What sucks is the game doesn't show your KD, it just shows your points.. Which is stupid because now that everyone sees that mage gets a lot of points for freezing people, a lot of people are going mage to just point whore... Where mage (spec. ICE) seemingly is a princess defending job. When you are frozen, you seem to be invulnerable for damage, so they're wasting their time spamming ice.. However, having 6000+ pts fairly quickly is appealing. NEEDS NERF.

Anyway, for the achievement just hang back with archer/bow and full charge your shots. Stay close/near an outpost that you won't lose (one near your castle) so you can give yourself a quick heal.

Yeah, you're probably right. After being able to get into more than one match, it seems difficult, and you'd probably have to be a bit of a cheap-ass, but doable.

Villagers in their own base die pretty fast if we sit by and take it for a bit for the 88 kills.


The Tribes player in me somewhat wishes we could demolish the enemies upgraded buildings.

yeah, I kept trying to destroy catapults with the bombs the upgraded worker factory dispenses, but it doesn't work.

speaking of which, those things kill more teammates than they do enemies. just wait until some moron drops one and sets off a chain reaction, or the enemies use them when they come for the prisoner. it's awful.

Given the developers intend to add DLC to the game, I'm hoping the first batch are on the freebie side. Would make the $15 for the game more justifiable, and won't split the player-base up based on who purchased what.

Game could really use some dedicated servers though, expecting your average Joe to have a net capable of handling 24-32 players is crazy. I consider my net fairly damn good yet the game only allows me to host for 12 max for some stupid reason.

Well maybe if Sony ever finalizes PSN for PCs maybe but unfortunately I don't see it happening (especially since they've only said VIAOs are what they're aiming at.)

Art style reminds of a bit of Castle Crashers big plus. Is there a decent story with similar humor as the trailers? Probably going to end up buying it anyways, since well $14.99 for a game I've heard nothing bad about except for the server issues, pretty good deal.

There's not really a story other than a 7-chapter basic premise that explains the whole cake ordeal, which involves doing 6 games to finish.

I'm currently going to wait for a patch before I bother hopping onto random games, it's depressing always ending up on hosts filled with bots and only 2-3 other actual players.
(not to mention said players not having mics also, grrr)

The last SP mission is a nightmare. The AI is pretty stupid when it comes to anything but mobbing the princess, so you basically have to commando your way in solo and hope the lava covers your escape.

I think my favorite job now is the basic warrior/shield. Was doing some matches with Izembo and Kwijimbo (and someone else), and they were primarily sticking to archers. I'd just L1 with the shield, block the arrows, and pillage through about 3 of em before I died. The small 4-8 player games are fun because they can go pretty fast, as opposed to the 20-30 player games where you may never save the princess. Wish I had a mic, but my headset disappeard.

The last SP mission is a nightmare. The AI is pretty stupid when it comes to anything but mobbing the princess, so you basically have to commando your way in solo and hope the lava covers your escape.

The AI overall was a nightmare on that map. Was hard enough to get 3 AI to follow me (green exclamation point) and actually get inside of the damn catapult (half of the time I went in it they prairie-danced around and decided to head south towards the gate instead), and when I actually did get them in the catapult, the second we landed in the enemy castle they'd take off in every direction, rather than keeping with me like they should to assist me with the fricken' princess.

Was also that map with the water tides where the AI would sometimes just.......sit in the water and let the tide come in and drown them. At least they know how to build/upgrade stuff, since I like to focus on farming materials and not have to worry about running back to upgrade hat-shops/build catapult.

I recall hearing 'girls' with the line Priran. So that either means I'm deaf, or announcer may say something different based on the gender being slaughtered most in the base.

ladymorrigan is my wife, so she'll prolly be around a lot as well when i am, and i agree the small games are some of the most fun

Has anyone managed the Gladiator trophy yet? I can barely make it past round 7/8 on most of the classes.

You know, I'm starting to think the online issues is a classic case of majority-of-hosts-behind-firewall, and that the game doesn't have any work-arounds programmed in for that issue to dodge needing ports opened manually.

This game is hilarious lol. I wish you could turn off bots though they are useless. I could solo 2 warriors with the healer... Also wish they had put in more maps since the game took so long but I bet they want to charge for them. Love going into the enemy base grabbing the bombs and spamming them for like 10 kills. Glad to know it wasn't just me. After over an hour of trying everything I could think of I gave up and turned it off and went to sleep. I'll try it again today.

Last one was easy for me, just had to get like.. i went in warrior and just wrecked people while the 2 people i got to follow me carried out the princess.

lol, I cleared the last SP mission in like 10 minutes. Upgrade the Catapult, spam up on the control pad to get a mini army, and just pop in their base. Grab princess, jump into the pipe on the right, win. The computer sucks at defending their base.

Additionally, if you're getting overwhelmed against the computer, drop the princess. They immediately stop attacking you and pick it up, making them all easy kills.

I love bombs that drop out of the worker machine but it's annoying when your teammate decides to self sabotage and use the bombs to destroy your own gate.
