Looking for a new AIM client

For some reason my DeadAim client no longer works and I can't figure out why, so I guess it's time to update it. I've tried Pidgin and didn't really like it, same with Trillian. Are there any other decent ones?

I use the old old one, i hate the new one. only reason why I have the new one is because the old one doesn't support webcam.

Pidgin is ftw, and yeah, it was pretty nice when it was GAIM but it's gotten significantly better since.

It's wonderful that it integrates with the shitty IBM SameTime I have to use for work, as well as AIM.

Alright, new problem. Whenever I try to install a new aim client and then open it I get this error - http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/5051/afsafafsfas.jpg

Once this pops up, it instantly freezes and I can't do anything but CAD it.

Should have been specific, I got a hold of a cracked version of MM which is just like DeadAim but much better in everyway but it requires the last 5.# aim version to be installed. 6.0+ is indeed shit but I'm not using it. and never will.

Yes. I have a copy of that installer. When I install it, everything is fine and fantastic, until I try to run it, in which case that error I posted pops up and freezes the program and I have to close it. And I have absolutely no idea whats causing it. It just started appearing today out of the fucking blue when I tried to open aim this morning, which lead me to post this thread. But now when I uninstall/reinstall I'm still getting it.

CCleaner and scan your registry for errors. Try reinstalling after that.

Remove AIM from your start up programs to remove that error message popping up when you install a new client. C-cleaner is good for this(and getting rid of porn.)

Pidgin > any other clients. Trillian Astra is nice looking, but it's still too buggy.
