsair is still the rarest job in the game i guess.

P.S: Make some fucking affordable ammo SE.

Exactly my philosophy too. I used to carry around my leftover irons(I had 10 pouches left when steel came out >_<) to macro in for Leaden Salutes and to TP with when I'd /WHM but I don't even bother with the extra wasted space to save me a tiny bit of gil.

Even though I've got RNG leveled as well I feel my COR is more important so I'm probably going to end up going QD and MAB, any other combination just gimps the potential for both my RNG and my COR since it wouldn't be dedicated. I'll just stick with my Denali Jacket for RNG and enjoy a fucking awesome QD piece for my COR.

(By the way, I shoot for TP endgame as much as I can, and I'll do the QD Mirke until someone does parses or whatever showing WS one would be way better, then I'll switch)

Why wouldn't you ws on kb/faf/nid? Kb is weak at fuck and you can open light on fafhogg. Of course solo you wouldn't ws.

I still think setting up the armor for QD is more beneficial than WS, but don't downplay the significance of WS's.

Ugh... better than /whm and /nin at least, but you should only ever need to /dnc if the party setup is sub-par or your healer sucks.

If you're putting up that kind of damage you're obviously far far better geared and merited than most Cors I've partied with. That maybe the problem I guess but really most Cors do about 1/3 the damage of a regular DD unless they're giving stuff like hunters rolls. As for Dnc I've seen a Cor/Dnc heal about 66% of what a Rdm was doing freeing him up for more healing and an easier haste cycle. I don't have the parse saved any more but we were doing about 23k/hr in MJSP so hardly a bad set-up.

Edit: I was cycling in Evoker's so had a decent amount of Slugs with no Chaos, and was getting double March, not that I think about it that might've done it.

Opted with RACC+10 and Quick Draw-5 since I was planning on leveling Ranger anyway; I wanted something that could cover both jobs.

Slight derail but what kind of numbers do you CORs average with Slug Shot on stuff like Odin and Ixion? Assuming a BRD is in your pt. I find it hard enough to hit shit without Hunter's roll as it is for TP gain, even with Sushi. ><

I would like to think I have good gear, but I find it really hard to hit shit like Odin/Ixion etc without Hunter's Roll, Sushi, and /rng. Granted I have 0 Marksmanship merits, but D: Anyway, your damage output?

edit: Swap out one of the rings for Rajas Ring and the leg piece for Commodore Culottes and you have my Slug Shot build. For Detonator I use a Flame Ring and Alkys, but I've found out that Slug seems to do better as I can hit about ~550 on Odin with it. I wanna know how I can push it higher.

For myself, since I already have a denali jacket for ws and I use joytoy to get tp, so instead of putting racc and snap shot on it I put qd - 5 and matk +4 on it.

I tested it in ballista with my ls last night and it's amazing.

It will definitely helps to reduce the solo time require for JoF as well.

How often do you miss slugs? Honestly, I got sick of the hit rate. I can get Deto pretty reliably over 1000 dmg (more on birds) sub rng.
I have a feeling that Deto may have the same acc bonuses as 1 hit too, so I'm sure I could sub war for the epeen...

Are you using martial? Never really found slug acc to be that bad; it parses around 91-93% usually with /rng meat or /war sushi. I do like detonator for odin/ixion, though.

personally i like the upgrade of Abilitys alot like Snapshot on RNG is great The Quickdraw would be a great Benifit to anyrng but if u have a RNG 75 also id prolly go with the First option of Acc n Att on it but That would be me i like to benifit in most ways for each job
