I would upgrade mage before warriors. The AoE ice freeze thing is just too useful when you're defending or stealing the princess. I can never hit anyone with the upgraded warrior's charged ability, so it seems pretty useless to me.

worker is the biggest upgrade, then priest, then archer, and mage is basically a sidegrade

Musket isn't really an upgrade from the bow but being able to switch weapons and shoot faster definitely is

Off of 6 strait wins for the red team, we lose one game after a 30 minute match. Some guy bitches, says how much the red team sucks, and switches teams. I left...

The Mage upgrade is indeed an upgrade. Remember that you can use Ice to extinguish your teammates, and fire to unfreeze them. You can play a very powerful support mage if you don't suck.

Additionally, the Ranger upgrade also gives you a significant boost to castle defense. It causes the torches to light, which boost damage output immensely.


But yes, in the long run, Worker/Priest are the best upgrades, with Warrior being the worst, especially in lag-heavy environments.

The castle (and sometimes areas around it) has a bunch of torches. When the Ranger upgrade is built, these light. Touching a sword/spear/bow/gun to the torch will ignite the weapon for approx. 1 minute, making it do considerably more damage.

Due to the short time it lasts, this is generally only useful for defending the castle.

unless your enemy has it upgraded, then sit next to it on the ledge with an archer and just fire away, good many kills that way

Ice is not an upgrade to Fire. Being burnt either makes people run for water or does 1.5 hearts of damage. Being frozen doesn't last that long against other PCs, so you can't freeze lock them like you can AI players. And not only does the Ice spell not do any damage other than the initial, being frozen makes you invincible.

They're both useful for different things, but I find myself sticking to Fire Mage unless I'm trying to defend the castle (funfact: AoE Ice puts bombs out similarly to how AoE Fire lights them)

Edit: Does Fed Zeppelin have to be in a Rescue match? I used the catapult to kidnap a princess in Snatch and Grab and didn't get the trophy.
