Good stuff for whm, although I hated healing on Sch so the changes don't bother me. I hope they do something for blms, because that's definatly been one of the more ignored jobs in terms of new stuff (riding the ignore train with rdm) since the game came out. At least rdm stuff didn't get nerfed, we're in the negatives in terms of useful updates.
Thank you SE for fixing my job! I can finally say I wanna play this thing again! Wahoo!
Also, not skimming through 10 pages cause I dunno if it's been said yet but uhhh
Sublimation in theory should totally charge Misery, making both new Job Abilities extremely viable. This is AWESOME.
It only took 5 years...
I'll keep my jaded cynicism until SE stops listening to the mouth-breathing morons who want front line updates for RDM.
Until they negate the usefulness of wands and staves, melee enhancements are as useful as tits on a boar for anything that matters, and I will be damned if I watch the opportunity to make RDM more fun for the actual content in the game slip by so that someone can melee in a merit party or farm a little faster.
More or less correct answer. I am surprised people thinking SCH replacing BLM especially in major endgame. If not my previous idea of a JA stacking damage then prolly rewrite IV/AM2 to a better effect. If you make BLM more mp efficient than SCH then SCH just becomes a healing SMN.
The only thing SCH is in need of is a better revision of Helix. The formula it uses is rather fail in regards to mobs with high INT. Other than that, I don't care for Haste/Refresh/Regen anymore since thats too much. The scan spell would be nice though just for looks >> lol
But yes, again: PUP A.I fix, BLM JA addition of some kind like the past several job updates, AVATARS ahhh {with this new healing, SMN is pretty much screwed out of this so only hopeful they get these this update}. RDM... meh, at the risk of causing another locked topic in regards to it I'll just say I hope whatever they do to them doesn't make them feel justified to melee at EVERY given chance and be unable to do their duties.
Sorry to ask but what does that mean.
SMN seems more ignored than BLM...
2006:
"Here, have some new avatars..."
"When"
"Soon..."
2007:
"Hey, we're introducing Odin and Alexander"
"Sweet, I can't wait, SMNs need some love"
"Ohh... they won't be obtainable by players"
2008:
"Hey, we're introducing a summon that you all know and love from FFX: Ixion"
"Ohh, are these the new avatars you promised us?"
"No... just another mob to kill for shineys"
*This update will also allow groups of 18 whm to kill AV
(AV had to be mentioned)
wheres the reposega?

And that picture still makes me think there will be rdm/whm/blm updates. but who knows what that picture really meant?
Are WHM mobs going to start using Sacrifice / Cura / Esuna / Auspice?
I don't think any of these would be a huge deal...not nearly as useful for the enemy as they are for players. Still, just wondering.
If it helps any, remember that interview answer(i think it was in an interview) where they said martyr was supposed to have a short range to make whms feel more "in the action". And they changed that into something much more practical for typical mageing(and probably worth a merit for a lot more people now), so perhaps they will move that way for rdm also.
Sch is now going to be THE subjob choice for whm (assuming its not already) if the damage stance tracks from any source.
1. Pop stance
2. Use sublimation
3. ???
4. Profit
It already was (I sub SCH 99.5% of the time), the update just makes it even more-so if that's the case.Sch is now going to be THE subjob choice for whm (assuming its not already) if the damage stance tracks from any source.
