Yeah, the new Wii one is apparently going to be a REALLY BIG DEAL but it's probably going to take a bit longer.

I've always loved the Zelda games, but it will be a welcome change for the franchise. Each game always has a new theme / object that it's centered around... but the basic formula has been the same since the N64 game (really before that, but i'll start there since it was their move to 3D).

This, one thousand, billion times over, Oracles of Seasons/Ages were fucking epic and some of the best games I have played to date on any system.

Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, there is nothing bad in any of these games, they were all amazing, prove me wrong and I'll give you a cookie or something.

That being said, afk eating all the cookies. Nintendo seriously would benefit to just repeat that same formula again and just expand on that with the touch screen.

You know what? I wonder how many people actually realize how much of a hand Capcom had in Oracle of Seasons/Ages, or that those games even exist. Do yourself a favor, right now if you don't; go download them and play them both. There's a very good reason for playing both, and they're not just 'omg different pokemans colors' either. Not even close.

That's why I hated TP so much, was like OoT all over again but shitty

I like when Nintendo does new stuff, no reason to make the same game over and over again, MM and WW went in totally different directions and they both are great games, I'm hoping the next big Zelda game will be something completely different then what we are used to. Anyways Spirit Tracks will probably just be PH with a train so whatever.

Wouldn't it be more difficult to use the dpad and buttons to move/fight, then switch to stylus when using items? You'd have to hold the DS a certain way, then grab the stylus and hold it a different way to use the touchscreen, then put down the stylus and go back to holding it the first way. There's too much of a delay when doing that.

It's a lot more fluid to use the touchscreen for items if you're already using it to move/fight.

I really liked PH though, I also really liked the Phantom Temple. Once you get further in, each floor is like 20 seconds long, plus its really fun figuring out all of its secrets. At least to me.

Guess you guys keep a bottle of alcohol hand cleaner by you while you play your DS in public. Why didn't I think of that.

    Except you wouldn't need to move your hands at all;

    d-pad: movement

    L: sword

touchscreen: equipped sub-weapon / interact with objects

There's less delay with this setup, since you don't constantly need to switch between moving and attacking with the same input, or deal with touchscreen input lag from those actions. You would also be able to move and use sub-weapons at the same time, unlike with PH controls.

Don't even bother; think about it, you are arguing with people who walk around in public with a damn Gameboy (grow up...) and play a lame kid's Zelda in public. I know, the women just love it, right !?

OOOOO ITS ZELDA ON A TRAIN, I'VE NEVER BEEN LAID!!!

More like you are arguing with people that refuse to learn to play their own game, sorry your D-pad doesn't work but there is nothing wrong with the stylus controls except maybe when you sit there and bitch every time you put the pen to the screen and scream how they raped your Zelda

Meh, I didn't like Phantom Hourglass that much. I was hoping if SE released another Zelda on DS it'd play similar to the Link to the Past.

A Wii one would be nice to since Twilight Princess was pretty cool.
