Details: Accused a non-rival linkshell (as in, his own shell) of being 'too damn slow' and 'wasting his time' fighting Adamantiose. Further went on to state that his LS was 'holding' lambton worm because 'they kept turning around instead of just killing the damn thing christ ban the chucklefucks already'
GM comment: I'm just ignoring this guy from now on.

SE tends to repeat the rules before bans.... the Salvage dupe and RMT activities come to mind.

In both cases we had a repeat of the standard rules with a few tweaks then bans were handed out on violators.



We've been over this one before.... SE doesnt care. If they want to hammer the windower community they will and they'd simply say they were sweeping out those dreaded 3rd party app users. The salvage shitstorm should have shown people that they just dont give a fuck when the bans start being handed out.

If they banned windower users, would the community take a huge blow imo? Yeah. Would the game end for SE and the majority of console users? Nope. It isnt like they haven't fiercely defended the secrets of the game.... why would they care if they nuked all the people who try to reverse-engineer it?

There were 450 perma bans from the dupe glitch across all servers. I can probably name 200+ people on my server alone who use windower. I dont foresee SE hunting windower users down, considering the dupeglitch did have adverse affects on the game, however its going to be like Striker said: first rule of Fight Club.

dont go around commenting how you can see everyones TP or other stupid shit like that, and you should be fine.

Controlling a player character through use of a program or machine that is not officially sanctioned by Square Enix.

A friend of mine built a motorized lego thing to repeatedly press a button, and chip-clips the ctrl button down when he has to AFK while BRDing. Guess that's out now.

This game has a wonderful feature that real life lacks in terms of offensive people- the blacklist. If you don't like what someone says, just fucking blacklist them. Oh what I would give to be able to blacklist some of the gay retarded crippled fat spic squatters in the real world.....

I love SE's redundancy combined with contradiction. No holding monsters! But wait, we put in rage timers to prevent just this sort of thing from happening. You're depriving others of game experience! But we still have non forced-pop NMs.

As for the added language related to third party programs....this combined with the salvage bans makes me wonder if we've all been on double-secret probation this entire time....quick! Before they smash all the liquor!

I loled. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they banned people using windower.

It's basically the same thing. Read between the lines, and don't be surprised if a bunch of peeps login to LM-17s one day. They made a 1st party windower (even though it sucks), they also made macro books probably to counteract the use of spellcast and the like. Windower is third party and you can be banned for it. Maybe they're just giving one last warning in the form of notices like this to ditch it before it's too late!

In regards to the examining thing. SE should remove the message "You examine so-and-so" and "So-and so examines you." When you inspect people in WoW and other MMOs there aren't any messages like that. Why is that a helpful feature at all? Get rid of it, less people will be emo, and less JPs will be anal about being examined.
